Doc B's has held a special place in my heart for the past few years. The team service is always outstanding. Our server Martin in particular created an exceptional experience for us. He is one of the BEST. Our glasses were never empty. Our table was constantly manicured. He recommended the oven roasted chicken wings topped with chimichurri which did not disappoint. In addition he sold me on the wedge burger (drooling just thinking about it). The atmosphere/playlist makes it a great spot for dinner and drinks with friends. The chimichurri itself was perfect, bringing a lightness to the dish and masterfully complimenting the char. Entree I ordered the "Number Six" fried chicken sandwich with long slices of pickle and a bun coated with honey-habanero sauce. My partner went with the buffalo chicken sandwich and we halved them together. The Number Six was exquisite, a balanced play of heat, sweet, and vinegar that drew you into each bite and paired wonderfully with an artisan beer from the bar. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was less striking but by no means less than delicious. The fried chicken complimented by a fresh cap of lettuce, onion, and tomato. Staff is ALWAYS very kind, prompt and ready to handle business. Traditional mimosa was not too good. If you're reading this review, YES, make reservations/plans and go visit this place. The ambiance alone makes it a place where you and your significant other can enjoy a date night or you and a few of your closest girl/guyfriends can have drinks before heading out into Uptown. My girlfriend and I had our monthly meet-up and this place came across my Yelp scroll session. I'm glad we decided on this place. Doc B's hasn't been open for too long, but I'm sure it'll be the happening spot. Valet is available for $5 and the valet men use a text messaging system to valet your car. When you're ready for your car to pull up, you open the link that is texted to you and you request your car. I suggest doing so about 5 minutes before your departure. Immediately walking in, the place is breathtaking. The bar, located to your right, is decked out and full of some of your favorite spirits. To your left is outside patio seating. In the middle of the restaurant, you'll see seating available for booths, tables, and high bars. Huge TV screens border the walls of the bar, so if there's a big game on, it'll be playing. Our waiter was more than accommodating and very well-versed in the menu and drinks. My girlfriend and I ordered "The Natural" which was a sweet drink FULL of spirit if you catch my drift. For dinner, I had the Oven Roasted Chicken Wings with a side of Sweet Potato Fries. Our waiter brought me a hot towel to go along with my wings because you know... wings can get a bit messy. She had the Double-Cut Pork Chop with Roasted Potatoes. Both were delicious in its own right. The wings come stacked with 10. My goodness! I could only finish about 4-5 due to how tasty the sweet potato fries were. Our second waiter, the one who delivered our meals, was so kind when I asked about the sweet potato chips. It was very nice of him to bring us a bowl. Those were super good. #getthemtoo For dessert, we shared the Tres Leches Cake!! I just got excited thinking about it. Definitely get the cake if you're a fan. The dress is casual, but nice. We were dressed to hit the town afterwards. The bathrooms were super clean, too! All and all, I highly recommend coming out to enjoy. I will be back for happy hour for sure. The ONLY reason why Doc B's didn't get that extra star is because of the fact that they close so early on a Saturday night (11 PM). I came here for the happy hour. They have great food specials during happy hour. I thought the drink specials could be a tad cheaper during hh, but oh well. I had the lobster roll which was a good serving. I also tried the fries, but I wasn't a fan of the fries. They serve candied bacon at the bar for hh. I put one slice in my lobster roll. Those things are dangerous because they are just staring you in the face, and the bartender keeps refilling the glass when you finish the bacon. They have rose on tap, that's what I had. Yum! Floor to ceiling windows give this place an open and welcoming ambiance. There's interesting art and a huge patio. The seating inside is a little limited and close quarters, but we were happy enough to find a brunch place on Sunday that was not an hour wait. I Got the #6 Spicy sandwich and the quinoa salad. It was delicious. The sandwich was epic and beautifully done, even for just a fried confection. The quinoa salad was refreshing with cucumber, radish, and mint. The coffee was okay. My friends order the breakfast sandwich, chicken sausage, avocado bread, and artichokes. The breakfast sandwiches were fantastic. They enjoyed those. But really the sides shine here. The sweet potatoe fries were thick and would make the UK jealous. The breakfast potatoes came with this jalapeno dipping sauce and were perfectly cooked and seasoned themselves. I got the steak frites which was cooked to a perfect Mid-rare and the fries were a great compliment, crispy and well-seasoned. This restaurant is what I would dream of if I wanted to own a hospitality business. The location, ambiance, food, service and drinks are simply fantastic. Visited numerous times and was greeted with enthusiastic servers and waiters/waitresses. You the pork chop is amazing! The sweet potato chips with guacamole is a great compliment to each other. The crab and avocado tower is delicate and flavorful. From what I've eaten, seen and heard about the food is great. Definitely a place to try. Went here for a late dinner with a friend this week and was underwhelmed from the get go. I wanted to like this place - after all they are known for their $3 wine/wells HH. At 8:15 the place had a few tables but when we were seated we were right at the front by the hostess stand. This was made worse by the fact that they seemed to have at minimum 3-4 people always standing there so we felt really uncomfortable. We literally heard every word they were saying. Just WHY would you sit a table there when there are tons of other options? Like maybe even one booth back?!? A young lady then came by to take our drink order. I was thirsty so I asked for water when I ordered the bottle of champagne, (1/2 priced bottles wine/champs on Wednesdays - which it was - will get to that in a bit), and gently said water before the drinks would be great. 10 minutes later our drinks finally come out... Of course, no water. The glass they brought me to drink the champagne in was literally a tiny pilsner glass used for beer flights - so I was constantly refilling my glass 2 oz at a time. SUPER annoying. Also the waiter never, ever refilled my glass for me. Any who.... after asking our waiter for water, yet again, I finally got it. We ordered the number six and the chimichurri wings to split. They kindly did bring this already split so we didn't have to do it at the table, so that was a plus. The number six was yummy, and the only reason why they got a second star. It is a crispy chicken sandwich with habanero honey and pickles served with a side... we went with sweet potato fries at the suggestion of our waiter. The sweet potato fries were unremarkable and mushy. The wings, despite having Parmesan and the chimichurri was bland - would NOT order again. Large portion size, but I only ate two, so that is telling you something. Finally, when it was time to pay our bill the bottle didn't ring up half price. I pointed it out to the waiter that got it fixed. Then he split the bill and the price of the bottle reversed back to full price. I only noticed after he charged my card and I then had to wait for the manager to fix it once again. The lack of attention to detail the entire time was surprising. In a city full of the same restaurant with different names, Doc B's stands out. I came for brunch and can easily say this is one of the best brunch spots I have tried in Dallas, if not THE best. I'm not even a huge brunch goer and I would hands down return here for a meal at any hour! Everything we ate (and drank!) was fresh, packed with flavor, and extremely crave-worthy. You can tell a lot of love goes into each dish and it shows. To make things even better, the service is absolutely outstanding. Everyone I talked to not only made me smile but had a good deal of information in reply to any of my questions. They also made great recommendations and truly made me feel like I was the only guest there (spoiler alert: I was not.) Also.... I work in this building so I've been here enough times to leave a solid review. I've been for the ​happy hour maybe 5-6x, lunch about 5x, and occasionally​ order to-go. I've been satisfied with every meal that I've had. Everything is always fresh (My favorite is the shrimp salad!). The ambiance is great and service is always pretty quick. The happy hour was amazing for a while (the drinks were like $3!) but they've increased pricing and the drinks are more like $6 which is still pretty good. They also provide complimentary honey-glazed bacon during happy hour and the bacon is delicious!! One of the best things about the happy hour. Good food, very attentive staff. My first visit to Doc B's was for dinner on a weeknight. It was a fairly quiet night. My friend and I both ordered a Wok Out Bowl. The first few bites were good--great ingredients and tasty seasoning/sauce. But neither of us could finish our bowls. There was a lot of sauce and all of it seemed to be at the bottom, making the rest of the bowl to sauce-heavy and difficult to finish. One of the staff (maybe a manager?) stopped by our table at one point and asked for our opinions on the food. We were honest--told him we couldn't finish our bowls because there was too much sauce. He thanked us for our feedback, left, and then returned with gift cards for our next visit. He said they were constantly working to improve their menu and invited us to come back for another try. I returned several months later for another try. This time, it was on a weekend and the restaurant was packed. And the service wasn't too great, unfortunately. We sat there for a while without menus or water before flagging down our waiter, who sincerely apologized for the oversight. My boyfriend then ordered a cocktail, and it didn't come for a long time. Someone who appeared to be the manager noticed and told my boyfriend that he would comp the drink, which we thought was very nice (they forgot to comp the drink, but I was still impressed by the fact that they noticed). I ordered one of the dinner salads this time, and it was very good. My boyfriend ordered the steak frites and enjoyed them as well. All in all, Doc B's stands out, even with its occasional mishap, for its genuine desire to ensure that their diners enjoy a good meal. I hope they keep it up and do well. read more

PHENOMENAL!! Came with my wife to celebrate my bday on a Saturday night. The service, food, and decor are EXCEPTIONAL. Our server (Sean) was extremely insightful and had an amazing sense of hospitality. My wife had the lobster roll and a house salad. I had the hot chicken and house salad. The hot chicken wasn't spicy as you'd expect BUT it was fried to perfection and simmered in a rum reduction that gave it an intense sweet flavor. We couldn't make up our minds on the bday dessert so they brought us all 3 lol THEY ARE ALL WOW!! The vibe is sexy, sleek, and modern. It wasn't loud or overcrowded at all. I received 1,000 OpenTable points for booking a reservation for a certain day/time, which happened to be right when I flew in to Dallas around 6pm on a Tuesday. An odd time, I know, but it was worth the bonus points on OpenTable! As we arrived, we were greeted with a bottle of hand sanitizer and a super clean, just wiped down and fully sanitized booth table. We ordered the guacamole with sweet potato chips to start. We aren't huge fans of anything super salty and these were perfect for us! If you like salt, however, I recommend either salting this dish yourself or opting for a different starter. For our dinner, we ordered the 1 lb Angry Meatball starter (it's ENORMOUS) and the Knife and Fork Cobb Salad, split onto two plates with the dressing on the side. The dressing alone will have your taste buds throwing the biggest party ever! Since we devoured all of our sweet potato chips and guacamole to start, we ended up bringing home MOST of the meatball and salad. Let me just tell you Doc B's as one of my new favorite restaurants. I ordered a delivery from Doordash for Doc B's... I I ordered the pork chop, the chicken Lo main, and the number six chicken sandwich. I waited for two hours when I finally decided to reach out to Doordash. They were completely unreachable there was only a sign that somebody was at Doc B's waiting for my order I emailed them I texted them no response and so I tried to cancel my order. Upon an attempt for cancellation they offered me $65 in credits to my DoorDash account as well as a "thank you for being patient" your order is on the way. I thought that was a great deal... Until they proceeded to cancel my order. And I was foodless!!! At that moment Doug Bes called and asked why I canceled my order I told them that I did not cancel and I was waiting for them to deliver it. They attempted to call Doordash over five times they could not get through to them via text email or phone. WHST ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT ONLY TO A CUSTOMER BUT ALSO A MERCHANT. Now for the important part doc B's went above and beyond to personally deliver my order. Not only was the food good the pork chop AMAZING!!! Everything appeared fresh and still great to eat. I will continue to eat at Doc B's from now on I will also order delivery from Doc B's will never use door dash again!
