    Tofu Wok Out Bowl
    Josephine P.

We stumbled upon this place in downtown Dallas and were very pleased with the service, food quality (and quantity) and the ambiance. It is a clean-feeling atmosphere with friendly and attentive servers. The wok dishes were flavorful and delicious (especially the teriyaki). Pork was good but fries needed a bit of salt. Overall great restaurant with diverse menu. I'm excited to come back!

It's always a great treat when we dine at Doc B's !! So many wonderful choices but my taste buds were already craving those Barbecue Ribs! I'm usually the last one to order but a glass of champagne and I was ready to order. I didn't want the cole slaw but our server Lynhia was amazing and so professional and suggested the crispy jalapeño potatoes ( that aren't spicy but very flavorful)really did go well with my Ribs . Restaurant always have a great vibe and the food was delivered in a timely manner plus warm towels and a plates for the bones ! I don't know if global warming is real but there was one small fruit fly or gnat flying around my face and around my head the entire time ( maybe it was attracted to my new cologne /Bellavita/Ceo . My dinner companion was so deep into his Ribs he never notice our little friend and finally he asked why I kept waving my hand ? You don't see that one gnat flying around.. I ended up asking for a to go box and the bill . By this time more gnats had appeared around his area of empty plate of bones and the neighboring table had began to complain also . I was just going to enjoy the rest of my meal at home ! Maybe it's too hot outside for the gnats !! But I will always come back for the Ribs and those delicious potatoes !!

Here is the exact same.dish from 2022. Notice the obviously larger salmon portion.

Ok. Haven't been back in about 2 years. Decided to treat myself. I was disappointed. The service was good and the atmosphere was good. It was the food and drinks that let me down. I ordered the salmon plate. For $35, I expected more. The salmon fillet was half the size it used to be. Tastes fine, but I didnt get my money's worth. The margarita wasn't as good as they usually are. For $15, I've had better ones down the street for cheaper. The Dr Pepper was horribly watered down and drowning in ice. It was like drinking brown water. No carbonation or taste. For $4.50, I expected some taste. Nice people who tried, but the food was a terrible let down. When Ms. Countryman was manager, the place rocked. Not so now. I treated myself to a special lunch, now I'm going somewhere else ro make up for it. Won't be coming back. Thanks.

Always a great meal / experience at Doc B's. From the easy nearby validated garage parking to the service to the food. All in a nice, casual atmosphere. Nice bar and patio area, too. Was confused why all the future Saturday reservations were unavailable on OpenTable until I finally realized they are closed on the weekend. Which is curious for the area. Maybe too much competition? Don't go often due to distance (and limited hours!) but would not hesitate to return in the future.

I always have a consistently good experience when dining at Doc B's. I typically sit at the bar and the service is always quick and friendly. The menu has a variety of items but my go to is usually the noodle nowl or the knife and fork Cobb. This time around I tried the key lime pie and it was amazing!

All of the food here was good. The burger was solid had good seasoning and the kale salad was refreshing sweet and savory crunch. The wings were also very flavorful and were unique. The steak was solid and the crispy potatoes were probably the best part of the meal. One of the let downs were the sprouts only because I usually like them crispy and these were not and were lacking flavor. Finally the cake was a bit dry and I really wish it was warm with ice cream but our waitress recommended we add candied bacon and it was a great idea. However, what I believe truly is the best part of this restaurant is the staff. They are kind, talkative, and were very willing to accommodate our every question and need. I would love to be back to try more of the menu and perhaps lunch.

Eh, this place was alright. I expected more from the menu and its location. Parking is slim and only available in a parking garage. (Not ideal) The service was great! I will say that. It was a slow lunchtime and there were plenty of people there to help us. The food was average. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. It was lacking flavor & sauce, so I had to ask for more on the side. Good but not great is my final consensus :(

We had been to the location in Chicago! It was delicious, so we decided to try it here! Everything was delish! We got the guacamole, Cali salad, and then I got the wok out bowl with tuna (mid well by my choice), veggies and quinoa with a teriyaki sauce. And the hubby got the number six, he said it was seasoned well and the quality of chicken was really good! To finish, I got the CTC Cheesecake....it was awesome!

Such good vibes at this place! Lots of natural light, colorful decor, and friendly faces. I'm in love with their Wok Out bowls. I cannot go a month without one with the sweet&spicy Thai sauce and Shanghai Lo Mein noodles. The drinks are good as well :) Only caveat is the restrooms are very small and dimly lit. Cute but it's hard to check your face in the dark.

we don't get here often but when we do, we really enjoy it. Friendly accommodating service. We were the first to arrive, but for some reason, the kitchen was very slow. The food was excellent and service was even better.

This martini was super strong, I couldn't finish it and that is saying a lot!

I am having a hard time with this review, because it really wasn't bad, but it wasn't really great either. The drinks were decent, the oven roasted wings were really good, the grilled artichokes were also good, but other dishes were bland or needed seasoning, like the chicken kebabs. The service was ok, not bad. I honestly don't have much more to say about this place.

Came in for a client lunch on a Thursday afternoon. With it being my first time in Dallas, this place came well recommended by my coworkers. Loved the location, ambiance and overall set up. Seemed to be a good amount of business folks having lunch, was never too loud despite it being a full restaurant. The menu had a good amount of options as well. I particularly enjoyed their sweet potato chips/dip and bowl options. Pros: Great location for lunch, Starbucks Reserve around the corner, good area for walking after lunch. Cons: n/a

I sampled a few bites from everyone's plates, including the Pepperoni & Italian Sausage Pizza, Fried Chicken (buttermilk biscuit, smashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts), and the Crunchy Chicken Tacos (queso Oaxaca, refried black beans, roasted corn slaw, and salsa borracha). Everything I tried had great flavor and was well prepared. I also tried the Spicy Rigatoni with chicken sausage, roasted mushrooms, spinach, Calabrian panna, and pecorino breadcrumbs. I customized mine by swapping the chicken sausage for blackened chicken and removing the mushrooms, and it was delicious! Several people in our group ordered the Beer Battered Fish & Chips with coleslaw and tartar sauce, and they all raved about it. Overall, Culinary Dropout was a great choice for a birthday celebration good food, a fun atmosphere, and plenty of options for everyone at the table. My only takeaway would be that I'd love to see a few more menu options added, but the dishes we tried were enjoyable and the experience was definitely a good one.

Yardbird Dallas Brunch Review…read more I had the pleasure of visiting Yardbird Dallas for brunch, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. The location is perfect if you're spending the day exploring Dallas--it's surrounded by plenty of activities and is in an extremely walkable area, making it an easy stop to add to your itinerary. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. The hostess was warm and welcoming when seating us, and our server was fantastic. They were knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus and, more importantly, genuinely helpful when it came to making recommendations. I always appreciate a server who can confidently guide you through a menu, especially when there are so many tempting options. I started with the **Espresso Martini**, which was really good and a nice way to kick off brunch. But the true star of the meal for me was the **Holy Trinity Hash**. I'll admit, I was expecting the short rib portion to be more of an afterthought, but I was pleasantly surprised by how generous it was. The short rib was substantial, and all of the flavors came together beautifully. One detail I especially appreciated was the **dirty rice instead of potatoes**. It added so much more character to the dish and paired perfectly with the other components. This was one of those meals where every bite made sense, and I completely understood why our server recommended it. Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the restaurant's design and layout. The space is aesthetically pleasing without feeling overly formal, and I loved that the layout allows you to see across the restaurant--it gives the dining room a lively, open feel. If the Texas heat hadn't been doing the absolute most, I definitely would have considered dining on the patio. It looked like it would be a great option on a cooler day. Overall, my experience at Yardbird Dallas was excellent, and honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. The service, atmosphere, cocktails, and food all came together for a memorable brunch. I'd absolutely return the next time I'm in Dallas, and I'd happily visit another Yardbird location when traveling to a city that has one. The Holy Trinity Hash alone is enough to bring me back.

We came in here and there were a few people eating, but not busy, so we got a seat at the bar. The bar has a great, thick, wooden counter that looks nice and provides a ton of space. It was my birthday, so I treated myself to a nice cocktail, "Purple Rain", which was, "Home infused indigo gin, lemon juice, honey syrup, and grapefruit soda"; this was very well-presented and tastes great. My girlfriend got a well-priced beer she enjoyed, and overall they had an extensive drink selection. Our waitress was pleasant and willing to answer any questions, and we ordered a Guacemole burger to split, on a gluten-free bun, with some caramelized onions added, because it had a happy hour deal. Our burger was well-sized with the double patty, and the bacon was thick, but they forgot to add guacamole, and the onions were fried and not caramelized, so I took mine off and gave them to my gf. The gluten-free bun was great, because it held together and didn't fall apart like a lot of buns of its kind. I wasn't paying attention and bit into the side of their mega toothpick and caused some pain to my tooth, but it's hard to blame the restaurant for that. Worth noting that the fries were solid too. Their menu had some really interesting things on it that i'll try if i'm ever back in the neighborhood. Also, they gave me a complimentary bowl of fruit as a birthday treat, which I appreciated.
