Let me just tell you Doc B's as one of my new favorite restaurants. I ordered a delivery from Doordash for Doc B's... I I ordered the pork chop, the chicken Lo main, and the number six chicken sandwich. I waited for two hours when I finally decided to reach out to Doordash. They were completely unreachable there was only a sign that somebody was at Doc B's waiting for my order I emailed them I texted them no response and so I tried to cancel my order. Upon an attempt for cancellation they offered me $65 in credits to my DoorDash account as well as a "thank you for being patient" your order is on the way. I thought that was a great deal... Until they proceeded to cancel my order. And I was foodless!!! At that moment Doug Bes called and asked why I canceled my order I told them that I did not cancel and I was waiting for them to deliver it. They attempted to call Doordash over five times they could not get through to them via text email or phone. WHST ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT ONLY TO A CUSTOMER BUT ALSO A MERCHANT. Now for the important part doc B's went above and beyond to personally deliver my order. Not only was the food good the pork chop AMAZING!!! Everything appeared fresh and still great to eat. I will continue to eat at Doc B's from now on I will also order delivery from Doc B's will never use door dash again! I've dined here quite a few times now and it's not a bad lunch spot. I was honestly between putting 3 and 4 starts though because today for lunch the service was very sparse... when our waiter was at the table he was great. Problem is he was only there about 3-4 times throughout the entire meal, 2 of those times to take the order and to drop the check. Granted we ate here at a bit of an "off" time, around 2:30-3:00ish, however no customer should ever be looking around for their server with empty drinks for 20 minutes, ever. The saving grace though was the food. Honestly everything was very tasty. The lobster roll, the street corn, the chicken wings, and the artichokes were all very good. We will be back, but perhaps at a time when the service will be a little more attentive! read more

Me and Doc B's is thick! Haha. Lookin for a place to hang and enjoy baked wings (diet doesn't allow fried) and I hit this place up one evening. Love love loved the chimichirri treatment! The drink was yummy--the bartenders were a lot of happy! It became my new wing place! Loved my dinner and went to sleep happy. Fast forward to today. After a battle royale with the allergies, waking up late, yada, yada , yada, I arrived here for more wings, after deciding against the steak craving as I wasn't feeling the fancy steakhouse vibe. However. I knew I could get the w'awesome wings (need alliteration here, so that 'new word' creation is free to borrow). Then, I spotted the chimichirri steak on the menu just before ordering the wings. Yes, I waffled my decision but thought I could get my chimichirri fix from the wings and my steak, too! The cut is the flat iron and that is a hit or miss selection on the bovine body. I tried it. It was cooked past medium and the sweet server offered to replace it. I was hungry and decided just to eat it as it was. A couple bites in, started having the gristle effect. AND THAT, I cannot power through, so they replaced it with thee wings I was gonna enjoy in the first place. After a lonnnnng day, (cue "nobody knows the trouble I've seen...") (Remember my scale 3 is average) This place is a solid 4 (above average). We went here during lunch and even though it was busy the service here was still pretty fast and attentive. I hope the pictures of the food gives it justice because everything had good flavor. I never had a lobster roll with peanuts, it was different but it was really good. Now it won't beat what you get in the Northeast but for Texas I though this hit the spot. My wife had the pork chop and wow it was a good size for lunch. She thought the taste was good but the potatoes were just okay. The drinks were good and we had no complaints there.. They will also validate parking so that is an added plus. ***BLACK PEOPLE BEWARE*** A friend and I met for a girl's day last weekend. I utilized OpenTable to confirm a dinner reservation for 2 on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Doc B's Fresh Kitchen, Uptown Dallas. As we entered the restaurant, we noticed that it was by a large scale, quite empty. There were no patrons at the bar, and only one couple seated in solitude at a table. The host attempted to seat us at a dirty booth adjacent to the kitchen and within similar distance to the restroom. When we addressed it, the host apologized for the error and sat us along the same kitchen wall in the next available booth in an equally undesirable location. After sliding into the booth, I recognized that the kitchen was full of sounds and the restaurant was again, empty. I returned to the host stand and asked if we could have a seat near the restaurant center. The manager, Jillian, begrudgingly accommodated and moved us to a center booth. I thanked Jillian for the change as we were reseated. And now we finally met our server, Sam. Sam took our initial drink orders and we were left to view the menus at our leisure. My friend left her phone in the car, and ventured back to the valet stand to work out its retrieval. In the time she was away from the table, I shared with Sam that we intended to peruse the menu and order multiple items as we were in no hurry. Sam said she understood and smiled. Now here's where things get very interesting.* Sam disappeared for a while. The next face we see is another server who then informs us that we are able to stay in the booth and enjoy the restaurant as long as we desire. I replied that there must be some confusion. I informed him that I would correct the misunderstanding with Sam. I could see the server smile at us through his mask and then continued working. After an inordinate amount of time, Sam finally returned. I explained to Sam that my friend and I had not seen one another in a while and wanted to chew the fat while checking out this establishment. Sam said nothing. I asked Sam were there any chef's creations that were not featured on the menu. Sam was unprepared to describe the two kitchen features. She couldn't readily describe the crab tower dish and went for assistance. She returned with a picture. Once we settled on our order, we moved forward with both special features. We waited and waited and waited again, for our server to return and our order to arrive. Once the specials came, we sampled each other's dish. I immediately noticed that the pork chop could not be cut with a knife. It was overcooked and as chewy as a rubber tire. The careless preparation rendered the dish both undesirable and inedible. After a time of waiting on our server, Sam, to return, again, we shared with her that the dish was inedible. Sam reported this to Jillian who came and stated that the restaurant was out of pork chops and she would be unable to remake the dish. We decided to review the menu for another selection. Jillian then reached over my food while I was eating to remove the plates. Moments later, the server who came by earlier to advise us that we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted returned. This time, the matter at issue was explained to us for our awareness and understanding. When we arrived at the restaurant Jillian remarked to the staff that we were not the desirable clientele that Doc B's wanted to attract. All Jillian knew is that we were the wrong ethnicity and complexion to have used OpenTable.com to confirm a reservation at the restaurant she managed. And it showed. We learned that our server Sam was also a culprit in the scheme to rid Doc B's of our kind. When the table seating scenario occurred, Sam remarked that we may only tip her 5-10% of our total bill. The bias perception presents that Black customers are poor tippers and are often looking to obtain something for free when going to a restaurant. My evening at Doc B's was a definitive reminder that the institution of racism is alive and well. After she was caught red-handed spewing racist propaganda, Jillian doubled down on her position. She then falsely stated that I had an "attitude" with her and that is the reason why she didn't consider us quality clientele for Doc B's. With this sensational lie, Jillian attempted to trade upon the stereotype that black women are ill-mannered, ill-spoken and ill-behaved (insert fictitious neck roll and finger snaps). I found my visit to Doc B's abhorrent. I felt obligated to pay a gratuity that was unearned, because the service and atmosphere was despicable. Furthermore, I felt pressured to atone for the racist profiling I had just endured from Jillian by displaying that I could pay whatever bill was set in front of me. The imposition was both embarrassing and humiliating. This practice devalued me as a customer, a Black woman and a human being. OpenTable confirmed the restaurant checked us in at 6:13 P.M. and the $89.57 ticket was closed at 8:09 P.M. read more

I am a tourist. Doc B was recommended. I thought I would try. A relatively small menu. I chose the appetizer with Mango, crab and avocado thinking it might be like a crab cake. When Bailey told me it's not really and it's chilled. I was a bit turned off. She said it's good. So, I tried. OMG!!! It's beyond good. I can smell the sesame oil which I LOVE. When I start eating, EVERYTHING was very fresh. A layer of avocado on the bottom followed by chopped mango. Then very fresh crab meat. To finish, there is some crunchy crumbs on top. I was in heaven. Wonderful! It's modern and yet cozy. The food is fantastic: it felt as if each dish and sides complimented each other! The pan seared chicken and quinoa paired perfectly and the ribs was so savory and tender! It literally felt off the bone! The service was excellent! Each of the staff were on their feet and was always making sure we were good. One staff took our plates and the other brought out fresh silverware. May have been that it was the most beautiful day or that I just really liked this place. The rose on tap was just as good as I thought it would be. The pancakes and waffles were fluffy and sweet but not over powering. The potato's were beyond perfect, and the toast is magical. The only ONLY complaint is the sweet potato chips were really bitter and were the price to pay in order to eat the guacamole. Service was beyond amazing. Cute place, with great daily special. Especially on Sundays. I went last Sunday with two of my girl friends and they were serving froze all day (i believe that's what it was) at a discounted price. But the service wasn't too good, and my food kind of lack flavor. I simply ordered a Mediterranean Shrimp salad but it was missing the initials! There were no onions or peperoncinis ! My husband and I randomly walked up to this restaurant. Lately, my husband has been loving fresh/organic ingredients. He convinced me to check out the menu and we were sold instantly. The prices are little high, but that makes sense for downtown Dallas. We went on a Sunday for brunch. We arrived at 12 pm and it was the perfect time since it got super packed after. My husband and I both ordered the egg sandwiches. He ordered the simple egg sandwich and I the borderline egg sandwich. The potatoes on the side were incredible. The eggs were fluffy! Came here for brunch with a few people a few Sundays ago and felt compelled to leave a review after an excellent experience. I cannot remember a time when I was at a restaurant where every single thing that came out of the kitchen looked like it was made for instagram, and then it tasted even better than it looked. Service was very warm and polite, prompt, and accommodating. Management also stopped over to introduce themselves and gave us some excellent recommendations as well, as it was our first time. The kitchen was serving the entire menu, not just brunch so we got a bit of everything. Started off with candied bacon and a massive wagyu meatball. Both were excellent. And disappeared quickly. We also ordered a cinnamon pancake which apparently has a reputation here- I am not sure how they made this but it looked like a cinnamon roll yet had the complexion of a pancake. A unique taste that we could not get over. Even better than the meatball and bacon! Lastly we got some breakfast sandwiches which were fantastic as well. Also, the bloody mary's are excellent- made with mid/top shelf vodka- and at $5, you cant beat the price. I've had bloody's 3x the cost of this one that couldn't hold a candle to Doc B's bloody. In fact, everything here was really reasonably priced, especially for the quality of the food and level of service. I wouldn't exactly use value and eating out in the same sentence, but Doc B's is the closest to what that is for me. I know this review keeps using the word "excellent", but that is exactly what everything here was. I cant get back here soon enough! read more

My friend got drink, I can't remember the name, but it had beet juice and mint in it, with other juices & gin. Sounds odd, but it was really delicious and refreshing! For the meal we split the lobster roll and the number 6, which is a spicy, crispy chicken sandwich. First, the chicken sandwich. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the sauce was the perfect level of spice. It was a simple sandwich, with just pickles on it, but all the flavors were so delicious. The bun was such a great way to bring it all together. Highly recommend giving this a try! Second, the lobster roll. So glad I tried this, and I'll definitely be getting again! BIG chunks of lobster meat, with a delicious slaw, and buttered roll! It is so so good!!! If you like seafood, this sandwich is a must try. I've had lobster rolls before that left much to be desired, but this one was A plus. The restaurant is very modern, but also nice and cozy, very cool place to have a nice dinner with friends or significant other. I highly recommend trying this place! Absolutely outstanding! I live about 2 blocks from this place but hadn't stopped by to check it out yet. Then one night I was starving and craving a turkey burger (not easy to find) and a cobb salad. I was searching Ubereats for some nearby options. When Doc B's came up I figured it was a good opportunity to at least check out their food. I ordered the Cajun Turkey Burger with Crispy Jalapeño Potatoes as my side and the Knife And Fork Cobb. The burger and the bun were fantastic. Very nice portion too. The potatoes were pretty good although a tiny bit salty for my taste. I'm not sure about the jalapeno part because they weren't spicy but they came with a super tasty cilantro type of dipping sauce. The cobb was very impressive too! It had a variety of fresh greens and just the right amount of additions like perfectly ripened avocado, yummy blue cheese, a little bacon, a little egg, a few tomato slices and a few large tasty croutons. The dressing tasted identical to a poppyseed dressing. On top was a very generous piece of fried chicken. Perfectly fried and the chicken wasn't (to my surprise) dry! It also came with honey mustard which was an awesome surprise, especially if you're a sauce person like me. I usually am only moderately happy with food that gets delivered. I've grown to lower my expectations. But this was really impressive! I was VERY happy with my order and would recommend them. I know, it's a strange thing to complain about but they were playing the kind of music you would expect at a sports bar and not at a nice uptown restaurant bar. We talked to the waitress about it who agreed with us but she said that was the manager's choice. I don't throw many 5 star accolades on a first visit but a wise person once told me that first impressions usually leave lasting impressions. This spot actually from start to finish left a lasting one. From first greeting too the end perfection. I was promptly greeted by the manager who was nice and courteous and escorted me too the table. Once there a very charismatic waiter named Martin took care of the table. All of the recommendations that were given outside of one drink were on point. The manager recommended dessert, another server Jason, one of the cooks and another manager Chad also visited. They run a tight ship him and didn't lack for customer service. Now for the food. The chicken wings get 10 Stars from me this was the star of the entire menu. They give you at least 10 plus wings but the flavor is explodes in your mouth with hints of cheese and the sauce that is left over deserves a side of bread. The grilled shrimp appetizer was very good but I kept going back to those wings. The double cut pork chop is the 2nd best I've had in life. Better than Perry's and comparable too Houston's. Full of taste, moist and for 15 bucks you couldn't ask for more. The Tres Leche cake. Very good not messy not overbearing and perfect serving. For brunch the chicken and waffles were unique and the waffle was quite soft and delicious. The chicken had sweet taste too it. The appetizer meatball could be an entree on its own on a light day.
