    Crispy Veggie Spring Rolls

I ordered Mongolian Beef and some veggie spring rolls via DoorDash. The beef was really tender and flavorful, and the spring rolls stayed crispy despite the trek through Atlanta traffic.

I live within walkable distance to this restaurant, and this place is located in a nice, cutesy plaza. There are so many positive reviews (over 1,400 reviews on Google), so I wanted to know what the hype was about. Sadly, I was disappointed with the flavors and what they claim to be. I've never seen a pad thai so colorless and flavorless. It lacked the original Thai spices or flavors, felt like noodles and eggs. I also ordered the thai coconut chicken soup (~$3.50). This had some spices, coconut milk, and bits of white chicken. I cannot believe this was the best tasting thing out of everything we ordered. The Chinese black bean noodles were pretty disappointing. It was just a stir fry with bits of black beans and beef. Usually, when people think of Chinese black bean noodles, I think of jajamyung, a traditional Chinese dish in a black bean sauce (not a stir fry). Overall, it lacked seasoning and flavor- something you could spot by looking at the color. I mean at least the food came hot? As for the service and how the restaurant works, you grab a menu or look at the specials listed on the board. Then, you go up to the guy at the counter and place your order and pay via tablet. You can sit wherever you want with a number indicating your order. You get your own utensils, napkins, and takeout containers. I like that the takeout containers are out for when customers can conveniently need them. Each table has a roll of paper towels and sriracha bottles. I think the guys giving us our food were fairly blunt and unwelcoming. They were confused when giving us our food or somebody else's food, but we know what we ordered. From the outside, it doesn't look like such casual dining. There is a very filled parking lot right at the front of the restaurant.

This place is right in Morningside in a shopping center with plenty of parking. It has a nice screened patio to enjoy your food! You order at the counter and your food is brought out to you! The staff is always smiling here! The food is good depending on what you get, I got a special the last time and have no clue what it was called but it was delicious! They also have beer and sake! If you're in morningside looking for a nice lil lunch, it's worth the try.

This restaurant deserves all the hype! I got the Mongolian stir fry with tofu. It was delicious and I loved that there was such great meatless options :) The dining area was very calm and food came out fast. Great place for a casual meal with family, friends, or coworkers.

I've loved Doc Chey's since I was a little kid! They sadly closed the one near my house years ago so traveling to this one is always the best treat. Their lo mein is genuinely one of my favorite foods in the whole world! Everyone is so sweet there and the food never ever disappoints me. I also tried the coconut soup and it was a shocking mix between spicy and sweet! It was very good too, I'm glad I tried it! But the lo mein is always a must.

Bbq buns ( pass on these)

I stopped by on a random Friday for lunch. The restaurant was basically empty. Perhaps maybe six people tops. I was greeted by a lovely hostess, who informed me of the specials and also check to see if my number was still in the system. It was! I ordered the special and the barbecue buns, which I really didn't like but oh no not to get those again. All my food was delivered fresh and hot. The restaurant was clean and relaxing. Happy to be back after being gone for two years living in Florida. The food here in Atlanta cannot be beat.

When I walked in, I was impressed to see a Michelin-recommended sign posted at the entrance, which definitely made me curious to try something they were recognized for. I tried the vegetarian chive and egg bun appetizer, which was light and delicious if you are a fan of chives. Our table also ordered the fried potsticker dumplings--gets good and a must-try. The noodles were so fresh, and I loved that you can actually customize and pick your noodle size. It was also really cool that you can watch them make the noodles right through the window! The restaurant was clean, and we were able to be seated right away. There was a steady flow of people to include take out but it didn't feel overwhelmingly busy. The waitstaff was excellent and made sure we fully understood how the menu worked. Our food was delivered promptly and all at one time. While everything tasted great, I would have preferred the appetizers to come out first, as delivering it all together put a lot on the table at once. Overall, it's a frilly good , clean spot with great service, and I'd definitely recommend it!

The customer service was A1 as a matter of fact is it possible to be too customer service focused because she made sure attention was given. I can't remember her name but she did awesome. Let's talk about this food. I love the scallion pancake and just up the road is Trader Joe's who has a really good product for scallion pancake but there is nothing like getting it at a restaurant. It was so flaky and crispy I'm obsessed. You can never go wrong with a spring roll and so I got the veggie spring rolls and enjoyed them immensely but for me the star of the show was my entree. The house Chow fun that had shrimp steak chicken was so good. The veggies while minimal worked perfectly so the protein and noodles were the stars. And I definitely left with it to go box. There was enough food to keep you satiated at the restaurant and have a meal at home. They also have a list of boba tea and milk teas that will keep you engaged. While I didn't purchase one plenty of people came in to order them. And there was no shortage of In-N-Out traffic of residents coming in for lunch and doing takeouts. So if you want a cute lunch date go and check out dumpling master. Okay bye

FOOD (3/5): Some of the things I had was really good, some weren't very good. Hit or miss. $7 MILK TEA: I didn't want boba, but didn't know how to order it without on my phone, whoops! It was yummy. $8 PORK & SHRIMP SIU MAI: they were undercooked and I could heavily taste flour. I love that they are made fresh, however either thin out the dough or cook longer. $9 PORK SOUP DUMPLINGS: these were delish! And came with a sweet dipping sauce. $13 GARLIC BOK CHOY: shareable portion and very flavorful! This was my favorite item. Comes with white rice, but the rice was hard and tasted old. OVERALL (3/5): I wasn't super impressed, but there aren't many Asian restaurants in this area.

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.

A unique noodle dish with a cute origin story!…read more The story begins with a wife wanting to nourish her husband while he studied for the Imperial Exams on a little island. She made a rich golden chicken noodle soup and sealed in the flavor, heat, and aroma with a layer of chicken oil; and packed the other ingredients separately so that her husband could have a fresh meal as he studied. This dish and style of preparation/presentation eventually became known as Crossing-the-Bridge noodles and is categorized as an intangible cultural heritage for the region. Similar to hot pot, you're supposed to cook the individual ingredients in the hot broth when it all comes out; however, the pot isn't constantly cooking and it should all go in when it arrives at the table. The original broth is really flavorful, while remaining delicate and hearty, and all the various components go well together. The only thing is that the broth does cool down relatively quickly once you start putting in all the other ingredients, so some things weren't as hot as I would've liked. But, overall, I enjoyed my experience! Service was wonderful and there's always parking in this plaza.
