This was my first visit to DOC D's Southern Desserts. I walked into the store and it was dimly lit. It was my cheat day so I decided to treat myself to a treat. I purchased the strawberry cake. The strawberry cake was really delicious. However, ii couldn't eat the frosting because it was too sweet for me only because my decrease with sugar intake. Service was quick.

It's a big open space with slices and cakes on display. If you don't see what you would like, ask, they might have it in the back. I tried the red velvet - it was very soft and moist. Probably one of the best. The cream cheese was not too heavy. It was a great red velvet. It was definitely pricey, $10 for a slice. We were planning on getting a cake, but it would have been $70, and we had never tried it before. The banana pudding was also on point, not too sweet and got a reasonable portion for $6. The strawberry remix (throwback to the good humor strawberry shortcake ice cream) had two layers of strawberry cake and one layer of vanilla with some cookie crumble. Also $10. This one was very dry and the frosting was dry. I wonder if we got a old slice. Red Velvet and Banana pudding was great, just a little pricey.

The best take out dessert place you will find. Everything is delicious. My favorites are: Red Velvet, Blue Velvet, Pineapple-Coconut, Chocolate, Vanilla, Pound Cake. For my husband's 65th birthday on December 18, 2024 I ordered a Red Velvet sheet cake to feed 100 people. It was moist and delicious and we had more than enough for everyone. My son is a firefighter and he gets all of the cakes for his firehouse from this place. Anytime I have guests I purchase my cakes from here. However, most times I just purchase a variety of slices since I can't decide on one particular flavor. The prices are competitive and the service is great. You can email them your order and it will be ready when you arrive as long as you send it three days in advance. Even if you don't order in advance they always have a HUGE supply of freshly baked cakes and cake slices. Although I have never ordered a specialty cake with fondue icing they do them. They have made many cakes for celebrities that are gorgeous. Bottom line, whichever way you decide to go with ordering a cake, traditional or specialty, you won't be disappointed. Plus they support the community. That's an added value for supporting this business.

Was working at an event at the Brooklyn Navy yard. Doc's was at the event and I bought a strawberry cheesecake as well as a peach cobbler and Oreo banana bread pudding. Everything I bought was outstanding. The cheesecake barely made it back to Long Island since I kept eating it. My girlfriend also loved the Oreo banana bread pudding. The Peach cobbler was also amazing. I wish I lived closer to this store. A++++++

Finally got a chance to try the desserts here and I was not disappointed! Spacious room with 2 counters and plenty of desserts on display. Employee working as friendly and helpful, giving his recommendations and, when I signed up for their rewards texts, I got a free slice. Both the Red Velvet banana pudding and the ATL Lemon Cake were delicious in their own right, with the portions being perfect (no crumbs were left) and the frosting/cake and wafers/pudding ratio being on point. An absolute must.

Service: called my order in. It was easy, fast and reliable. Receipt and payment were electric. Food: chocolate on chocolate cake. It was delicious. Moist, just the right amount of sweet. Everyone enjoyed it. Completely recommend this cake shop.

Firstly the rebrand has been phenomenal, I love the care that has obviously gone in to the packaging, transportation and delivery of my order. It really felt like it was delivered straight from the shop with no problems. The lotusella crepe was every biscoff lover's dream come true. The pairing with chocolate and banana and strawberry is a classic hit and I love that they didn't skimp on the chocolate or biscoff here. The layers of crepe were appropriate thickness and not too dense. I hate when they crepe is too thick and feels like you're getting a mouthful of dough. Not with this bad boy. I like the dusting of lotus crumbs and they actually don't go soggy which is nice. I can't wait to try more things of their menu. A true neighborhood gem!!

We ordered one strawberry and one strawberry banana crêpe. They were filled with strawberries and bananas, and the outside was drizzled with glorious Nutella, which is a hazelnut chocolate sauce . The texture of the crêpes were absolutely perfect and that was the part I was most craving. I also loved the Nutella part. The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. All good and definitely satisfied my crêpe craving, but next time I would stop by to enjoy their desserts in person. The Kunafa looks particularly wonderful and has definitely peaked my curiosity.

The mango is a standout, and the brownies are honestly next-level--warm, decadent, and just a step away from a perfect lava cake. They've also got amazing cakes (including a fantastic carrot cake) and a great selection of treats that keep you coming back. What really makes this place special, though, is the owner, Peter. He's always welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. He greets customers with a smile, takes the time to say hello, and creates an atmosphere that feels both personal and inviting. The staff deserves just as much praise--every single one of them is amazing: professional, friendly, funny, and kind. I've known many of them over time, and they consistently go above and beyond. Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

Seating space (not a lot of it, so I imagine it can get packed on busy times) and bathrooms on premises. Hot chocolate was delicious. We got the spiced dark chocolate and the spices were overwhelming. Get dark chocolate without spices. The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Torino cafe is basically coffee added to any hot chocolate of your choice. That was tasty with dark chocolate. You definitely tasted the coffee and it was less thick than regular hot chocolate (which was on a thinner, sippier side). You can sample ice cream to make your selection. It's all very sweet, so if you're looking for a less sweet option go with Belgian dark chocolate flavor. For a $18 banana split you get three scoops of ice cream and a caramelized banana. Not a big portion for such hefty price. The tiny addition of toppings didn't make this banana split come together into a cohesive dish. Would get something else next time. Definitely not a good deal. Young lovely girls at the cashier were super friendly and accommodating. The not so young gentleman with a mustache who brought our order to the table was very dismissive and rude when we asked him to please bring us a correct order (he carried multiple orders and was harried to be done delivering them and barked something incoherent at us when we asked for help).
