I travel for work. I've had burger after burger but this by far is the best smash burger I've had in years. The views, the food, Morgan was a vibe with just natural rapport. Couldn't even take a photo before we dove in.

This place has a great view, but very poor service. At least in the bar area. The bartenders are busy yes, but they are quite aloof and seem not to care. I'll be coming back for sure as my group of friends enjoy the view and live music. The food is ok, I usually get a burger and a humus dip. Hoping a better experience on the tables where you get an actual server and don't have to go to the bar. Tip: it gets very busy, plan accordingly.

The Yelp page for this place led me astray. There were no oysters nor Brussels sprouts as shown on the page. This is a bar that's part of the Hyatt serving bar food: sandwiches, burgers, and hot dogs. That being said, I was quite impressed by their food. The fries were outstanding - crispy and tender with just a light touch of seasoning. Their Cali chicken sandwich was also very good - a juicy, large chicken breast on a brioche bun. They also have a good selection of beers and wines. The highlight, however, was their location, which is right by Lake Washington. The tables are self serve. They also have a couple of round sofas with a fire pit. Overall, a casual place to hang out and enjoy the view.

A popular place along the lake side area. Its a good place to sit and enjoy the view. The service can be a bit slow depending on how busy they get, but they do try to make sure you are set. I just ordered a drink while waiting for dinner reservations in the area.

So glad that dock and drink is open! Amazing service from Rameena and Sana...always so friendly and professional! Music is great. Great summer spot

The good - Amazing views, great ambiance, strong drinks. The bad - The burger I ordered tasted like someone grilled all the flavor out of it, and then kept going just to be safe. I honestly don't understand how someone can make a burger taste that bad. Drinks are also $$$ That being said, great place to lounge and hang out with friends on a nice warm sunny day.

You have to order at the bar and it can be slightly hectic, especially if it's nice out because that means EVERYONE is out...which also means finding a table can be a challenge. The bar line moves pretty quickly and we were lucky to find a table- although we had to bus/clear it ourselves since the previous party left all of their trash...like lime wedges on the table, plates of food, all their cups. And I think what is most annoying is, it wasn't that much further to just do it themselves, like turn around and take 5 steps. The view can't be beat, there was a little wait which is to be expected on a summer night. We got the chopped salad, Greek salad and burger (which came with fries). The chopped salad was so good, I have decided I will return solely for that, every bite was good. The burger wasn't impressive and you'd think for $19, it would have been ($25 at Daniel's broiler and it's SO good), fries are double fried so they are extra crispy.

Food is solid but pricey. Nice location, although the ambiance has suffered recently. I'll be back regardless!

The restaurant ambiance is unmatched and it's obvious they put lots of consideration and care into their design and food. Though we both liked our entrees, we both thought the protein quality of the mains is just ok. The winning dish is the mini arepas, hands down. I would order those mini arepa for my entree easily. This location is roomy. Service is warm; our server was helpful answering questions. The Food: Arepitas Fritas, $17 - 5+ Stars Four mini arepa in the appetizer section, these start with the same cornmeal (masa de maíz) base as the normal arepa, then topped with cheese, slow cooked beef, quail egg, and pink sauce. These bites are sooooo good! They sell the full-size arepas also, which will likely be a future meal. :) Platanos Fritos, $8 - 5 Stars Gotta love Latin foods with their plantains. Simple and delicious. Theirs are perfectly prepared. Camarones de Ajillo, $19 - 3.5 Stars These shrimps are cooked in garlic, herbs, and cream. The herb butter sauce is excellent, but the shrimps' quality is just ok. We liked it enough but will not order again. Asado Negro Tips, $23 - 3.5 Stars 8 oz of NY strip are cooked cubed in asado sauce, served with yuca fries and quasaca, a mini tomato and avocado salad. Again, the asado sauce is excellent, but the steak pieces are on the tough side. The yuca fries didn't stand out. This is also a 'liked it enough but won't order again' dish.

The speakeasy-style entrance sets the tone right away--very prohibition-era vibes, a little mysterious, and definitely part of the charm. It's the kind of place you half expect to need a password to get into. Once inside, the ambiance really delivers. Dim lighting, cozy atmosphere, and a menu that leans into that classic cocktail culture without feeling overdone. The drinks are genuinely solid--well-crafted, balanced, and surprisingly fairly priced for the quality. What really makes this spot stand out, though, is the live jazz. If you can swing a visit on a Sunday or Monday night, do it. The music adds so much character to the space and turns a casual night out into something memorable and a little transportive. Service was a bit slow during our visit, but honestly, it made sense--there were only two people running the entire place. Even with that, they stayed friendly and composed, which says a lot. It didn't take away from the experience, just something to be aware of if you're in a rush. Overall, The Alley is a gem--great vibes, great music, and great cocktails. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something a little different in West Seattle.
