We were happy to find this bar open on a Sunday. Tons of seating and big screens everywhere for the game. We sat on the little couches in front of the bar and had a few cocktails. I had the Cleopatra - very sweet but the flavors are amazing. Coworker had the Mama Mia which he enjoyed as well. Kinda like a speitzer but fancier. Can't wait to come back! read more

Thanks Again Steve for the response. Nothing in particular. A solid classic menu with a few twist would be amazing. The average age of the folks I witnessed when I was there was closer to 45. Most were drinking beer. Whatever you serve should just be good enough to warrant buying two more. I didn't get a hint of alcohol in my cup...my drink was watery & sweet. A solid cocktail is all you need to capitalize on that amazing view in the summer. Adding the bar was brilliant!...it's an easy win with great drinks. read more

This place is all about the ambiance. The water view on a sunny day is gorgeous. We came on a weekday around 4:00PM, the place was pretty empty with socially distanced tables in a heated tent and we sat ourselves. Our server greeted us quickly and took our drink and food order promptly. Since we came before the dinner hour there were only a few flatbreads, olives and almonds on the menu. We went with the Margherita flatbread and olives. Our food arrived before our drinks. It was a sunny day so the restaurant became more crowded, so I think the bartender got backed up. Food and drink pricing was a little expensive, but expected because it does have the beautiful view of the water. When we left we saw the dinner dishes, pastas and such and they looked tasty so I'll probably come back for dinner. I would say this is a good touristy or influencer restaurant or for a Seattlite that wants to take in the lovely water view and ambiance. read more

Service was good but the food is extremely overpriced and was not good at all. They add a 20% service charge but it's not all for the servers like at other places who add a service charge. This isn't a forced tip for the workers, it's a money grab for the restaurant as the fine print points out that the restaurant takes 25% of the service charge. Feels like an incredibly dishonest thing to do and incredibly unfair to the servers. Will not be back. read more

Very poor quality food for the price. Do not recommend. Sushi is not fresh, automatic 20% service charge added to your bill. Beautiful views is the only pro. Love watching the sunset from here. Sit in the chairs on the dock sipping a mule, munching on ceviche. So good! The Buffalo sliders, the grilled cheese, and pork tacos were perfect. Park is next door and great for a stroll. Parking is reimbursable in the garage n free on Sundays. read more

Houston and the staff were awesome. Drinks are great. Live music on Thursday and Friday is awesome, however you could get more people if you offer up local sports teams on television before and after the performances. The food menu needs to increase. I really have mixed emotions about my first visit to Dock & Drink. Maria, upstairs in the restaurant was amazing. She sat me at the bar for a glass of wine while I waited for Dock & Drink to open at 3PM, (google times are very wrong.) once seated outside on the patio, water front the atmosphere was amazing. Clean, fresh, inviting, sunny and warm. I ordered a glass of Sav Blanc, 17 minutes later, instead of asking me if Chardonnay would be fine she just brought it to me. Then walked off. (Can I order food?) I ordered the quinoa salad add chicken and feta cheese. 23 minutes later my salad came to me with out the chicken or the feta. They took it away and 17 minutes later brought me the salad with chicken but the feta was missing in action. I don't even bother. The salad is great. I would come back again for the salad if I could bring my own utensils. The camping, plastic, in a wrapper with a wet wipe sized napkin just doesn't cut it. I'd love for my fork to hold more than just a black bean or corn kernel at a time. The staff was super nice. I am definitely cutting slack today as it's one of the first warm days in Seattle on the water. But I have to be honest there are a few deciding factors that don't sit well with me. I will be back. What a lovely spot to stop in for some drinks and dinner after a full day. Our party of three LOVED the brussel sprouts and flatbread to start. MMMM I could live off those Brussels. Our drinks were all wonderful on our first round- and then on the second we must have had another bartender prep the drinks. The flavors were slightly different/off in each of ours the second round. Sat down at the dock and did a mobile order as we were prompted to do. Ordered 4 drinks and chicken wings. Waited 25 minutes before being greeted at all. Went up to the bar to ask what was going on. They didn't have any record of our order and proceeded to take another 10 minutes to make our drinks. So 35 minutes later, we get our drinks, one of which had been sitting in the well for 30 minutes and was completely watered down. The wings came and they were tiny and barely had any sauce on them. Not to mention they were cold. Nobody IDed us and when we asked for water, we were told they didn't have any and that they're operating without a sink in the vicinity right now. Nobody apologized for our wait or inconvenience and there was an automatic 18% gratuity charged for getting no service. read more

Nice view and sitting area but I won't be back and won't recommend this to anyone. Dock and Drink is a great place to kick off for some happy hour beverages. The staff is fantastic. Houston, the bar tender was great. Live music is also nice here. One downside is lack of sports broadcasting. Kracken playing for a spot in the NHL playoffs tonight and they can't get the TV feed in this bar. What!?? C'mon Hyatt!! Do it right! I had a hard time understanding the 2-3 star reviews at this place, but eventually figured it out. The food is just okay, and is now served in individual takeout containers. It is expensive, which I expected with the view, but too pricey for eating out of takeout boxes. You order the food yourself from a QR code at your table and put in your credit card number. There is an automatic 20% service charge. For having to order yourself online and punch in your own credit card and having food brought out in to go boxes, the mandatory service charge is pretty crazy. To validate parking at the restaurant, you have to go inside, upstairs, and wait at the hotel lobby check-in line, behind all the guests checking into the hotel and dealing with room reservation issues. Why the waitresses aren't able to validate parking is baffling, especially when they aren't busy taking food orders. The view is beautiful and outdoor games and location is great, but unfortunately, that's where it ends. read more

It has a cozy, cabin feel to it. *GOOD: CLAMS: The Clams are delicious!! I would go here just for the clams. WINGS: Delicious, I would recommend. BRUSSELS SPROUTS: Yes, these roasted Brussels sprouts are delicious here! Get them to share with the table. YUM! LASAGNA: Large portion, this is large enough to feed two for sure. *DRINK: Gin - The Cleopatra - Gin, crème de violate vanilla & lemon. Its light & refreshing. *DESSERT: The last time I was there, I noticed that they got new fancy dessert options where you get a little hammer to crack open the chocolate shell to get to your dessert in the middle. Very classy and cute idea! *Customer Service: Every time I have gone here the customer service was top notch for me. Parking is definitely challenging. There is some street parking but there is a garage nearby that you can park at across from the Hyatt. The restaurant is on the other side of the hotel right along side of the water. Keep in mind on the weekends are very busy so parking will be packed and seating will be limited. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy, it is first come first serve, the out door seat is dog friendly. I agree with a number of people where the price for the food is overpriced for sushi being served in a gas station to go box and a teriyaki cardboard box. We ordered 3 items and it close to $70, that included the 20% service charge and on top of that $30 for 2 can, before tip and having to serve ourselves. This is a great place for the view and to go enjoy the lake on a nice day with a drink and your pet. But I wouldn't be going all the time. read more

How can you beat a water view, fresh air and a chance to feel like you're on vacation. All this is sitting in the Renton area next to the Boeing plant at the south end of Lake Washington. It's a bonus that it's connected to the Southport Hyatt Regency, another neighborhood gem. You pick up your drinks and order your food at the bar. The menu is limited to keep things simple. There's even nostalgic ice cream bars for those hot summer days or nights. This is a beautiful place to get a drink and light meal after work or on the weekend. Warning-park in the garage or valet. Perhaps it was just because it was our first time and there was a plethora of issues that piled up? Not worth the money for the drinks. One drink added up to be about $15-20 because of the added service fee. I get that the hospitality industry suffered the past few years, and I really don't like writing negative reviews, but this should come as a warning to others. Our server, who didn't speak great English, delivered our drinks and my friend had a concern with her drink. She wanted a "short" vodka with a splash of soda. We were delivered a tall. It's an easy fix in most places, but the server had ZERO idea what the issue was. She actually LEFT MID CONVERSATION to deliver somebody else's drinks and never came back. That's poor management because it's obviously poor training happening there. So after waiting some time to see if she'd return, we saw her chatting with another employee and obviously not coming back to help fix the issue. My friend walked herself over to the bar area and asked for a short - to which she had to explain FIVE TIMES. What the heck people?! The bartender didn't know what to do until another server came up and spoke privately with him. Another poor management issue with poor training and lack of qualifications. My own drink was spicy as HELL and had obviously been heavy on the spicy syrup. It wasn't like it was muddled jalapeño, just a syrup they mixed in. I tried drinking it and actually just couldn't get past the strength of the cinnamon and spice that was hitting me. Couldn't even taste the bourbon. So I flagged a server and asked for "just a little bit of soda water to be added" to help mitigate. They took my drink (which was strange), and then returned it with the same level of liquid. It was noticeably lighter. Yep, they DUMPED half my drink and filled it back up with soda!!! Sorry folks, I can't give a good review for the service or the bartender-ing. The only thing that my friend and I agreed we would come back for was the view. MAYBE we would order again and see what happens. There was ONE server who also appeared to be the manager of on floor servers and she was not happy. She helped my friend at the "bar" and we saw her redirecting staff and putting out fires quite a bit. The management needs to be aware that training of staff is going to be essential for a continued venture - IF they're looking for positive reviews. We ate here over the weekend and the food was not fresh at all to the point of making ppl sick. We got the "hand crafted sushi" and oysters. The sushi looked like it was purchased from a grocery store cooler (same packaging and even had a price tag on it) and the oysters were totally spoiled. I ate one and almost threw up immediately and another person spit theirs out (luckily). I got pretty sick that evening from eating it. 5 Star Venue with 5 star cost and No Service with paper plates This is a great location with great ambiance and atmosphere and totally stops there. The service model is far below the standard of the hotel. It's the equivalent of budget airline where you do not have any table service and they charge you 20% service charge yet never tell you on the receipt nor was I reminded verbally that there was a service fee despite the fact they never provided me a detailed receipt when I asked to sign out and they left "tip" wide open. The cost of two drinks each (three Coors lights) for three people and one meat and cheese appetizer on paper plates and plastic glasses not served by anyone but you had to walk up and order and if the system that took a QR code which didn't work for us was accepted and they might have dropped off - was $150. The location is a huge draw and everything else was disappointing including a non-discounted $20 valet fee with what calls for a $10 tip as the place should be drawing a different level of service and also draws a crowd who expects service for the fee. Completely disappointed by Hyatt it's not their normal for the brand and the location biz model has seemed to extend way beyond what COVID would warrant: This hotel, it's service model and high end experience was all 5 star prior to COVID and they haven't returned. This is a pretty fun place and the food is good. The Seattle Dog is amazing and quite big!! The only real negative that takes down the score is the ever increasing takeover by pet owners, many who bring multiple dogs that lay around everywhere and block customers and bark at anything. It's disgusting with all the ambiance of a kennel. Hopefully the place starts leaning towards being more accommodating to people instead of being "dog friendly" or it's just going to end up like so many other restaurants and beer gardens where humans take a back seat. read more
