My truck f150 Lightning, the supercharger broke. I purchase a new Kennie Bell 2.6 blower. Doc told me that he could handle the job. 5 weeks later he told me I was leaking oil from the timing chain cover. And he could not fix it. I had to rent a truck and trailer to take my truck to a tuner and mechanic in So. California, which cost me more money and time. Doc never returns phone calls, he will text you the last minute and excepts Zero responsibility. My new mechanic said there wasn't a leak on the timing chain cover, it was coming from the oil pressure sending unit. Doc talks a good game, but Doc doesn't have the skills to perform a good game. I think the shop Doc works at is probably one of the best spots to take your car for Vegas. He definitely knows his stuff, but if you have a Nissan and need it a tune... run away. I thought he was my only option and for a long time was. I recommend using Sean church from church automotive. He comes to Vegas every once in a while. I've paid $1100 to this shop for a mediocre tune across two engagements. Plus at least $100 bucks in Uber's. $400 in body work. Let break the price down. Brought the car for a tune to go from 100 octane tune to 91. I was gone for two weeks and figured it'll be plenty of time for them. I come back and they held it for a total of 5 weeks before I got it back. They ran into issues. Bad/corrupted ecu, bad plugs, and a learning curve. I was charged about 700 bucks. I expects to pay $500. 300 for tune 200 for plus for parts and labor. Well couple hundred bucks more is whatever. I get the car back. They placed a screw from the mass airflow sensor incorrectly when the swapped plugs. During normal use the engine reved and it started rubbing on my hood. Eventually it pushed a bump through the hood. $400 or so in damages. I bring it back because it was running super rich. That's expected imo. Car was down tuned on not a purely 91 tank of gas. I also expected the learning to throw things off a bit. I figured I'd have to bring it back for a touch up. I drop it off for a week and it turned into 9 days. Turns out that the tune had to be redone. Turns out that the shop doesn't know these cars too well. They charged me $350 for the touch up that was supposed to be 5 hours but turned into 9 days. Also they said they would address the hood, but they haven't fixed my hood at their shop which is probably the best shop for this type of work. Also because Doc has terrible customer service skills, doesn't answer calls, or text I needed to Uber to the shop for updates. I easily spent about$100 on Uber if not more. So I got to save my self some gas money with the initial tune. Second tune I got charged for, but that could be me having wrong expectations. I recently tried making things good. I told him he doesn't need to pay for my hood. Just give me my tune files back. It was a yes, but then he never got me my files. Made excuses and blames others and at no time took ownership. At this point I'm ready to burn this bridge. I'll never do work with Doc again. In either case I saw plenty of American cars and you probably can great tunes from that. However, if you got a Nissan run. Go to Sean church. He has access to a dyno and I know I'll be going to him as soon as I can. read more

They removed the speed limiter that was programmed on my 2016 Chevy and did a performance tune. Felt the change.

Although I don't think is Doc lowers cars on daily basis as a alignment shop does I decided to have him lower my SS Sedan since he provided me a good rate and overall seems to be a GM expert from our conversations. I am very impressed with the quality of work performed to lower my SS, no issues what so ever, looks much better without so much wheel gap and now has stiffer suspension. Talking with Doc for a bit its clear that he is a expert mechanic and think his shop can perform any custom services needed, another SS Sedan was at his shop getting headers installed and a tune while I was there which was cool to see sine its such a rare car, if I ever go that route with my SS tuning wise or engine modification wise will defiantly have Doc perform. read more

I had a check engine light show up on my 2007 corvette and an occasional rough idle. The car is supercharged and I wanted to take it somewhere that specifically deals with high performance sport tuned vehicles and not some run of the mill auto shop. I chose Doc's based on reviews. As soon as I showed up, the owner came out to see what I needed. I didn't have an appointment scheduled, but he still was able to take the time out to help me on the spot because of the quick nature of diagnosing my problem. He identified the problem and had me back on the road minus the engine light. He was able to adjust some fuel/oxygen parameters that were out of sink with each other. Doc was able to get my car ready for emissions, read the rest if you want to know my experience with Docs services. I contacted Doc August 22, 2019, looking for someone to tune my C6 with some driveability issues and get it ready for emissions, I told him I wanted to be involved in the process and he assured me communication wouldn't be an issue. Doc never once contacted me, every single time I wanted an update on what was going on I had to contact him and his story seemed to switch every time so I'm not even sure what work was done to my car, as I also did not receive any receipt for any of our transactions. First, I was told the O2 sensors were bad and he would swap them out and that the car would be ready to dyno Sept. 4th. Instead I didn't get any update, no word from him until I messaged him Sept. 6th, and now he tells me that the MAP sensor is bad and that the dyno session will be postponed until the following Monday/Tuesday. September 9th comes around, I have to again follow up with Doc, he tells me that we can finally meet at the dyno. Doc doesn't contact me until 7:30PM to meet him at the dyno, saying he "forgot to send me the address", and that I can still head down there as if I haven't been waiting for my car for over three weeks at this point. I head down to the dyno, located at 3855 E Patrick Ln. My car is already on the dyno, Doc tells me he already did the full pull without me present and that he won't do it again. I was left completely in the dark on what adjustments he made. Not sure who's dyno it was, but the whole situation was sketchy with how late we were there, and the dyno operator not wanting to disclose any information. Doc did a small pull while I was there and then starts to take the car off the dyno. I ask for a print out, and I get a sheet that is hardly even visible because the printer had no ink.. Supposedly the car made 460rwhp, but I doubt the print out is even from my car. After talking with Doc about how the car will need additional tuning, which he offered for free, after I get a charging issue sorted out, I paid him cash, get no receipt, get in my car to leave and immediately realize my drivability concerns were completely ignored as the car cranks for 5 seconds before starting, and bucks out of the parking lot. At this point I was just relieved to get my car back and happy that I would be able to register it as he did get all readiness monitors completed with no codes. Flash forward to Oct 30, I message Doc telling him I have sorted out the charging issues. no response. At this point I have now purchased my own MVPI2 and wideband so I can start to learn and see what has been done to my car. I message him again November 19th, telling him that I would like to just send him a log with wideband data showing how poorly the car is running and asking for help, he says sure send over the log and he'll take a look. I take a log and send it over Nov 20, doc doesn't respond. Follow up again Nov. 25, no response. Follow up again Dec. 2, no response. Followed up for a final time this Wednesday telling him I'm upset after being cool this whole time, no response. I no longer trust Doc with my vehicle. I bet this review will get a faster response time than any of my previous interactions with Doc. read more

I'm torn writing this review... Hands down the best tuner I've ever worked with; however, I'd like to keep Doc off the mainstream radar. I'd hate for him to get too busy that he can't slide me into his schedule so easily. I called him, told him what I was looking for and he got me right in. He was honest about what to tackle next and from my own research and limited mechanical knowledge; I knew he was spot on. This shop is a joke. It takes them way to long to do simple car mods. Two weeks for an oil catch can install and a whole month for a front mount intercooler install. I took my car into another shop for retro fitting headlights and was told that my passenger side headlight was an aftermarket. I told them that my car is brand new and hasn't been in any accidents. We came to the conclusion that Doc's either scratched or damaged the headlight without telling me. My mechanic also pointed out that Doc's did a real hack job on mounting my oil cooler to the Front Mount. Instead of paying attention to detail and mounting it, they used plastic rods that shoot through the oil cooler and Front Mount, permanently damaging the fins. A $400 oil cooler and $1,200 Front Mount ruined due to poor quality attention. Not worth my time and money taking my vehicle here. read more
