It's the kind of place i'd happily bring friends to and feel proud introducing them to. The staff were also wonderful. Our waitress, Liz, was especially helpful--she recommended my coffee, which was delicious, and checked in on us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a risk coming here for breakfast. Even at 9:30am on a Saturday morning, the wait for a table was an hour. Rather than wait, many ate at the counter. The customer ahead of me snagged the nearest two open seats. I grabbed an open spot at the far end, by the kitchen. Unlike rest of the counter, mine had the least surface area, partly due to a fruit serving bowl. Thirty minutes later, half the counter had cleared. As soon as I sat down, the bartender asked if I first checked with the hostess. After a short wait, she took my order. In addition to a flat white, I had ordered a Smoked Salmon Toast. Several minutes later, the manager informed me that they had ran out of smoked salmon. I hastily ordered the newest item, the Seasonal Scramble. After I received my flat white, I requested sweetener. The restaurant only offers raw sugar and stevia. After the bartender handed a few stevia packets, I asked for utensils. Unlike the other seats at the counter, mine had a menu but no utensils. The bartender handed me a fork and knife. Even though she just provided sweetener, she failed to provide a spoon. The manager did not notify everyone about the salmon. The bartender noticed the Seasonal Scramble was not what I ordered from her. The dish was a chore to eat. With the provided knife, the thin sourdough toast was tough to cut. The thinner the toast, the harder to cut. While not a fan of eggplant, the eggplant and tomato kasundi enhanced the flavor of the eggs. Some of the add-ons are questionable. The Smoked Salmon Toast includes smoked salmon and a poached egg. Adding the same to the Smashed Avo Toast would make it a significantly more expensive dish. The couple seated next to me ordered a coffee cake with their breakfast. They must have been regulars. The Seasonal Scramble left me still hungry; the halloumi add-on may have satiated me. Wow, we finally found a really great breakfast option in DFW! We've gone twice in the past week. Both times the service was fantastic and the food & coffee was amazing! The two waiters filling in for the hostess were not communicating. One waiter told us we were about to be seated and the other told us she never put us on the waitlist and it would be at least 15 more minutes to wait (and she was sassy!). Stopped by Two Hands in Dallas for brunch and I've already been twice within weeks of discovering it. The first visit I had a latte and the avocado toast. Second time I went with a different friend and we shared a few things: the Lemon Poppyseed Waffle (vanilla mascarpone cream, strawberries, bergamot maple syrup), the Smashed Avocado Toast, and the Crispy Chilli Fries with sesame chilli crunch and chives. I walked down to this location after my nail appointment I was looking for some breakfast. It is a quick two minute walk very conveniently located. The vibe inside is great and they have lovely outdoor seating as well. The staff was super friendly and told me they are usually booked two months out for brunch reservations. They said the best time to come to brunch without a reservation is between 8 and 9 AM or later in the afternoon after 2 PM. They serve brunch until 4 PM but they were super friendly and definitely made me want to come back and I will be back. My friend also ordered a side of eggs and bacon and when the food came out, we had to ask the server where it was as well. The food itself was pretty and delicious! The waffles were fluffy, with a nice touch of cream and syrup. I ordered my burger with jalapenos and it was a great burger as well. I made a reservation to come try out this new spot with some friends - I highly recommend making one since this spot is pretty popular, and also note that on the reservation confirmation email it says "Your table will be reserved for 90 minutes for parties up to 4 and 2 hours for larger parties". We felt a little rushed towards the end of our visit, so I would definitely keep this in mind since they seem to be trying to stick to that timetable (which is totally understandable since they're a popular, new spot that is attracting lots of people - just to be aware)! Depending on when you're coming, they have street parking or can validate for one of the local garages. The vibes are more casual, noise level was average (still able to have nice conversation without shouting), and service during the meal was a little hands-off. I ordered a flat white, harissa chicken bowl, and hash brown side - this was a great brunch meal and I would definitely come back again for the harissa chicken bowl (great flavor on the chicken, amazing sauce, and veggies prepped perfectly)! Next time I'd also love to try some of the cocktails and share the lemon poppyseed waffle since someone at the table next to us got one and it looked very yummy! Walked in for a little drink before a birthday and it was so peaceful and styled very cute. Audrey was amazing, helped us pick out some yummy drinks. I had a gin lavender lemonade that was really yummy and my husband tried this green vodka drink with like a hint of cucumber- he really liked it! I was counting down the days until I could check out Two Hands - I was thrilled they brought it into Dallas! My general sentiment is it was a disappointment for the hype and price, but still had some gems. The ambiance is gorgeous, really a perfect example of cultivating a space that feels modern, abstract, but still polished. I love the intentional use of colors and shapes. We did the tasting menu, so we each got our own 3 course meal. This isn't a super value by any means - depending on your choices, you could end up saving just a few bucks. I think it's more so there to help guide you through recommended dishes (though in my opinion, not all should be recommended). To start, we got the burrata and the brussels. The brussels sprouts were awesome - really one of the stars of this meal. They were cooked so well, crispy, easy to eat. The portion size was pretty generous. The burrata on the other hand was a let-down, and this is coming from a burrata lover. The complex dish includes peas for days and pickled zucchini, which doesn't sound terrible at first glance. But, those who order this will find out that the acidic flavor from the zucchini coats the cheese, making it sour and unpleasant. The pea fritters were like falafel, but with the sour flavors of a cheese that should be creamy and borderline sweet makes for a thumbs down dish. For our entrees, we got the pesto pasta and the peri peri chicken. The pesto was decent, I liked the breadcrumbs on top. It was very lemon-y if that's your thing. I thought the pasta was cooked well - al dente but not too tough. The chicken came out in a half bird style with a lot of bone. This makes for a difficult meal to eat while engaging in conversation. The chicken came with this actually horrific grain salad that was completely bland and inedible. When our server cleared our plates, she said "Isn't that the worst?"...okay...so why is it on the menu and why did she let us order it? Then there was dessert, another polarizing course. I ordered the pavlova and it was a DREAM! The perfect balance between fresh, light, sweet, and creamy. I loved it. My bf didn't know what to order and our server said they were known for the banana coffee bread, so he ordered it. It was so bad - incredibly dense but also hard, like it was just brought out of the freezer. You had to push the fork hard to even get a bite, and the bread was so dry. The coffee cream on top was overpowering. Just a seriously bad dessert and I am shocked it was recommended to us. The service was meh. They printed out our bill and put it on the table with the total being $0.00. We asked about it and they fixed it, but the restaurant was not busy (this was a Wed) and it just shows how careless they were. Overall, I won't be running to come back. I don't think a good restaurant is one that has 50% amazing dishes and 50% notably bad ones. PS. They are on the inKind network, so I would use that to save some money!! read more

I met with my friend and we ordered the brunch chicken bowls, which had a good amount of veggies and meat; just a colorful bowl of healthiness, tastefulness, and nutrients. For starters, Love the location. They do validate for parking as well. We sat outside because it was a sunny day, which got hot very fast because there's no fans blowing or any type of air circulating around the restaurant. I recommend you sit inside. I don't think they trained their servers well. While our server was very nice - she knew NOTHING about the menu. When I asked her what HER favorite items, she said, "well a lot of people get the burger." I said, "I'll just get the burger medium rare then" and she walked away. She came back 5 minutes later and said "we can't do medium rare because it's a smash burger." This is something she should have known considering this is such a popular item according to her. I was with 3 other people and our food took 45 minutes before we received it. The restaurant wasn't even busy so I have no clue what took our food so long. I would rate the burger 7/10. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito which doesn't come with any protein, you have to add it - and the only option is bacon for an additional $6 for 2 small slices inside. Burrito 6.5/10 One of our friends got the chicken sandwich, which is chicken salad with a mango chutney and some type of earthy green dish on the side. It wasn't good at all 2/10. The drinks were good, and so was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Would I return? No. But I'm glad we gave it a shot. See pictures below. This place is awesome. First went in Austin a few years ago and now able to go to the location in Dallas. The food was delicious and all the staff were great and extremely helpful. The one thing I would say is the chicken salad sandwich has changed since I got it a few years ago. The bread is now toasted and it seems about half the size it was four years ago in Austin. Still delicious, but I would prefer the slightly bigger sandwich and the soft freshly cut bread as opposed to the toasted version now. But either way all the food was great. read more
