Stopped here on an off chance and this is definitely a low end diner. It's run down, dirty looking with inattentive staff and sucky food. The coffee is horrible watered down, the butter wasn't even butter, it just looked like it. The potatoes tasted at least a day or two old. My husbands bacon was undercooked. Ordered an egg white omelet and got a greasy mess that didn't even have all the toppings asked for. Breakfast food is about as simple as it gets to cook so to screw that up makes no sense. Amazing love all the Benedict's. I get the original with home fries. The hollandaise sauce is sooooo good although the last time I went it tasted different. Hopefully it was just me because the sauce really makes the dish and is amazing. My husband gets the Benedict that comes with sausage and covered in gravy and it's really delicious too and I usually don't do gravy. I've been coming here for years but will not return after today. Right in front of the customers the waitresses were talking badly about and making fun of a younger waitress. Then the the owner showed up yelled, threatened and physically pushed the young waitress. Been about three years since my last visit, which was breakfast on the way to the airport. Food remains top-notch and is reasonably priced. Had sausage and cheese omelet with grits and wheat toast. Breakfast was super packed on Sunday, had to get on the list and wait about 20 minutes for a table, but whatever, it was worth it. The food was great and the service was friendly. Okay I haven't been here in 3 years. Won't be back! Ordered large orange juice $2.49 and biscuits and gravy $5.79. Total $8.86 remember this number. So after I received my food the first thing I noticed was the gravy was luke warm/cold. I was hungry and in a hurry so I just ate it. The table next to me was adding up their check and noticed the waitress overcharged them. They pointed it out to the cashier and the waitress had tagged on 2 drinks to the check when they had only water. I decided to calculate my check and it was wrong too $10.76 !!! By almost $2.00! Seriously? Cold gravy and terrible addition skills? I wonder how many thousands of dollars they have overcharged people and never noticed. I suggest eating elsewhere. This is really more of a 3.5 than 3. I am obsessed with eating breakfast out. We always see this place packed so we decided to try it. The dining room is quite small but clean. The staff is very friendly. The coffee was not good. Weak and it was too expensive for what it was at $2.50. The food is about average diner food. The southwest omelet was good, except the salsa was jarred sale and lukewarm. Also, the potatoes were a little soggy. This is an about average breakfast place. The prices are a bit high if you want anything more than the entree. If you're in the mood for some breakfast and don't want to go to a chain, try this place out. read more

I really don't see what the hype is all about. This place is your typical out of date diner. Nothing in the place looks new. As a matter of fact it all looks pretty dingy. I ordered a club sandwich which wasn't bad but pretty small. It did come with a side salad. The lettuce and tomatoes were not fresh and the French dressing was clumpy. I wouldn't even eat it and it made me apprehensive to even eat the sandwich. The staff was nice enough, especially the cook Mike. He came out and greeted my friend who apparently is a regular. If you don't mind extremely cheap ingredients pre-made or from a box like powdered hollandaise, then this is the place for you. Bacon made like 4 to 6 hours before we came in and then thrown in the fryer to make it "crisp". The coffee...meh! The biscuits and gravy....meh! If their goal is to serve the cheapest, processed, and lowest standard of food to save money and just fill seats, they certainly met that goal. If this were the last place on earth to get breakfast, it would be the ONLY reason I would EVER go back. Do yourself a favor and pass in this. Doe Doe's serves an awesome breakfast! Everyone in our group of 4 each had the farmer's omelette. We also all split an order of pancakes (huge!) and French toast. The people here are very nice. The place is clean and fairly big. Orders come out fast and staff is attentive throughout your meal. The pancakes are plate size. The big but here is the quality of the food. The pancakes were tasteless and the sugar free syrup was awful. My scrambled eggs with cheese arrived with 2 slabs of unmelted processed cheese sitting on top. Although the eggs were hot the cheese never melted past the point of being a big blob. Talk about a local joint! This place is great -- daily diner specials, only open from 6-2 so get there early. I love these kinds of restaraunts that only serve what they cook until it is gone. The bacon, for the record, is thick cut and very tasty (particularly for a diner). Warning!! If you expect REALLY personal service you need to be a regular. Other than that, this place is slamming busy, so you are grateful for your always full coffee cup and fresh tasty food. Not that the staff aren't great, they are all hands on deck and very busy. Hilariously bad. I was excited to take my family here after reading the reviews and won't waste anyone's time coming back. How does this place have so many good reviews?!! We were swatting away flies from the moment we were seated until we left. The food was subpar, like a complimentary hotel breakfast. Our toast was burnt, the paper-thin (likely microwaved) bacon was rubbery and greasy, my scrambled eggs were watery and tasteless (wtf, it's not hard to make decent scrambled eggs), and the food gave my family member a stomach ache and indigestion. Oh! And found a dead gnat in my fruit cup :/ That being said, the service was fast and friendly. Next time, we're sticking with Kenny's Korner in Redington beach. read more
