We brought him to The Dog Wash for the self service wash today and honestly had so much fun! The owners are so sweet and helpful, and Auburn did such an amazing job cutting our anxious dog's nails. They provide everything from soaps to scrubbers to aprons to towels, even lifting help if you have a big guy like we do. The stations are super clean and well stocked. They even gave him a cute bandana on our way out! And at $10 for a wash and $5 for a nail trim, it was a steal! This will definitely be our go to spot next time Mackie needs a spa day :)

A few minutes after leaving I did a little research and found that these are available elsewhere and that a prescription is not required. I can get the same exact items elsewhere for HALF the price. I totally understand that markups are to be expected but at 100%?!?! I called immediately and was told that I could not come back for a refund and that I would have to wait for the office manager to call me. She never called me back and I was finally able to get in contact with her after 3 attempts. In the end she told me that company policy is that they would NOT take them back nor provide any sort of refund. In my opinion the word "prescription" means that you can't get it over the counter and only through a veterinarian. I should have been given the option so that I could do some research beforehand to determine where I would make my purchase. I fully support local businesses and I did try and do the right thing and reach out to the business for resolution but there was no compassion nor willingness to compromise. I am only providing this information so that others can ask the appropriate questions and make the right decision for them.

We thought all was well, the owner John Quinn assured us the dog would be removed permanently, but that wasn't true. My girl experienced trauma from the attack and I didn't want a reoccurrence so we had to withdraw her from attending. We just recently tried to take her to another facility, but unbeknownst to us she was removed from the system. Now the process has to start from scratch because the facility manager at Plainfield will not communicate with another facility to validate my girl. I don't want to speak ill of the situation, but my rating speaks for itself. My girl deserved better!

We had them watch our babies a few days while we went to Lake Geneva for the weekend. They came four times a day. They played, feed, and checked on the chicks. They provided text messages with a detailed list of things they did and included photos. We used them again two weeks ago for 24 hour service (are babies are our babies, no kids) so I (the man of the house) was nervous for a 9 day vacation.
