Great stop at the Dog Haus. I can see the potential though for when the weather is nicer - they have huge garage doors to open to a patio with even more chairs, tables, and games. You can either order with someone or on a tablet. For a hot dog place though, I'm surprised they don't just have a plain hot dog or brat available. Everything is "dressed up" as it were. That being said, I got The Fonz - an Italian sausage with mozzarella and pastrami. Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?! Delicious! I ordered a side of tots and really got a good bang for my buck there. My only gripe is that they don't post prices for drinks. I only noticed on my way out that they had a board with some of the beers listed. Would've been nice to have that available when ordering. We were there for a baseball tournament. I had the impossible brat & my son had the bacon cheeseburger and we split sweet potato fries. The food was really good. Today I went to the dog haus for lunch. You have the option to either pay at a kiosk by using a credit card or debit card or paying at a cash register. I had cash so I was paying at the cash register. I placed my order and it was $40.21.I gave her $41, expecting .79 change. She proceeds to tell me that they no longer do change and shut the cash register drawer. She did not offer me my dollar back and they owed me $.79 I never got that $.79 that I was going to put in the tip jar, but obviously they didn't get a tip after that. Then we waited 20 minutes for our lunch, mind you there were only three people in there when we arrived. We received our hot chick sandwiches, which were not hot. No spice to them at all, and it was no longer a large sandwich with Hawaiian rolls as the bun. It was a tiny sandwich on a completely different bun than we usually get. The entire experience was terrible today and I do hope that they go back to the old food and that they offer change back to customers who clearly deserve change. Do better Dog Haus. read more

Very unique experience, you walk into a very large and expensive bar with lots of taps tons of Unique house drinks as well as some staples. You can order at the counter or order on the kiosk. They have a pretty good amount of stuff to choose from. Several different types of burgers, and as the name would assume quite a few different kinds of hot dogs. The hot dogs were nothing super special just overpriced. In my opinion loaded up with a little bit of toppings. They could've used like some better grilling, instead of it just seemed like the hots were steamed. So you didn't get that grilled taste like you'd expect from a place that does only hotdog. Their menu says they're known for their corn dogs that are supposed to be root beer flavored, tried one. It was pretty good, but couldn't really taste the root beer unfortunately. The restaurant butts up to a large expensive patio with lots of seating if you wanted to grab a beer and head outside if it's warm enough. Overall, a cool establishment. But for the price of the food, probably not for me. $10 for a hotdog dog is a little crazy. Was a bit over hyped on a post I saw on social media which was the reason for my visit mainly, but overall it was ok. The kiosk was nice too, but I think it is a tool best used when needed. Nice bar- has a sit down yet fast food service type place. Solid beer selection on draft. Ironically, the 4 of us went with smashburgers and everyone cleaned their plate. Very good burgers! The cheese fries for a side were meh- problem was the cheese sauce itself cant sit long so if you order eat them first. The chili cheese fries were good- solid flavor on the chilli. The holy aioli burger was dynomite. Came back the next day for a night cap. Nice little gem. Only comment would be clean the finger prints off the tvs above the bar. Kinda tacky. Purported to be a sports bar, we decided to try this place to watch one of the biggest NCAA BB games of the year...only to find the staff could not operate the TVs and claimed they did not have access to ESPN. For some reason, they can only broadcast one show on all the TVs. The food was ok, but way overpriced and luke warm. Don't try to get the "bowl" version of a dish. Came in with my two kids and spent about $58, including a 20% tip. Halfway through eating, both of my kids had to use the restroom. We were gone maybe 10 minutes. When we came back, our entire table had been cleared -- plates, food, everything -- even though we were clearly still dining. When I asked the bartender what happened, there was zero apology or concern. Just a blunt "you were gone for ten minutes." No effort to fix it, no customer service at all. We come out here from Chicago every week for ski lessons and usually stop here, but after this experience, we won't be coming back. First off, the food was amazing! The kids working were very nice and friendly and even tried offering suggestions when I asked because I had never been there before. But while eating inside the establishment, I began to question the cleanliness of the kitchen as I noticed dirty fingerprints on EVERYTHING! It started with the glass windows... fingerprints everywhere. That's the first thing I see when I look around places I'm eating at, if they take time to wipe dirty, greasy fingerprints off of surfaces. Then I noticed the many dirty fingerprints on the part of the table above the table-top, the partition or whatever it was called. I was so grossed out that it was clear surfaces weren't being wiped down. I felt like anything I touched was weeks of sticky grime from a kid(s) with dirty hands touching everything. We also had to make sure our table was clean before we sat down. Of course I was only looking for a clean tabletop at the time without realizing how dirty everything else was. There were about 5 tables visibly dirty and needed to be wiped down. As I was eating, I also noticed someone in the kitchen eating in clear view every time the door opened to the kitchen. I'm not sure if this is a separate part away from prep or cooking areas, but I hope it was. I'm honestly not sure I'd eat there again... but if I do, I hope I can walk in and notice there was a change in making sure the public areas are visibly clean and wiped down. read more

My husband has been wanting to try this out and if you ever been out late on MU campus it's most likely you've been to a dog haus! But this one is different! Sitting next to an our door covered beer garden, Dog Haus has great options of dogs, burgers and sides. It's pretty spacious in there with a long bar going down the entire restaurant. It's order at the counter and grab a number type of place. I like these when we have our kids with us. It's easy for one person to order and carry on. Our dogs were great. I like how the bin tasted but the pull apart for a dog wasn't my favorite innovative dog bun. But it did make me want to try the sliders next time because they were delicious but made for a slider! We got sweet potato fries. We love sweet potato fries and these were exceptionally good! I will def get them again! I could see visiting the beer garden next door with Dog haus wide variety of beers. Would be a good place rain or shine. Still enjoyable! I'm going to bring my mom here when she visits next. I've been to Dog Haus multiple times since they opened a couple of months ago, both with my family and by myself. Among the things I/we've tried are a hot dog, corn dog, sausage, burger, chicken strips, fries, and a breakfast burrito. The hot dog itself is good quality and something I'd recommend. There are a bunch of different options for toppings and it's the same hot dog they use inside the corn dog, so it can be enjoyed many ways. The sausage was their corned beef and cabbage special for St. Patrick's Day. I haven't tried a regular sausage yet, but I liked the special one and look forward to getting a regular sausage at some point. The burger is ok. They use King's Hawaiian buns for their sliders and leave a square of four connected together to use as a regular size burger bun. I thought the sliders we had were seasoned, but the burger for sure wasn't, so the sweetness of the bun wasn't balanced out by salty seasoning on the burger. The chicken strips are just ok as well. They're decent size, but the breading lacks flavor outside of pepper. At least the breading is crispy. The fries are good, but based on multiple visits, they can either be perfectly seasoned with seasoning salt or seasoned too much. We haven't tried the tater tots yet, but will next time. The breakfast burrito. Oh my. I love a good breakfast burrito and this is one of the better ones around. The best part is you can get it any time of the day. If they were closer to where I live I might have a money problem with how often I'd be stopping for one. At least I can have it before Milkmen games when baseball season begins nextdoor. read more

Walked back inside and told them and they were like we don't have any hot dogs....... Okkk ordered a kabasa corn dog and my wife had me try because she couldn't eat it. This place was great!! Now be prepared, it's not the type of place I'd take my family for a casual dinner...this is a place to hang with friends, eat some solid grub and chill for a few hours! Covered area with Corn Hole is a great touch! Had the Bad Motha Clucka (awesome) and the sliders...legit. Everything is out on Hawaiian Rolls, so it you can imagine how great the food is. We were in town for a ball tourney, took the team there and it fit the bill perfectly! Highly recommend if you find yourself in the same scenario!! First off - great, friendly service and a clean, open space. Ambiance is a bit corporate feeling, but that's a nitpick. Lots of commenters on here have mentioned the cost. We only did food, so I can't speak to the bar, but for the price, the breakfast burrito was huge. Kids chicken tenders were also good deal and tasted great. Burgers were a bit soggy but the taste was great so it was worth using a fork and or lots of napkins. All the food would benefit from a but more green: arugula on the burger or spinach in the breakfast burritos, etc, but then that's going to increase the price more, so I get where they are coming from. My husband and I went on opening day and were underwhelmed. Walking in the door, you're immediately greeted by the desk where you order and the line of people who are also ordering aka, too chaotic for me. There is nothing worse than standing there while people are trying to move past you constantly as you do have to pass that same area to get to the bathrooms. The food is what I was mainly excited about because who doesn't love Hawaiian rolls? Unfortunately I ended up having to eat my chicken sandwich with a knife and fork mainly because the Hawaiian rolls literally disappear and just fall apart while eating. My favorite menu item was the corn dog- it was delicious. It is nice to be able to eat something battered and fried that IS NOT beer battered for once! It was unique and I loved it. This is definitely a place you stop for a quick bite rather than getting comfortable. I recommend looking up the menu before hand to avoid chaos at the front. From the exterior looks I was expecting an upscale restaurant. From the menu though what I got was something else. What Dog Haus is can be summarized like this. If you think paying $24.77 for a brat, a side of slaw and a beer is a little much, you found your place. The menu featured dogs, brats, chicken and burgers. A wide variety of beer, cocktails and a limited wine selection was available as well. You order upon entering are provided a number and the food is brought to you. So I saw an ad for this place on TV while at work. Decided to check it out. It really wasn't what I had in my mind at all. It is a very new, modern building right by the sports complex in Franklin. You order at the front counter. They give you a number and bring your food out to you. I ordered Das Brat (with everything), fries and a soda and it was $18 something. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. My food arrived to my table very quickly within a few minutes. There is a self serve soda station. There are wood booths, low top tables and high top tables available for seating. There are also quite a few seats at the bar. They have a wide selection of beers with quite a few on tap! (I counted 26 taps, but I may be off a bit). There also is an outdoor patio that looks like it will be a very nice setup once the weather turns warm again. The doors facing the patio look like they can open out onto the patio as well. My food was all very tasty. The brat had great flavor and was very juicy! I think this would be an excellent spot to meet up with friends after work. There are several decent size tv's too. So as I said, I was expecting a different kind of place, but was very pleasantly surprised! I definitely recommend trying this place out and bring a few friends along as well! read more

Was there on a Saturday night with my wife. Service and food was top notch. Very good selection on everything. Look like a nice place in the summer when they can open the side doors and sit outside. We ordered 4 beers, three dogs (one to go) and a side. Total with tip was over $90!!! Food is reasonably (little on the high side but not outrageous) priced, but beers are $9 each!!!! Very expensive. Made a trip to The Dog Haus for lunch. A new place with a sleek look right next to Franklin Field in the Ballpark Commons at The Rock spots complex. When we entered we were greeted by Chuck who helped us navigate the menu, made suggestions, and took our order. He did a great job. We chose a double cheeseburger, "Chili the kid" chili dog, a couple of sliders, and some tots and onion rings. All the food was very good except the tots. Which were average at best and lacked some necessary salt. All of the sandwiches come on Hawaiian dinner rolls which was unique but could not hold up to the girth of the double cheeseburger. I was happy to finish it with a knife and fork. I should have listened to Chuck who suggested cutting the burger into 4 individual burgers. The onion rings were exceptionally good. We had to order a second order. As we're the sliders. The chili dog and double cheeseburger were both delicious. Lots of beers on tap along with self serve Coke products including Coke Zero Sugar!!! My favorite which earned them the fifth star on this review. Street and lot parking available. Right next to Lux Golf for anyone who wants to whack some balls and get a bite to eat. It's a hot dog place so I definitely recommend one of the haüs dogs. I got the cowboy which was good, probably would have been better if it was hot. I picked it up on time and live less than 10 minutes away. I would actually suggest dining in so it doesn't get cold. Plus it looked like their was a large beer/drink selection that would be good to try. The fries were just ok. Could use more seasoning, maybe some salt. I hope they get a better cheese sauce in the future, I paid the extra for cheese and wish I didn't. And I'm a cheese fries gal. Also wish I skipped the ranch. 75¢ each for half full 2oz cups and it tasted quite off. Just do a regular buttermilk ranch. Overall I gave 4 stars because the hot dog was great, enjoy they have beef as an option instead of pork and the hawaiian rolls as buns. What an awful, overpriced experience! Double gin and tonic cost $14.77, small glass and way too strong. My 12.00 drink took 15 minutes to get and it was basically a small cup of ice with a bit of liquid! Now to the food. I don't mind paying $12 for a hamburger but for that price they should be good and not a sweet, soggy mess. Someone decided it was a good idea to use 4 Hawiian rolls for a burger bun. First, it is too sweet of a roll for a burger and secondly it does not hold up to the ailoi sauce and fried onion on the burger - a slippery mess. Also, no sides come with the burger. What?
