I have found my new favorite restaurant. As a vegetarian, I almost didn't even check the menu to see if I could get anything... but boy, was I wrong to assume! They have a plant-based section that is easily customizable so I feel like I could have a different burger or sausage every time. I had the Sooo Veggie sausage and the Impossible Burger (pictured) and they were absolutely delicious. My husband isn't vegetarian and he loved his Huli-Huli sausage and The Freiburger. We arrived as was append to be right before closing which we were unaware of, we were making our decisions on what to order the lady than said can I help you decide, we stated no thank you she than told us we were on a timer. So in other words we touched someone else's food. We took it back in and told the workers what happened. They didn't care. They said "did you actually touch the food"? We said no but we touched the boxes and opened the chili bowl. They didn't care. So to crystal who ordered food today, we prob touched it and told the workers that we did touch it. I usually love this spot but today's service was absolutely awful. My family tried to order multiple orders 1.5hrs before closing. Not only was the lady rude over the phone, saying they don't take "catering" but when they went in person and tried to order in a smaller amount, the lady who claimed to be manager (Emily is the name she gave) came out and started yelling at my sister's husband about not being able to make the burgers. Even though they had already taken half the order. She was extremely rude and refused because they were short staffed. Oh yeah, Dog Haus is the perfect place to go if you're in the mood for chili and fried goodness. I had the corn dog which is a beef hot dog dipped in a root beer batter that is super light and airy and creates a very crispy exterior. You can get whatever type of dog you want too (veggie, chicken, etc). I paired it with a side of onion rings which were fried to perfection and went perfectly with ketchup. My husband had the Downtowner which was a bacon wrapped deep fried hot dog served on a sweet Hawaiian roll and topped with pickles, mustard, ketchup and more. He had a side of chili cheese tater tots which were AWESOME! Did I mention the chili is delicious? It's a smooth chili, not chunky whatsoever, seasoned well and goes great with crispy tater tots and melts in your mouth with the cheese sauce. Fantastic meal here last night. Everything we ordered was top notch. I inhaled the Lil Mule burger in about 3 bites -- perfectly cooked patty with the fried egg, jalapenos and hawaiian bread bun made a fantastic combo. Das Brat also was excellent, as were the corn dogs, sliders and tots that the kids ordered up. Nice back patio (but a bit loud from Arapahoe Rd) with socially distant tables, and friendly to families with dogs. Will be back to try everything else! read more

I really like the idea of this place and the combos, but man are they hard to eat! It is almost a knife and fork place, or just know your are going to get messy. I went with the Old Town Dog, which was a smoked bacon wrapped dog (great flavor and snap), pickled jalapeños, chipotle aioli,caramelized onions (way way way too many of these, it downed out the flavor until I took half off) and cotija cheese. Once I took a bunch off, it was great, but man it was amost too overstuffed - I can't unhinge my jaw to eat so it was hard maneuver. I went with tater tots on the side and they were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. I would definitely go again and maybe build my own. read more

What a hidden gem. Found Dog Haus while looking for a place with breakfast burritos. Finally decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint. Decided to try the Haus breakfast burrito and added avocado. When ordering I was given the option of how I wanted my eggs cooked. Sunny side up is where it's at. My coworker and I spotted this place a week or so ago and tried to go inside for lunch. Unfortunately at that time they were doing this soft opening for family and friends so we couldn't partake quite yet. We stayed patient and I went back today now that it's open to the public. I really enjoyed the Dog Haus. Right away the people greet you very warmly and polite and give you their opinions on what you may like to try. Very good customer service! The set up is very much like that of Smashburger, etc. I liked the decor of the place too. I dont even know how to describe it! I ordered a hot dog, fries and a drink for about $8. Did the whole "make your own dog" thing and it was very yummy. The dogs are big in size and very flavorful. I also liked their buns that was semi-toasted. I'm not a big fan of toasted buns b/c they always end up hurting my mouth, but this was the right kinda toasted! The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars was the fries..I'm a big french fries person and these ones could use a little more crispiness is all. The bread worked really well for the sandwiches and hot dogs. I ordered the Cordon Bleu 2.0. IT was some sort of blue cheese sriracha type of burger. Good - but not really spicy (which you would expect from sriracha burgers). The fries were good. One small annoyance (not enough to nock down to 3 stars) was that we didn't notice the combo meals. They didn't mention it. I had ordered a beer but some places will give you the combo discount on an upgrade. This place didn't. That wasn't cool. Dog Haus was a great, quick lunch spot! We tried a little of everything. A Huli-Huli, a T-Mex, some sliders and some tater tots. Everything was as described and tasted delicious. Plus, my modifications were easily handled without any mistakes along the way. I think next time I will actually try a regular sized burger because the slider was that good. They had a couple of Blue Sky fountain drinks which was a first for me. I tried the caffeine free root beer and it was really good too. The sausages had a great texture. The toasted Hawaiian buns were surprisingly perfectly suited to everything. The combination of toppings was fun, creative and so yummy.
