I absolutely love this place. They provide bratwursts, smash burgers, breakfast burritos, fries, corn dogs and a lot of other things. Everything is on Hawaiin rolls which is GENIUS! It's a mixture of sweet and savory and is an explosion of flavors. It's so BOMB! Service was phenomenal, food came out quickly and seating was fine. They also had the football game on inside and outside which was really nice too. I got the holy aioli which is super good, savory aioli sauce with caramelized onions on a Hawaiian roll. The food took quite a while to come out, which is no big deal if they were cooked properly. The wings were so badly burnt that they were almost black and the outside layer of the meat was hard and charred. The flavor was good and the quality of the ingredient was good, sadly no quality control with the cooking. The sliders were also not cooked right, the paddy was so overcooked that it was super dry and lost its flavor. The brat however was extremely undercooked and was a bit chewy, and lost its flavors. Today's visit 100% made up for a previous lackluster visit, and I am so happy we stopped in! Our last visit was several months ago and all the indoor seating was reserved for a private party or something. Today we returned and had a much better time! I ordered the Sooo Cali with the aioli on the side since I wasn't sure how spicy it would be and I can be a bit sensitive to spicy food. My husband ordered the Chili The Kid, which is a favorite of mine. We struggled at first to find something for our daughter as she wanted a hot dog but we only saw sliders, corn dogs, and chicken tenders for the kids meals. As it turns out, one of the sliders is a hit dog slider! The woman working at the front counter was so kind and patient and helped us with our questions. She also took our order at the register when the ordering tablet didn't have an option for sauces on the side. The food was delicious! I love the light crispy toastiness of the buns. Hotdogs are served on toasted hawaiian rolls, unless you order them another way. The hawaiian rolls are perfect! The basil aioli wasn't really spicy at all so it was the perfect brightness to add more flavor to my meal. Daughter loved her tiny cheeseburger and tiny hot dog (the kids meal has 2 sliders of your choice and that's what she picked). After we were finished eating, we had her go to the counter to ask for a couple boxes. She's almost 5 so she braved it and got some boxes. The lady who had taken our order was so charmed by her thay she offered a free tiny ice cream! That was really sweet of her, and daughter was super excited. I've have visited this location several times, and I must state, that I'm done. I love the brand and concept. However, this location is killing the brand. I've experienced past issues with poor quality, and horrible processing times. This will be my official last time ever trying to give this location, my hard earned money. Last month, I ordered a BYO = Build Your Own Dog. Honestly, one simple dog with chili, mayo and relish. I was quoted an online ready time of 10 minutes. Let's be honest, not at all complicated, and a simple dog to complete and make a regular customer satisfied. 37 minutes later, and I finally receive the worst hot dog of my lifetime! As it turns out, this location was undergoing a much deserved inspection by the County Board of Health. Their Inspector found that the chili they were serving was not fit for human consumption! The Inspector actually made then throw it out! I should have walked away. 10 minutes go by, and my one single dog is handed to me 47 minutes after my initial order! You won't believe this, when I tell you, that the CHILI WAS ACTUALLY ICE COLD!!!!! So absolutely disgusting! I returned it to the male employee, didn't offer a fair resolution. He just explained that the County Inspector was to blame for my dissatisfaction. Lastly, I wrote a formal complaint to Dog Haus, one month ago, and they never responded! Apparently Dog Haus (or specifically Dog Haus Chino Hills) doesn't feel the need to honor their customers' mobile orders. I used the Dog Haus mobile app to place an order for items that seemed to be listed at a promotional price. I received an order confirmation email, so about 90 minutes later at the specified pickup time, I drove 20 miles to get my food. At the restaurant, both the cashier and manager refused have my order made unless I paid the full price. They didn't care that I had a confirmation receipt from Dog Haus - essentially refusing to uphold the customer contract (the confirmed order). When any other company would make things right (and many even go above and beyond), it seems like Dog Haus doesn't care much to do right by the customer. read more

Worker seemed annoyed that I even asked how big is "the love boat" (side item), then she was digging around under the countertop for the trays... They ask for our name to pick up the food at the counter, even though there's a ton of numbers on the counter for dine-in purposes. What if I sat on the outside tables?? That doesn't make sense. Are they lazy or too busy to bring it to someone's table? When we walked in she was making food then went to the register. After she was done, (paid with card) she went back to doing that without switching gloves. While waiting for our food, she made a milkshake and then touched someone else's credit card. She didn't change her gloves at all...even after handling a few customers cards/cash. They don't take Apple Pay. Also saw her use her hands with the dirty gloves that handled cash/cards. To put tater tots in a bag, as well as pick up a tots that she spilled from the floor...when she was pouring the basket...with the same gloves. It also took over 25 minutes for tots and 2 hot dogs. Everything is extremely salty. And the hot dogs itself were lukewarm/cold. The buns were toasted but somewhat soggy still with the bottoms basically burnt. The only thing that was good was the tots itself without anything on it, but somehow they're slightly salty too? The tots came out hot but the chili was salty and seemed like a glob of brown stuff, tasted canned and basic cheese, too salty overall. Also, a man and woman kept walking in and out behind the register and through the kitchen. I assume they're the owners? The woman was digging around at the front counter. Initially, I found the roll buns superfluous. How do I hold a hot dog bun that's actually three separate bun? Won't my toppings fall off? Then I noticed the plastic knife and realized I could create 3 mini-dogs and felt a bit silly. Certainly, this doesn't look like the Sunday backyard hot dog. However, the experimentation with toppings, similar to that of gourmet burgers, makes for novel flavors. I stopped by Dog Haus last week on a Sunday afternoon after visiting the kids in nearby Chino. I ordered the Old Town dog and some Tater Tots to go. I decided on the Old Town because I wanted something with a bit of a kick, and I figured the pickled Jalapenos would provide that. The staff were really friendly and prepped my order in short order. It was a warm day and I really appreciated the coolness of their AC that kept is very comfortable inside. It was about a 15 minute drive home, and I built up a bit of hunger by then. The Tots were still warm and crispy, a little ketchup and they were ready to devour. When I unboxed the Old Town dog, it was almost too pretty to bite into to. But I was hungry, so admiring it was short and I dived in. It was still warm, the King's Hawaiian roll was lightly toasted and oh so fresh, the dog had a great 'snap' and the flavors really came together nicely. I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed this dog experience. It was really sad when that it went down so quickly. This review is only for the Anthony Sasso Tot Dog. The Anthony Sasso's Tot Dog comes with extra crispy "tater tots." It seemed to me it was just pieces of fried batter. I didn't get it; there was no potato taste or actual potato. It actually made me nauseous chewing them. The hot dog itself was fine, but since I had to take the "tater tots" off, I spent too much for a hot dog. Regarding the staff, the counter worker was friendly, professional, and offered suggestions. I was pretty excited to see a Dog Haus location much closer to my home since I used to go to the Pasadena location. I've tried the majority of the food and all are great. My favorite sides are the onion rings and the chili cheese tots. Their chicken sandwich (bad mutha clucka) is great; the chicken is juicy and it comes out hot. I usually have to half it with my brother when I get it. I've tried all their burger and hot dogs at least once and some of my favorites to get are the Holy Aioli burger which is with caramelized onions, garlic aioli, bacon, and white cheese and Das Brat which is a bratwurst sausage with sauerkraut, spicy brown mustard, and caramelized onions. The bread that they use is King's hawaiian bread which is sweeter than the usual hot dog bun bread but I like it. The chili bowl is a bit too oily for me and I'm not a fan of their coleslaw. They also have a burger and sausages with the Impossible burger plant-based substitute, never tried their version though. They do have a happy hour and sell craft beers that changes monthly. The place is smaller than the Claremont and Victoria Garden locations; the staff is friendly. The place is clean. I did learn that Happy Hour only applies for dining in which I was not aware of but that's okay.
