This place has some of the best food I've ever had. The fish and chips was THE BEST fish I've had in my life! And my mom had a burger with an actually good gluten free bun. I got an amazing root beer handmade by a local brewery, and oh my lord, that was good. Dad got a pretty good cold beer, and we all did cheers together With my family, and our allergies, it can be hard to eat out sometimes, but this place was SUPER accomodating. Carter, our server, was amazing. He remembered everything, was very sociable, had a really fun sense of humor. Very nice and funny dude. Definitely deserves his promotion [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside, and just the happenings of the lovely corner was super relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dog friendly, so a bunch of cute puppies were around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And their chairs look kinda like roots, so that was cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All in all, 10/10.

What a fun place to hang out and eat! There is outdoor seating, lots of space inside and a fun bar atmosphere. We weren't super hungry, so we each grabbed a beer. I got a caiseal peach apricot ale and hubby got a good luck stout nitro. I was given a sample first and loved it! The Reuben croquettes were excellent! The filling was so flavorful and the outside was fried to perfection. The dipping sauce made it all even better! The Welsh rarebit was something I thought was meat, but when I saw the table next to me get it, I knew I had to try it. Sourdough bread w/ cheese and sauce. So freaking good and a hearty serving. Everyone in the restaurant looked so happy and with good reason. Be sure to stop in if you are in the Williamsburg area and check it out for yourself.

Had a good experience at Dog Street Pub. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio was perfect -- very relaxing atmosphere and a great place to unwind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly, and we came specifically to try the cocktails and beer selection which definitely did not disappoint. They have a really great variety of beers to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio was so mellow and great for the atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We got a table right away. It was downstairs, and Sean was our wait staff. He brought a bottle of water while we perused the menus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was as cozy downstairs as upstairs, with wooden tables and chairs and flat screen TVs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Husband ordered the wedge salad and I had the chicken salad wrap with chips. Both of us thought the food was very good, as was the service!

Rating this place a 4.5 stars! The food was great! Staff was so nice and knowledgeable for us first timers! There are lots of options that sound great here and we had a hard time deciding what to order! Which is a good problem to have! We got the chili to start and it was great. The crackers are super good with it. We also got the pork shank and mashed potatoes, which was fantastic! We do wish the drinks had free refills, that's the only downside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A great spot in a great location! Nice and cozy inside too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good vibes so far: will edit once my food arrives.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm getting corn beef brisket sandwich with chips. (Will update when I get my food.) Edit: looks great! Also very fast service for there being lots of people.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nicely decorated and comfortable inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bartender was great - really friendly and made a good cocktail. Food was hit or miss on a limited sample size/one time experience. Reuben croquettes were awesome - highly recommend. But the chilli was totally flavorless - literally tasted unseasoned and super bland. I'd give the place another try if I was back in the area.

Great location in the historic Williamsburg area! This was my first time visiting and I ordered the warm honey ham and cheddar sandwich w/ fries. The sandwich was huge and could definitely been split into 2 meals. Regardless, it was delicious and very filling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was pretty full for a Monday at 2pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would recommend if you find yourself in the area and looking for a hearty lunch.

I was surprised by this establishment. It was a nice evening so we got a table outside, which was very nice. They did put pork in a lot of their items, which made it a little bit difficult to decide since neither of us eat pork. My sister really liked her chili, which honestly could be a meal on its own. I tried the cheese dip with naan and it was very good. I was very disappointed in my corned beef brisket sandwich. I saw photos on here where it had tons of meat and looked great, but this sandwich barely had any meat at all. I actually took out all the toppings from one half and put it on the other, eating it as a half sandwich - and it wasn't very full still. My sister got the chicken Caesar wrap, which she said was pretty good. For a drink I got the Pimm's cup, which I felt was one of the best I've had. I even went to a Pimm's bar and this one I liked more. Would I go back? Yes! I would just not recommend the sandwich I got.

Popular spot, solid food. This place was packed on a weekend, but we were lucky enough to get a seat after a wait. Service was a a bit slow, but that was likely reflective of the dinner time rush on a Saturday night. I decided to try a beer that mimicked the recipes used in colonial times. It was delicious and very fun to try! The fish and chips were tasty. The fish was moist and the fries were fairly standard. For the price, I would have expected a larger portion. The space was a bit cramped and the chairs sometimes made grating metallic noises on the floor. But it had the charm of a downtown pub that more than made up for those shortcomings. Overall, this is a great option for a downtown Colonial Williamsburg meal!

Very unpleasant hostess. Unnecessarily so. Stressed, kind of rude and (ok busy yes) bartender last night. Really just unpleasant .

The German Dog had a great combination of sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard, with plenty of topping in every bite. The corn dog was golden and crisp on the outside with a juicy hot dog inside. The real surprise was the pickle fries. They were crunchy, tangy, well seasoned, and especially good with the dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of creative choices beyond ordinary hot dogs, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant also has a welcoming, family-owned feel that makes the experience even better. A fun local spot with great food and plenty of personality. Let's see how this stop turned out. We were able to get a table during lunch time where there was a good crowd on hand. Since it was the 4th, I expected there would be a few more. The staff was pretty busy taking care of diners and orders ready for takeout. It was a little warm inside, but it wasn't a surprise given the weather was really hot. And there was a fan literally behind is blowing out much needed air. The special they had for the 4th was $2.50 corn dogs and $2.50 PBR beer. We said no to beer, but couldn't resist corn dogs. My order consisted of two of them and a small order of cheese curds. Sophia ordered two corn dogs and a Roadhouse hot dog. This was the first time in a long time I'me had corn dogs so I couldn't resist given the special. And boy did they deliver. I actually started to get full after eating my first one. They were really good and well cooked. And great call to add cheese curds to the meal. Tasted great especially with the sauce. Sophia enjoyed her selections and had leftovers to take home as well. There you have it. Another great lunch for the two of us. We'll be back soon :)

However, I would skip the beignets if you are expecting the traditional version.
