We LOVE Doggie's Wonderland and would recommend it to everyone with a dog. Our rescue dog is extremely active and hyper and needs more exercise that any other dog we've ever had. We bring her to Doggie's Wonderland a couple of times a week and she runs and plays with the other dogs and is almost exhausted when she comes home, which is exactly what she needs. We have taken a few trips since we've had her and we board her at Doggie's Wonderland, they are great with her and great with all the other dogs I've seen there. I'm extremely unhappy with my experience with Doggie's Wonderland in Corinth. I took my German Shepherd there on Friday, July 21st for a bath & de-shedding treatment. When I went to pick him up & was paying the bill, the technician let him wind himself around my legs on the retractable leash. He was pulling 1 way & she was pulling the other way. This caused an extremely painful rope burn around my legs. When I called to tell them about it, the manager just said he would document my account that they will wait to bring him out from the back until I have completed my billing transaction. We have been sending Xochi to Doggie Wonderland in Plano for over a year, and she absolutely loves going there. They do a great job in taking care of her, and you can tell the staff loves the dogs. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they have started putting Xochi in the small side yard on most days. She is a very big dog with very long legs and needs more space to run. The small yard is smaller than our own back yard. When asked why this is happening, I have been told, 1) that she likes it over there because her dog friend in in there, and 2) she was being ganged up on/bullied by other dogs. I did ask if Xochi was the aggressor and was assured that was not the case. Either way, I have asked for her to be moved back to the large yard permanently on more than one occasion, but it has not happened consistently. I think it has to do with who or how many people are working on any given day, but my husband is sure that it is because we do not pay the new top tier fees, fees which have significantly increased the cost of the service. I don't agree with my husband that Xochi is being put in with the "poor" dogs, but it is curious that this did start around the same time as the fee changes. I just think the owners of the company have raised the prices and started taking on too many dogs at one time. Also, they must not be paying an acceptable wage for people because there has been a lot of turn over. I do not feel that it has anything to do with the local staff. Everyone has been very nice, and you can tell that the people who have been with the company a long time love Xochi. She practically hugs some of them when she gets there. read more

Doggies Wonderland is the only daycare facility that we take our furbaby to. Wyatt has been going part-time, now full-time, for close to two years. The staff truly cares about Wyatt and it is evident in the excitement that I see from him every day when we turn into the parking lot. Wyatt is always greeted by name with a friendly smile. School (as we call it) = Fun The 'backyard' that he gets to play in (free play) is any dogs dream. A jungle gym to play, or hang out with your buds, water feature for those hot Texas days. You name it, they've got it! Ever -wonder- what your dog is up to? No need to -wonder- here. You can log on and watch your dog run around like a mad man with his friends. All. Day. Long. I love this! The staff will also call and report if your pup is naughty and gets put into "time-out". This is super important to us as we do not want Wyatt to forget that there are rules to follow. In two years, he's developed no bad behaviors. Other than whining (at home) when it is a no school day. Wyatt isn't just a dog to us. He is our family. Making sure he is healthy and happy is our job. Doggies Wonderland helps us to achieve this. We love how he lights up when we drop him off. At the end of the day when we pick him up, he's exhausted and HAPPY! His rear-end weapon (tail) wags feverously. It is clear the staff has been affectionate and taken good care of him while we were at work. This leaves our hearts full of happiness. Wish my experience was as good as everyone else's. I was paying for daycare for other dog interaction. I did not know that mine was being secluded because she did not do well with other dogs. I found out by watching the cameras and inquiring when picking up. On the other days no one would give me a "report" on her. Only responding with a I'm not sure, I just got here. My Izzie loves this place! The staff always remembers her name when I drop her off and they compliment her. The sofa are attended and the staff actually plays with the dogs. You can watch them on camera on the app. My sweet faced (slightly grumpy) pup came home one day with a ponytail. That was one brave soul that did this to my sometimes nippy girl. They all say that she's a perfect angel. I have complete trust that they will take care of my little monster. They have a few different rooms for the dogs to play and outdoor areas as well. My puppy is greeted warmly every time I drop him off at Doggie Wonderland. When I pick him up he seems happy. But I really struggle with the customer service I receive as a Human Being whenever I pick Ayo up. There's been several bad experiences, but the most recent was yesterday (10/19). I came to pick up my baby and let the person at the front desk know that I needed to update my pay info. He went back to get Ayo and another person came to cover the front desk. I asked if he could add my card while the other gentlemen grabbed my pup, he said he didn't know how. The other gentlemen came back with Ayo and I gave him my card. A lady came up and handed me Ayo's sunscreen. I thanked her and let her know I forgot his harness in my car, I ran out to go get it. When I came back the lady was entering the info and all 3 employees (the 2 other guys I'd asked for help) were laughing. I could tell they were laughing at me. I have bad social anxiety, but I didn't understand what was funny about it taking 3 employees to help me with 1 simple payment update. I felt embarrassed and I even asked if I did something wrong. The lady replied no ... and they all kept laughing quietly. After my card was finally updated in the system, they mentioned my pup hadn't been at their location in a while. As I walked out, I wondered if they realized WHY I'm hesitant to bring him in. I want to be treated kindly since I'm always polite to everyone I speak to at Doggie Wonderland. I want speedy service. And I also resent being made fun of. I felt unwelcome and embarrassed. And since I'm the person who pays for Ayo's stay, I don't know if I'll ever be back. ***Editor's Note***: My review itself confirmed that my puppy was treated kindly and that he was happy and healthy when I picked him up. But calling, asking questions, and then assuring me that "race isn't a part of the equation" is even MORE alarming. MAKE A RESERVATION FOR A PLACE INFESTED WITH KENNEL COUGH been coming here everyday since the beginning of april. today david the manager refused service. let's go over it. met david a few weeks ago when i was dropping off my dog and the first thing he asked me was if i had a reservation, i raised an eyebrow because since i've been coming nobody has ever asked me if i had a reservation. he then proceeded to explain to me in smart ass way that it's too busy and they need a reservation before coming in. i told him great how do i get a reservation, then explained to me i can download the app or tell somebody she will be returning the next day. after that day when i would drop her off and pick her up i would let the front office person know i will be back tomorrow. today when i walked in david gave me a huge sigh and told me i haven't been putting in reservations and i laughed because i talk to the workers everyday that ill be returning tomorrow. then david proceeded to explain to me that when he told me how to make a reservation i told him no! i giggled. then he proceeded to argue with me about it then refused to bring in my dog. told him alright he needs to have better attitude with his clients, especially loyal ones who come everyday. another problem here, they turned off there cameras so we couldn't watch our dogs and apparently they did that because doggie parents were noticing NOBODY WAS WATCHING THE DOGS! great, i spend tons of money here so nobody can supervise my dog. my dog used to go to camp bow wow best place ever but it was further away. i'd rather drive the extra 30 minutes now. I love this place! Max is a GSD greyhound mix and has a ton of energy. On days where my husband and I won't be home most of the day Max goes to daycare where he is outside all day! He is socializing with other dogs, running, playing, getting dirty and being a dog! This place has great staff that are always polite and nice when checking in and out. The other pet parents are friendly as well. They provide notice of your dog got out in time out for any behavior issues so we can keep an eye on anything he is doing at home at our dog park as well. Overall this place is amazing and our pup loves it. He isn't shut up in a kennel all day with nothing to do so we board him here when we travel as well. I can't say how much I recommend this place! The only downside is when it rains they don't always let the dogs out as much depending on how much mud or how heavy the rain is so on rainy days he stays home- I don't like paying for daycare if he can be in his crate at home for free. read more

This place made my 9 month old boxer/lab mix puppy sick, and the manager completely refused to address the issue. I started taking him at the beginning of October 2019 and I will NEVER take him back. I was only there for 3 weeks. The one week I took him 3 days, his breathing got congested, and he ended up with (all on the same side of his body): 1.) a nasty ear infection that left me with a $200 vet bill, 2.) an eye infection that caused the under eye portion to swell, the whites of his eye to turn blood red, and thick green discharge 3.) an infection on his back paw that caused the paw pad to swell and the skin to ripple and crack. The "customer service": First of all, I did not once receive a behavior report, not even on the first trial day. When I went to pick him up that first day, they just said "he did good." Probably should've known then, but he seemed to have fun and it actually wore him out. I bought a 10 full day package ($271) and paid cash for the Tuesday ($20) specials. Sheri told me the dog bite protection was included but it was added on, so nice little lie there to up charge me. I always dropped him off between 9:30-10am and had him picked up before 6:30. I ALWAYS gave my dog a thorough rinse or bath and rinsed his eyes with solution (approved by my vet) after coming home. I wasn't informed the first 4 times we were there that he wasn't eating his food. Their excuse was sometimes dogs don't eat in new environments due to stress. Thats questionable considering he's never turned anything down and scarfed down his food the second we got home. The only way he won't eat is if something's not clean. I asked multiple times to see the facility. I had to walk around the side to see the yard. They'll only show you the small dog kennels, never the large or yards. They say they clean everyday but there was still dirt in the corners of the small dog kennels both times I walked through. After watching the cameras for a few days, I noticed they had the dogs up by 5:30 and were already cleaning or had cleaned the indoor play areas. Sherri told me they "put the dogs up at 6:30 or 6:00 depending on the weather." When I informed her I was watching them clean the rooms by 5:30, her response was "I'm not here then but that's what they're supposed to do." And speaking of cameras, they're a joke. You can barely see the main dog yard, where they are most of the time. They say the dogs can come in and out of the yard freely, but thats not true. They have to be in a separate play area with access. The dogs swarm the fence whenever an employee brings out a water bucket or it starts raining and they're trying to get inside. I used 3 of the 10 day package. I tried contacting the manager for 2 weeks to get a refund for the 7 days I wouldn't be using because my puppy was getting sick there. Manager was NEVER there. Supposed to be there between 8a-3p.. not the 3 different times I called during that time. I finally get Sheri on the phone, sent her the vet bill as requested (said they haven't had any health issues reported so this was a shock). They only refunded me $134.50, which is less than half. Her reasoning for the bogus amount was because the package deal has a free day (not the 10% advertised) and they won't refund me that day???? So I paid for a free day I never received. Clearly can't do basic math because even then the numbers don't add up. I used 3 days of that package. Even at the regular rate plus the $1 per day dog bite coverage, it would come out to $30 a day - $90 total of the $271 paid (note: my daily receipts never showed the dog bite coverage). Refund should've been $181, but the manager can't be bothered to discuss this. Sheri told me on Monday 11/4/19 that they refunded me that morning for the $134.50. They were missing $46.50 on that return. Well, my bank told me nothing was filed that morning and DW only refunded me AFTER I filed a dispute with my credit card company for the unused balance of $181. I got refunded on 11/7/19 for $134.50. Still disputing the remaining balance. Shocker! Never heard from the manager. read more

We had the absolute worst experience with Doggie's Wonderland. We have a 1 year-old English Pointer named Rudy who likes to run, so we thought the extra space to run while being boarded would be good for him. Rudy had his trial day there and all seemed to go fine, so we scheduled him to stay there over Christmas for about a week. There was no communication from them while we were gone, so we assumed Rudy had done fine. When my husband went to pick him up, he noticed that Rudy was incredibly thin and moving slowly (and he never moves slowly). English Pointers are normally skinny, but he looked emaciated. My husband pointed it out to the front office staff, and it wasn't until he asked about it that one of the other workers reported that he had not eaten that day and had had some diarrhea the day before. There was not written communication given to him about the summary of his stay. The day Rudy was picked up, he was lethargic and throwing up at home. I called Doggie's Wonderland to find out how long he had been this way. Rudy also had a cut on his ear that noone told us about when he was picked up. The assistant supervisor I talked to said that she wanted to tell us about his ear (apparenty dogs climb over each other at the fence and he was at the bottom) but was told not to because if it wasn't bad enough to go to the vet we did not need to know about it. The assistant supervisor also said that we do not know how many days he had not eaten because the laminated sheet which would tell her that information gets erased when the dogs leave. I was also told at that time that someone said Rudy had blood in his stool a few days before as well. Once again, this information was never reported to us until this phone call. Rudy was barely wanting to stand up and walk around, so we took him to the emergency vet (it was New Year's Day so our regular vet was not open). Through x-ray, it was discovered that he had an obstruction and he would need to have it surgically removed. Rudy had a $2,600 surgery that night. It was discovered that he had swallowed a squirrel. Now, three weeks later, Rudy just had his cone and staples removed and is now able to eat solid food again. Thank goodness! I was not getting a call back from a supervisor at Doggie's Wonderland, so I walked in to discuss the situation about a week ago. The front office supervisor made copies of the vet bills and promised that a supervisor would get back to me ASAP. I told him I did not want this to happen to another dog and perhaps they could change the way they report to owners at the end of the stay their eating patterns and any known injuries. I was assured someone would get back to me, and so far NO WORD. No call to even check on how Rudy was doing since his emergency surgery. The only gesture made was a refund of his boarding there, but there was never any communication from a supervisor to discuss what happened or how they would prevent a future emergency situation. My husband and I both understand that dogs eat things they shouldn't, and it happens. We get that. We also know that dogs will sometimes go a day without eating or may have a episode of bloody stool. The fact of the matter is, Rudy had not eaten in SEVERAL days according to the emergency vet, and she told us adamantly, "Do not take him back there ever again!". Don't worry we won't! read more

I watched my dog on camera and no one interacted with her during her entire stay since they were way overcapacity. How could one staff member care for 60 dogs at once? At one point I saw them drag a dog by its collar across the concrete because THEY let it out. They are mean to the dogs and ignore them. My dog came home with blood on her face and a large scratch. When I asked about it, they told me they knew nothing about it. Of course they didn't, they do not pay any attention to the dogs. The staff is always looking at their phones or talking to each other. My dog was so dehydrated when she came home, I had to spend another $325 at the vet for IV fluids. Where is their water? Did you even feed her the food I provided? Leo was a rescue and is my precious furbaby. So as you might think I am very cautious with whom I leave my little pup. At first, I was hesitant to take him to a large dog boarding and daycare. However, I must say I do not know what I would do without Doggies Wonderland. From the time we pull into the parking lot until we come into the welcome area, Leo whimpers and whines with joy! When I mention he is going to doggy daycare, he becomes so excited and ready to jump in the car! He quickly will go in to the building and through the door without even looking back at me. I believe animals know when they are safe and loved! The staff to include Birdie, Sydney, Joseph, Alex, and Trey take care of Leo like he is their own. They welcome him by name and always has a friendly greeting for me. I love the fact they have cameras that I can watch him throughout the day. The free roaming, kennel free environment in and outside play areas are awesome. Leo gets special attention during lunch time as he is a picky eater and they are always telling me if he ate or not when I pick him up. The staff and management truly love pets and will take good care of yours! Leo likes to go 2-3 times a week and always comes home tired as proof by the recent picture! I thought I was going to have a good experience for my two dogs. First time I had my dogs stay there I had requested both dogs be washed. They where kenneled together. They washed and brought me the wrong dog. Although give them some credit one of my two dogs did get washed. I said no problem they are coming back in two days. I will get the other washed then. On the second visit I was wise enough to call to make sure they had the right dog. Since I did not sign in the sheet they told me that I was fourth in-line and it would be later that afternoon for a wash. I picked up my dogs any way. No apologies. When I got home Saturday I discovered that one of my dogs had been bitten. I had taken out bite insurance at the doggie wonderland. No problem I will speak to the management on Monday morning. I showed them pic's of the bite wound unfortunately they said they only use there vet. As my pet was already at our vet preparing for surgery. Then they informed me that since it was not reported in 24 hours they would not honor the pet insurance. No apologies no sorry. Except they cannot believe it happened. They only bite report wast one of there handlers was bitten. And this is very unusual. They told me that I should have read the fine print. Have a nice day! Horrible experience read more

This is the worst place I've ever seen. I took a tour and it is completely rundown and smells of urine. I understand dogs sometimes have accidents but it smelled like it had never been cleaned. During my tour I heard the manager, Deborah, yelling at an employee. She was foul mouthed and cursing. It seemed the employee was trying to explain a safety issue but Deborah said it was not going to be fixed because that would cost money. Disappointed. After a fairly positive experience last weekend when we had a last minute out of town trip, the same cannot be said about this weekend's experience. I'll begin by saying that I'm overly protective of my dogs. It has taken me a long time to get comfortable with boarding my dogs as I'm always fearful that something will happen. This is my bias. A business like this has to recognize that these biases exists. This weekend I packaged up the dogs for an overnight visit (again, after what seemed like a positive experience last weekend). I put food in ziplock bags for each of them for each meal (they don't eat the same dry food), so there were four bags (two for each) provided for their stay. Instructions were given that they get fed in the evening and in the morning (fairly simple instructions), with half a pouch of wet food shared between the two. It seems the staff working this weekend, were not able to understand those instructions as when I got home, there was still two bags of food in their bag (one for each; no wet food remained), which means they didn't get fed during one the meal times (I'm guessing breakfast this morning as they were very stressed when I started making dinner for them this evening). I was beyond angry that something as simple as feeding my dogs could be so easily ignored, or at worst overlooked. Clearly the systems in place for caring for your pets at this location don't work. If you plan on leaving your animal at Doggie's Wonderland, consider the Coppell location as they have a much high rating on Google, and from our past experience there, they understand the importance of the family members you leave under their custody. If you insist on the Plano location be sure they understand the care instructions EVERY time you go (don't assume that anyone is reading their care instructions). Yes I've emailed the business expressing my disappointment. No there is nothing they can do to fix this (the damage is done). Once you show you can't care for family pets, then we are done. Fix your systems so that this doesn't happen again to other people's animals. Beyond disappointed and annoyed. read more

My dog loves going and I love that he comes back tired. I have a 18 month old lab and doggie daycare is the only thing that can wear him out. The staff is nice and welcoming. I like that they remember your dog by name, and are helpful for answering any questions. I especially appreciate that when accidents do happen (your dog is hurt by another dog or etc.) they will call to let you know. I was at my wit's end with my dog. He is high energy and was driving me nuts in my house. Even with walking and playing. So I decided to try out Doggie Wonderland. This place is great!! My dog came home and crashed out. He was happy AND tired. The staff are great, they know the dogs and are clearly animal people. They prescreen every dog (1 free play day) before allowing them to start coming regularly. Boarding, grooming, and day care are all very competitively priced.
