This place is extremely horrible. I had someone who watches my dog recommend this place and she took him while I was on vacation for my birthday. He went Saturday 10/12. They burnt my dog and tramatized him. I have had to take him to the vet and spend more money to make sure he's not infected. The cute is uneven and they didn't bother clipping all of his nails. So now he has to wear a cone because the area is extremely irritating toy baby. Shame on you. Pics to come. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I WOULD! Jim is extremely rude! along with tammy. My dog will never step foot back in this place! I dropped my dog off at maybe around 10:30 and came to check on him around 1:30 and my dog was not ready yet. I was being understanding with Jim for not telling him that I had other things to do today. As I proceeded to walk out of the door Jim said a rude remark, along with tammy saying "you can take the dog with you if you want" Which caused me to take my dog with me in the middle of him being wet from a bath! the disrespect was very uncalled for and not to mention I'm a minor (16 years old). The way they treated me today made me scared for my dogs life as well which is why I'm writing this review to warn anyone who is looking for a nice & friendly place for their dog, This is not the place for you. **UPDATE** After taking my dog to another groomer they brought to my attention that PET PALACE IN PLANO did a horrible job cutting my dog because they found scratches around his private area. Jim & Tammy will not properly take care if your dog! Do not bring your pet to this unfit groomer. read more

Excellent Shop! We have taken our Maltese dogs there for 15 yrs. Our dogs don't mind going, as they are bathed & groomed weekly at home. We have used Pet Palace for ~ 30 years with 3 different dogs. Jim owns the place and is great with our Shih Tzu. Izzy actually likes to go to the groomer. It's probably because she loves Caroline, the best groomer ever. We take our pup in by 8:00 am and they usually have her ready by 11:00. They put a scarf around her neck and some bows on her ears. Not to mention a very nice fragrance that lasts for a few days. We recommend Pet Palace to all our friends and know you will love them too. Gary B. read more

This place started out ok since my dog hates being groomed and they never complained to me about her...but after the last few times I will NEVER take my dog back here again. The last few times they have consistently NOT called me when she is ready to be picked up like they say they will. When I called after her being there for 6 hours she had not even started being groomed. The last time it was 8 hours and they were closing when I finally called and found out she had been done for a while and no one said anything. I think its awful and I felt so bad she was sitting there in a cage for NO reason the entire day. They never seem to follow the grooming directions I give them either. I always ask to keep the ears short, and short around the face and they never cut it right. I always have to fix it at home, which is a waste of my money. I have seen cuts on her too the last few times which I was not happy about. The customer service is awful. The owner seems nice but if you have a problem (he called me after I was upset the last time I picked my dog up) he put all the blame on me and never took responsibility or apologized for anything. He was rude and I didn't appreciate him telling me it was my fault they didn't cut my dog the way I wanted them to. In his words, if I was to tell him EXACTLY what I wanted it would happen...which I did, but he and his staff apparently didn't listen. After he leaves my dog sitting there time and time again, he shouldn't be telling me its my fault it all happened... All in all, the place is shady and I do not feel comfortable getting my dog groomed there and you shouldn't either! read more

I like this small, locally owned pet store. They have a surprisingly good selection of pet supplies considering the size of the store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I believe they also groom dogs as well. I come here for other reasons though. This is where I come for my weekly supply of live crickets for our Bearded Dragon and Leopard Gecko. Pet Palace is also one of the only places I can consistently find feeder mice for our snake. If you're in the area it's worth checking out. read more

Pet Palace has been grooming my cocker spaniel for years and he always comes out looking very handsome.

I have gone to Pet Palace for about 10 Years and after today I will officially NEVER go back. They consistently never follow the directions that are given and basically groom the dogs as they see fit. (i.e. My only grooming request: my shih tzu is a girl so leave the ponytail she currently has and do not cut it off. ------- How did they groom her based off my ONLY request? They shaved the top of her head cutting off her ponytail completely because they "lost the grooming card" with my directions. Instead of calling me to ask me what the grooming directions were, they proceeded to groom her as they saw fit. This is the second time in a row this has happened, and instead of apologizing for their mistake they yell at the their customers.......bad customer service is an understatement. Pet Palace is not what it used to be and has gone downhill over the years. Their staff, particularly the owner, is incredibly rude and their grooming isn't what it used to be. I strongly recommend Pappy's Pet Lodge on Coit if you are looking for quality grooming and a friendly staff. read more

I've taken my dog to Pet Palace twice (location is convenient) but won't again. I got a negative vibe from the gentleman who helped me the first time and should have listened to my gut. On my second visit, he seemed even more unhappy to be there and having to help a customer. Hard to imagine he really likes pets/animals. I left my dog for grooming but as I walked out I knew that would be the last time I'd take my dog there. Two more things sealed it for me. When I came to pick up my dog, i could see one of the groomers working on someone else's dog. The girl was yelling at the little dog because it was wiggling while she was trying to groom it. !? My dog came out looking good but was very eager to leave. A day later I noticed my dog's ears looked red inside. On closer inspection, I realized she had several small cuts inside both ears where they'd shaved or cut too close. Maybe in too much of a hurry? Not sure how they stay in business. They won't get any more of my money. read more
