Dok Khao is always a great dinner option. The restaurant is aesthetically beautiful and decorated in visually pleasing manner. Our server was Chu who was attentive, offered great recommendations and accommodated all of our needs. Our drinks included the pomegranate lemonade which was on the sweeter side but refreshing. Thai ice tea was delicious, sweet but not too sweet. Midnight mermaid was tasty and doesn't taste strong liquor wise but slowly creeps up on you We started with the Bangkok wings and chive cakes. The wings were flavorful and chive cakes were mouth watering. Our entrees include the volcano seafood which had a lot of heat and nice combination of seafood. The lychee duck was sweet and savory and the duck was cooked to perfection. The Thai basil chicken bites were seasoned well and combined well with the fried rice . The cry baby noodles were similar to drunken noodles. Sauce has sweet and savory combination. Finally for dessert, we had an assortment which were all delectable. The chocolate cake was rich and paired well with the vanilla ice cream. The Thai ice crème brûlée was different and creamy. The mango sorbet was palette cleansing.
Dok Khao is probably my favorite restaurant in Merriweather. They're consistently great. I have noticed that prices have gone up since last year, which is understandable due to inflation, but they haven't lowered the quality of the food at all. My go-to order is their pad Thai and kapaw fried rice. Their pineapple fried rice is also really good, along with their curry. The tom yum and spring rolls are great appetizers, too. Honestly, I think everything on the menu is good. It's truly a staple and iconic restaurant in Merriweather.
Stopped by after our round of golf and this place did not disappoint. We were greeted right upon entry with a warm smile and seated right away. The service was fast and very helpful. I opted for the Cry Baby dish and it was tasty with a little sweetness and tanginess. The decorations were very vibrant with an abundance of colors from flowers and decorations. A great option all around and will definitely be back again. Parking is shared with the surrounding residences and businesses. Enjoy!
Dok Khao is such a nice spot for Thai food, especially if you catch their happy hour which is only available at the bar. The restaurant is well decorated it has that trendy vibe. We came during happy hour (Mon-Fri 3-6 PM at the bar). Most appetizers were $8, and cocktails were around $9. We ordered the healthy roll, papaya salad, and jacketed shrimp all $8 each. The healthy roll was fresh with crisp veggies and a peanut sauce. The papaya salad which is my go-to had a good balance of tangy, sweet, and spicy flavors. The jacketed shrimp were crispy - no complaints there. For drinks, I got a lychee mojito and a hot thai tea latte. The mojito was light and refreshing and the thai tea latte was creamy and warm. Overall, great flavors, good service and ambiance, and good value. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially if I'm in Columbia.
We were told our wait time would be 30 minutes but it wasn't even 15. We got the crab Rangoon, pineapple fried rice, and crispy duck basil. The rangoons were heavy on the cheese and I could barely taste the crab. HOWEVER, my duck basil was SO good. My spice tolerance is high so I recommend less for whoever doesn't like/tolerate spice. The pineapple fried rice was also good. Our waitress was nice and attentive and helped me decide on my dish. The ambiance is nice although it can get too busy and noisy. One note is that the bathroom was messy. I wish they checked on the condition of the bathroom intermittently.
It's been ages since I last went the Merriweather Post Pavilion area. It was for a Dave Matthew's Band concert, actually, and that kinda gives you a clue as to how old I am. Dom Khao Thai Eatery is a very visually appealing, Instagrammable restaurant. There were flowers all around, and there was even a fountain in the middle of the restaurant! Food wise, the Thai food was alright. Portions could have been more generous. We had the pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and the duck. It is worth mentioning that the music was kind of loud inside. Overall it was a good lunch experience.
Tons of free parking. Accepts both cash and credit card. We decided to come here to celebrate a special occasion. This interior of this business is very casual and good vibes. Seems like folks here enjoy their time inside the restaurant. We ordered various dishes from their Tom Yum, lamb curry, crab curry, steam dumplings, duck roll and pad Thai. The Tom Yum soup is a combination of spicy and sour. Good for a cold day. Their duck roll was delicious and big enough to share with another person. The steam dumplings appears to look more like a shumai and was okay. Nothing too special. The lamb curry was good, but a bit too sweet. The crab curry was really good and savory. The pad Thai was okay. Wished the portion was a bit bigger and noodles be a bit more drier. Oh and the staff here are very friendly. He came by our table various times and help answer our question. In terms of pricing, this place is more on the pricier side. Good place to celebrate special moments like birthdays and graduations. Definitely come here during the lunch hours. This place gets very busy during dinner hours.
I visited Dok Khao Thai during their cherry blossom pop-up and was genuinely impressed! As soon as you walk in, you can instantly see how beautifully decorated the restaurant was for spring. There were cherry blossoms everywhere, it was so aesthetic and perfect for pictures! I tried several items from the seasonal spring menu, including the crispy golden bags, Phuket chili crab, yellow curry platter, lamb curry noodles (khao soi), and beef noodle soup. I loved how flavorful each dish was. The khao soi was my absolute favorite and a dish I HIGHLY recommend! The lamb was incredibly tender and paired with the curry noodles? It was phenomenal, rich, and ultra comforting! For their cherry blossom pop-up, they also had spring special drinks. I loved that their cocktails can be made into mocktails! Any drink you order at Dok Khao is guaranteed to come with an adorable presentation, like the Neko Hana which was served in a cat-shaped glass! Something new I've never tried before was their lychee espresso, such a fun drink with a unique twist! Overall, Dok Khao is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in the Columbia, MD area. It was the perfect mix of a lively atmosphere with attentive service, creative seasonal dishes, and a great spot to take family or friends!
I recently visited Dok Khao Thai Eatery for happy hour, and overall, it was a great experience that I'm definitely looking forward to repeating. Customer Service: I was greeted immediately upon arrival and chose to sit at the bar, so there was no wait. My bartender/server, PB, was fantastic--super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. She checked on me within 5 minutes, brought water right away, and even went out of her way to compliment me, which was a really nice touch. Her service truly elevated the experience. Food: * HH Gyoza (3) - minced chicken, cabbage, onion, ginger with Thai herb sauce (3/5): Mild in flavor overall. The filling could use a bit more seasoning, and I would've loved a sweet/spicy kick in the sauce to balance it out. * HH Bangkok Wings (3) - (5/5): These were a standout! Perfectly fried and tossed in a delicious spicy chili sauce. Flavorful and cooked just right. Drinks: * White Peach Martini - 5/5 ($8 HH): Light, refreshing, and well-balanced. * Cheshire Cat - 5/5 ($16): Bourbon, blueberries, lime, syrup, and ginger ale--absolutely loved this one. Smooth with great flavor. * Sip Like A Star - 3/5 ($17): Bourbon, peach, passion fruit, pineapple. Tasty but a bit too sweet for my preference (I ended up exchanging it for the Cheshire Cat). Atmosphere: The space is small and intimate but still offers plenty of seating. The décor is beautiful--I loved the greenery and floral accents. It creates a cozy but elevated vibe. Overall: Great experience with good food and even better service. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes--especially the fried branzino and red curry salmon, which looked amazing when I saw them come out. One thing to note: it gets busy fast, even on a Tuesday. The door never stopped opening while I was there, so I highly recommend making a reservation for dinner. Dok Khao is absolutely worth checking out--and as long as PB is behind the bar, that's exactly where I'll be!
I love the ambiance there. The place feels like you walked into a little Thai garden with all the colors and floral decorations. On a Saturday it was packed, but this was an impromptu stop so we grabbed seats at the bar. What we ordered: Chicken Cashew Hearty, savory, and exactly what you want from a comfort Thai dish. Lots of flavor and a great mix of textures. Spicy Tilapia with Mango Sauce This one was perfect in my opinion. Light, crispy fish with that sweet-meets-savory mango sauce that just works. Thai Coffee Strong and bold... just the way I like it. Lychee Thai Tea Sweet, refreshing, and exactly her vibe.
I really enjoyed my visit to Dok Khao! The food was delicious, the ambiance was amazing, and the drinks were excellent. I especially enjoyed the wings and the Pad See Ew, both were full of flavor and well prepared. My only complaint was that our waitress didn't check on us very often throughout the meal. This place was highly recommend as a spot to try. Overall, my experience was okay--our server disappeared halfway through our meal so we were waiting an extra hour tryin to request the receipt from other servers which was a whole ordeal. The seats are fairly cramped, so you'll be pretty close to your neighbor, especially if you go for early lunch (like we did) as it gets PACKED. The place is nicely decorated and apparently they change decor based on the seasons which is cute. Food-wise, our starters/appetizers were better than the main dishes. So flavorful and cooked perfectly! I can't remember the exact names of what I ordered but one items was a samosa of sorts, and the other were their sweet and spicy wings. The entree I ordered was the crabmeat fried rice with shrimp, it wasn't really seasoned so it tasted fairly bland. I had a lot of leftovers, so I brought it home to refresh with a few seasonings and added some sweet Asian chili sauce and it tasted AMAZING. Overall, not a noteworthy experience and I more than likely wouldn't be back--though if you do visit definitely consider trying their appetizers!
I got the chance to go after a spa day with some friends and I was very pleased. The music was definitely grooving and the food came quickly and fresh. I got the soft shell crab in the pumpkin curry sauce with jasmine rice. Since we were a party of 6, we had 20% gratuity added which I didn't mind. I also had a lychee martini which was very tasty and well crafted. I only give it 4 starts because the seating was a little tight and papaya salad could have had more spice. I'll be back!
I'm absolutely going back to this legit Thai restaurant for the Nom Tok, it was amazing! I ordered it as an appetizer and it could have been an entree. My face was sweating it was so good! The ambiance is soothing and cozy. I felt very welcomed here. The service was great and the staff rotated through, including the manager to check on us and our food. I'll be a repeat diner. read more
My bestie and I came here on a beautiful Sunny Sunday afternoon to catch up. I recommendEd this place because she is vegan and I am vegetarian among other "arians" so it was a win for both of us. we start out with the tofu wings which were really tofu sticks with peanut chili sauce. I love these tofu sticks but they could have been a bit more crunchy since I like crunchy tofu. my main entree was red curry dish with vegetables, white rice and tofu. Delicioso! but I wish it was a larger portion because I'm greedy like that. Funny thing is we ate around 3pm and I went home and had a pie of fruit for the rest of the evening and didn't eat anything else. so I guess my portion was just enough! We finished with desert, the fried banana with coconut ice cream and shared the mango rice with ice cream. The fried banana was yummy and sweet but the oil they fried it in didn't sit well with my stomach. Overall the food was good so I give it a 8/10. The server was nice and sweet and she took our photos so she got a 10/10. The soft drinks were not refillable so just be mindful of that. I will be back to try more items and a cocktail and mocktail!!! read more

Saw this restaurant on Instagram due to the grand opening of a different location. Decided to come to this Columbia location because the food looked great and the ratings were high (but I didn't want to deal with "new restaurant" issues at the other spot). Dok Khao is located near Merriweather Post Pavilion, in the Columbia Town Center. Nearby parking was okay and Free. We arrived with no reservations so we had a 10-15 minute wait, which was fine. We order the lychee Thai tea (4/5), spring rolls (4/5), crab fried rice (5/5), and ginger sesame beef with fried rice instead of white rice (5/5!!!!). All of the food was delicious! The service quick, even with them being busy, and their customer service was excellent. The decor was eclectic and cute, their entryway is Instagrammable (AND THE FOOD IS STILL GREAT!!!). There were 3 birthday celebrations while we were there and they were cute. I will definitely be back again to try more items!! read more
We went to have lunch and found this on Google. The ambience is bright and airy with lots of natural light. We were greeted and seated right away. Staff is very friendly. Our food and drinks came out quickly and everything was delicious. The assortment of dim sum is fantastic and it's going to require several visits to get through. I enjoyed dinner here last night. It's such a ridiculously aesthetic restaurant, we saw people coming into the entry just to take photos. Service was slow to start but the pace picked up once we got our orders in. The food was authentic and flavorful. My friend who is a super taster didnt seem thrilled with her pad Thai because it was "too authentic" for her bland palate. For me, I'd consider that a win! Bring on the flavor! I got the duck roll appetizer and the shrimp w/crab specialty dish. I'd recommend both. I wish we'd left room for dessert but we were too full but the end of the meal. One warning - there are A LOT of birthdays celebrated here. The birthday song is blasted in the restaurant every time they celebrate one. We heard it six times in the span of two hours. When the birthday song isn't playing, I feel like I'm back in college at a bar with Kesha and Justin Timberlake playing in the background. They definitely have a vibe going! read more
Probably the best Thai food I've had in MD thus far!! This restaurant blew us out the water. Our favorite dishes was the phuket chili (soft shell) crabs and cry baby noodles. The flavoring was chefs kiss!! Best soft shell entree I've ever had at a restaurant, period. I think both dishes are also limited time too so go try it out! Service was also so quick and interior was cute. We will definitely be coming back and telling all our friends! read more
We came for lunch on a weekday and it was busy! That's how you know the food is good. We walked in to a very fun atmosphere with holiday decor and ambiance lighting. The service was friendly and attentive. We started with the Thai tea with boba and it was the best I've had. Perfect flavor and sweetness, the boba was also perfection. We had the chef special golden bags for an appetizer and those were incredible. So much flavor and great presentation. For meals we had shrimp pad Thai. It was delicious and sweet and salty. No spice. For a non spicy fan like myself it was perfect. We finished our meal with the thai tea volcano which is like a Thai tea ice cream cake. It's a frozen desert with bits of fruit on top. It was refreshing and a good end to the meal if you like the flavor of Thai tea and want a light flakey cold desert. Overall we will absolutely be back! read more
This restuarant is so cute and always packed! Unless you go on a week day or during the off hours, prepare to wait at least 15 minutes. It goes by pretty quickly! I've tried many dishes here and you can never really go wrong. Every dish and drink I've tried here, I've enjoyed. They have such a good variety that sometimes I want to order everything LOL. They also have some really delicious desserts but most of the time I go, I'm too full to order more. I really enjoy coming here :) read more

Met up with a friend for dinner here for the first time and what a wonderful place it is! The inside is filled with bright colors and they had a lot of fun holiday decor that made it feel perfect for this month! Our server was sweet and attentive. I ordered the pad kapow with shrimp and it was the perfect level of spicy, packed with flavors and the right portion. We also ordered the spring rolls and they were hot and crispy. I ended up finishing my plate so I was sad that I didn't have any leftovers to take home lol I'll definitely be back! read more

What an amazing Thai spot. The food is so fresh and well balanced. The perfect balanced of sweet, sour, spicy, and salty. I devoured my pad Thai. I got Dok Khaos recipe and it was phenomenal. Definitely highly recommend. I like spice and the medium spice wasn't spicy enough for me. But take that with a grain of salt!! Everyone's spice tolerance is different. The service was so good, it was an everyone is taking care of everyone situation. Everything is stunning, the drinks, the food, the servers, the interior. Even the bathrooms were beautiful. Have visited Dok Kao twice now and most recently picked up on a Sunday. Located in Columbia Town Center, they were packed around 12:30 so popular for Sunday Brunch. A good amount of seating with a long Bar area with Stools covering at least half the area. Atmosphere was loud with the sounds of Bartenders mixing their drinks as background noise. We've ordered a few items and really can't go wrong with anything here. For appetizers-our favorites are Duck Roll (anything Duck I'm in!), Fried Chive Cake (loved their version of this one) and Jacketed Shrimp. For Entrees-the Seafood Drunken Noodles always hit the spot with so buttery noodles and all seafood including Mussels. For more veggies, Garden Delight and Spicy Eggplant didn't disappoint. Crispy Duck Basil & Red Curry were excellent! We'll have to dine-in to take in the vibe. I went to Dok Khao for dinner and it was such a fun and yummy place! It's very well decorated if a little tight on space but nothing too crazy where you don't room to enjoy your meal. Our waiter was awesome and attentive and checked on us frequently. We got the fried chive cakes and nam tok to start and both were excellent and well seasoned and sauced. For my main I got the seafood volcano which was a little sweet but it was perfect with the fish sauce and chilis. I also tried the drunked noodles with pork and it was so well seasoned and well cooked. I tried the lychee martini here was a tad too sweet but yummy, and we finished off with the mango sticky rice and lychee cheesecake which were AMAZING. Portions were also large enough for lunch the next day. Overall, a great spot for Thai food! read more
I love this place! MY FAVORITE THAI SPOT IN HOWARD COUNTY and the staff is beyond sweet and kind. I live across the street and I come here all the time! They even have a really good happy hour too! I brought my family here and they can be rather difficult when trying new food and they were so patient. The food was so good and. I'm so thankful my niece chose this place. Free parking, beautiful ambiance and scenery, and great prices. I'm updating my review because I'd add more stars if I can! I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, I LOVE this place. Dok Khao is vibrant, friendly, attentive and delicious! Had a late night hankering for Thai Food and also wanted to be able to slow stroll afterward during a warm summer night, so this place was perfect! The service was quick and the food was fresh! Tom Yum soup was level 3 hotness , but I'll go to level 4 next time! Sautéed with bok choy, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower, the broth complimented the veggies just right. The Jacketed shrimp was made impeccably! Fresh shrimp, gently rolled and deep-fried with a sweet chili sauce was a great match for the soup. I thoroughly enjoyed! The color pink is plentiful throughout the restaurant. The umbrellas on the ceiling and photo booth really make for a great photo memory, especially the music! read more
Adorable restaurant with great food! I'm pretty basic and pretty much always get Pad Thai at any Thai restaurant, but was impressed by the other dishes here too. The massamun curry in particular was very delicious with the waffle-shaped bread. The Bangkok wings were also very tasty - very similar to kkanpungki (Korean lollipop chicken). The Dok Khao Pad Thai was also surprisingly/interestingly unique - hard to describe but new and delicious. Would love to return and try other dishes They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait a little bit and give yourself time to look for parking! read more

The food was delicious! Came to this restaurant since it's next to Merriweather Post Pavilion on a random Tuesday night. Didn't have to wait to be seated for 4 people at 6pm. The restaurant is spacious & nicely decorated. The service was friendly and the food came super quick. The price is reasonable and good portion size. They don't miss! Hello and welcome to Don Khao Thai eatery in Columbia. I've recently learned they are part of the Pattana Restaurant Group operating in Virginia and Maryland. The Maryland restaurants are Sense of Thai, Thai of Laurel, Thai of Silver Spring, Dok Khao (Chevy Chase), and Thai of Waugh Chapel. That's great news if you love their Thai food because you have opportunities to experience the food at multiple locations. For a place that's always crowded, Dok Khao understands utilizing all the available table space. The wait doesn't feel as long in the Merriweather plaza which is very welcoming hosting a great mixture of residents and visitors. I really cannot get enough of the food here. Very flavorful, fresh, and precision made. The fried rice was not oily, had the right seasoning, and didn't leave you sluggish after eating such a generous portion of food. I really like the bok choy, carrot slices, Thai basil, and fresh tomato because it balances the dish well between acidic and savory. The purple rain cocktail was crafted beautifully and was refreshing. Lastly, the healthy rolls with the sweet peanut sauce very refreshing. The raw vegetable ingredients compliments one another and the presentation for the table is nice. For my second in restaurant experience they did not disappoint. Overall 4.8 of 5 read more
I wish I could give this place 6 stars... Y'all... this place. This PLAAAAAAAAACE. It was a homerun on every level. First off, the interior is BEAUTIFUL! I was not expecting to walk into a floral-toned garden of plants and parasols. Second, the service. Hot dayum. I was with a party of 8 during a packed weekday lunch hour. We were seated immediately, had our orders taken quickly, and everyone's meals were out within 10-15 minutes. And of course, the star of the show: the food. It was tasty af! I got the panang curry and left that bowl CLEAN. TL;DR - This place was awesome and as far as I know, has been for a while. A close friend recommended this place to me over a year ago and he *rarely* mentions restaurants. It's a good bet it'll continue to be awesome. But you never know. They already get major points with simply how it looks inside. It transport you somewhere else. I loved the green! We came during dinner time without any reservations and were luckily able to get a booth. Our waiter was nice, but he also had a lot of tables! Everything we ate was good, was it like omg best Thai food ever? No but does it hit the spot - YES. Even if the food is 7/8, the drinks were a 10. Also I love places that go with themes, this was the drink for Valentine's Day. The desserts are also worth trying. We loved the Thai crème brûlée and rice pudding It's located in the Merriweather Pavilion- so lots of other restaurants around. Yum, yum, yum! This was a spontaneous outing because our teen requested it. Some of our party had dietary limitations, yet all were able to pick something that was totally tasty. The portions were big so 3 of us brought food home. We also wanted to save room for dessert. Our server was wonderfully attentive and his use of humor was refreshing. Dok Khao was a 5 star experience from start to finish. We walked up and saw it was PACKED - but I was undeterred. We were told there'd be a 30 minute wait, and they texted a link that allowed us to efficiently track where we were in line. The 25 minutes of watching happy diners and busy bartenders ensured our appetites could remain primed and ready. The decor was aesthetically pleasing and well selected, the dining room energy was thrilling, and I can see why so many people opt to have their birthday there! There were so many enticing menu items that we had a hard time choosing, and truth be told - I'd order every single item again. Starters: Bangkok wings, curry puffs, and nam tok. Mains: Lychee Duck Curry special, Pad Ka Pow Desserts: Thai tea crème brûlée, sweet sticky rice with Thai custard I am salivating over everything just writing about it. What a cute space! It's fun and inviting with whimsical decor. The food was delicious! The crab Rangoon filling has texture, not just straight up cream cheese. The mango tea is yummy, not too sweet. The boba could have been softer in my opinion. I also ordered a mango sticky rice to go - which was yummy but the mango wasn't quite ripe, I tend to like it sweeter. Service was quick and attentive. Loved this Thai restaurant, definitely one of my favorites!! The decor of this location was absolutely gorgeous. Our waitress was friendly as well, and we got seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon. The Jungle Lover w/ Tofu was very tasty. Even though we had the spice level as mild, it was definitely more than that (which I enjoyed). The tofu was cooked perfectly and paired well with all of the veggies. The Street Noodles is definitely a new favorite dish of mine. The minced chicken was perfect and the shrimp were flavorful. We got the spice level as medium, but I did not think this was more spicy than the other dish. Next time I will definitely get all the dishes with a higher spice level. Can't wait to try more items on their menu, as well as the drinks and desserts! Would definitely recommend this place. read more

1.2.25 Service Top notch service with attentive servers. Staff took turns attending to us. They came around frequently to check if everything was ok and to see if we needed anything. The servers boxed our leftovers at our table for us. Decor/Ambiance The interior is stunning with elegant and opulent decor. For the holidays the restaurant was adorned with festive decorations including Santa, a Christmas, balloons, gift boxes and garlands. Food My friend, and I ordered the following: -Duck Roll: I ordered based on great reviews, however, was a bit disappointed. It was cold, dry, and overcooked. The Roti and plum sauce may have overpowered the duck. I couldn't really taste it. -Som Tum (papaya salad): My friend ordered this and said it was her favorite of everything we ordered. -Drunken noodle: Initially she thought her dish was going to be dry based on its appearance, but after trying it, said it was really good. -Garlic lover with Beef: Beef was overcooked and chewy. I ordered a side of sticky rice for an up charge of $3. I thought it was hard and dry too. -Chambord Raspberry: My favorite of everything I ordered. It was indulgent and perfection. Wow- I wish I lived here in the DC area because this Thai is so delicious!! We came on a Sunday at 1pm and it was jammed packed. (They told us it would only be a 10-15 mins wait but it took actually around 30-35 mins...). But anyway, once we were seated we ordered and got our appetizer pretty quickly. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken (spicy) and wow, it was spicy! I like spice so I was happy with it but might just get medium spice next time if I don't want too much;). The noodles are nice and thick plus they give a good amount of chicken with the dish. We had plenty of leftovers. My sister really enjoys the Pad Thai (comes out not spicy which is the way she likes it). We also got a couple desserts- the mango sticky rice is perfect because it's not over the top sweet but just the right amount. Our friend got the Thai Tea Crème Brûlée which is quite innovative and was also very good. The ambience is very instagram-y (which is why I was worried the food might not be great) but I was so happy to be in a beautiful atmosphere WITH good food. Always busy and bustling place with tons of flavorful choices. I like Dok Khao as it is in prime location at Merriweather, offers lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and serves awesome drinks. However, it's usually packed and gets harder to get a table for a large family. The inside does not scream Thai at all, the setting is indicative of upscale decor, perfect for business lunches or dates. The service is usually great but kind of tapers off when they are really busy. But they are busy for a reason. Their food is great quality. There hasn't been anything that I have disliked so far in my 5-6 times visiting the store. Drunken noodles are my go-to option as a vegetarian but their basil-eggplant is great as well. My wife always orders the papaya salad as a starter which is a staple for her. I would rate it 4.5 just due to some mix services I've had but otherwise it's a great place to be. read more

Very beautiful decor and ambiance. Food was really good though I was burping it up for a long time afterwards. Had the crispy salmon roll, duck roll (would pass on in the future), Bangkok wings (very tasty sauce & nice crispiness), steak massaman curry with roti (spicy). Different type of roti than I've had before but still good. Of course had to get mango sticky rice which was delicious. read more

Visited Dok Khao for a family birthday and had a wonderful visit! The decor inside is very pretty, with all the florals. It almost feels like a nice tea room. The staff is very friendly! They helped give recommendations on the menu and were quick with service. We started off with the Chicken Satay and Crab Rangoons; both were delicious. I had the Panang Curry, which was SO good! We ended the night with dessert, which was beautifully plated and a great ending to our meal. I know we'll be back again soon! read more
Beautiful restaurant! We sat at the bar to eat. The bartender was so friendly! The food was delicious!! Generous portions and full of flavor! My boyfriend wanted to try his food a little spicier--the bartender brought out 3 different spicy options. Can't wait to go back!! read more
Was in town for the weekend and this was our last day before heading back home, we were craving Asian food and Dok Khao did not disappoint. The restaurant was pretty and packed, service was quick. I wish I had some of that curry soft shell crab right now. read more
Can't believe I haven't heard of this spot until now! The decorations are fun and floral, setting a nice atmosphere for your meal. Drink: Midnight Mermaid: 3/5 came in a fun mermaid glass. Goooosssh their food is AMAZING!! It is on the pricier side but the interior and decor is so beautiful that it feels high end. There is a freaking fountain in the middle for goodness sake! Don't want this to be a $150 meal, can a couple of two get away with dinner, drinks under $100?
Yes, we had $19 pad thai cellophane and $26 crispy basil duck, plus two $15 drinks. With a tip, it was right about $100.
How's Parking near restaurant?
Street parking, depending on the day and time it may be hard to park right in front of the place
Do they have lunch specials during the week?

The do, and I recommend them. We didn't have one and waited 20 minutes (estimate was 30) for a table on a Wednesday night.
So, my gauge of "spicy" is that I devour homemade jalapeño poppers & love "medium" chipotle (not the restaurant) salsa. So how does the Dok Khao Pad Thai, listed as spicy, compare? TIA
I'm pretty sure their spice ranges from level 1 pepper to level 4 pepper on their menu. I got a three pepper spice on my Drunken Noodle and it was plenty hot enough. I would define it like habanero - approaching ghost pepper. I think level four… Read more
