Been here a couple times now since it's convenient but they have the worst service. One cashier, long line, no apology for the wait. I have been coming here for over 10 years. My interaction with a manager, Nena, this morning was very disappointing. My mom came in to get store credit/exchange 5 pairs of socks and ornament clippings. Nena told my mom no returns on seasonal items. The ornament clips, I was completely understanding but the socks? The socks were not in the seasonal section, I was not told when purchasing them that they were seasonal + final sale, and I actually exchanged a few of the socks a few weeks prior. My mom called me to tell me she was told no returns. I asked to speak to the manager over the phone. I asked very nicely for some clarification, and she interrupted me and said, "No returns on seasonal items" and walked away from the phone. She continued to do what she was doing. I drove down to the store to speak to her myself since trying to have a civil conversation over the phone was apparently too much to ask. I approached her and attempted to ask how come the socks could not be returned as they are not seasonal. As I tried to ask, she cut me off to say "they are seasonal ma'am." I went to the sock section and found even more pairs of the socks. Again, i was met with her constantly interrupting me, walking away from me, and helping other people as I tried to talk to her. She would not let me get a word in with her, no if ands or buts. It was the most unprofessional encounter I have EVER experienced. I hope something is done about her behavior so nobody else has to endure the treatment my mom and I endured today. I came in to get some balloons for my little brother's birthday and the cashier refused to help me even after explaining to her that he is autistic and how much the simple gesture would mean to him She didn't want to leave her register to fill up the balloons for me so she decided to just tell me they weren't for sale. As much as I hate to give them two stars. But they are always under staffed the lines can be 15 ppl and still only one cashier.

I filled my cart with items and I don't mind the wait I understand that it's cheap for a reason. My problem is when they don't have a sign on restrooms saying employees only and my dumbass goes and waits 10 minutes for an employee to come out the bathroom just to tell me that the bathroom for customers isn't working and that one is just for employees. She straight up didn't let me enter and I was about to piss myself. I left all my shit cuz I refuse to support an establishment that doesn't let you use their restroom if you've gotta go, its fucking cruel. Do they need more staff? Yes. But I am not blaming the store for this. I came today to say this... The manager is epic. I will call her "Al", because I honestly can't spell her name properly and do not want to be rude. Al is amazing. She is funny, sweet and honestly cares. I need some Halloween items, and she let me know exactly when they would be ready. When I went back today, she handled a very irate customer, extremely well. And by this I mean, a drunk homeless man. She didn't flinch or wavier. And I respected that. She made sure the staff and customers were safe and conducted herself is a very professional manner. This store deals with a lot. No customer service what some ever. That's why this specific location is receiving 3 stars. Sorry, but.. When approaching the register you must knowledge the customer, not just tell what my total is. At any dollar tree, you find everything under $1.00, the store name says it all. You can find great deals on groceries, candy, hygiene stuff, party supplies, birthday cards, kitchenware and even a small selection of clothes/toys. This is little a mini target/walmart you grab stuff you don't need. I love the dollar tree, but.. Why no customer service? Blahhhhhh... This store isn't kept clean either. This is one of the worst Dollar Trees I have been too. They are very messy, low on stock. The workers are very slow and don't care at all. It seems like management allows this behavior. So I guess if you REALLY need to, come here. But try not to, you are likely to spend WAY more time than intended and the cashier is more likely to make mistakes. Today my cashier charged me for a bag when I said I didn't want a bag twice. Then I gave him change, he told me that I would have to wait for management to weigh it, I said that's fine. Went in on Wednesday July 1, 2020 around 2 pm. I have to say the gentleman and lady working on the register where supper friendly and helpful. I got a few balloons and loved the fact that they already have ribbon tie to them. It saves so much time. Very happy with the service that day. There's always something a bit worrisome when you walk into a store and see a security guard posted outside. Unless, of course, you're at some high end store (which obviously Dollar Tree isn't). I came in just to grab some envelopes. Had to kinda stumble around to find them. When I did, I proceeded to checkout where they had only one register open & where the only employee I saw in the store stood. She seemed really content to just take her time with all the checkouts which meant the line moved nice and slowly. When it was finally my turn, the only thing she said to me was "$1.09." Well, you have a good night yourself! I guess if you want cheap stuff, this is the place. Love going to this Dollar Tree store! They have everything you need for just a buck. Why pay $4 for a kitchen sponge when you can buy exactly the same one for $1?! Just yesterday I went shopping for my med cabinet and i bought triple antibiotic, ibuprofen, hydrocortisone, etc. Of course i never forget about my dog, got him a small treat. Just had a cashier (Karina) cuss at her,what I assumed, boss while she was packing my items. The boss approached the cashier while she was packing my items in a bag and Karina cussed at him saying "I don't f****** wanna be here. It's 4pm. Mira...mira..I don't wanna be here!" Karina proceeds to furiously storm away and leaves my items on the counter without finishing up bagging them. When I need to buy gift bags and tissue I go to Target and spend about 3 times more than I could buy at the Dollar Tree Store. No more of that isht! Dollar Tree has plenty of your basic things, including glass dishes, glass cups, utensils, candles, hardware items, cleaning supplies, toys, party supplies, pet supplies and more. The evening of 10/19/2018 I decide to go to dollar tree to get wrapping paper and soap and it turned into a disaster where I was literally the center of attention for the entire store and customers. This is how everything unfolded. I walked into Dollar Tree with my mini backpack which I carry with me everywhere (if you know me). Has all my essentials (wallet, chapstick, gum etc.) The rude cashier guy yells out (as I walk in) and says "hey, put her backpack here." I turn and I say "excuse me, what?" And he repeats him self, but even more louder and acting like he has authority, and says "put.your.back.pack.here." And I give him a look and ask why, and he says "because there is a lot of stealing going and anyone with a backpack needs to put it here." I straight up told him "no, I don't think so," and asked him to call the manager if it's such a big deal. He calls the manager, and I wait a couple minutes and no one comes, so I walk off to find my mom and supplies. Finally about 30 minutes later I get in line to purchase my items. This is not some little line, this is a huge line and I wait a while to get to the front and there is a huge line behind me too. The rude man is the cashier and he is also very rude to the customers right before me. After he completes the transaction it was finally my turn. I put my items forward and he stops and says that he will not ring me up. I ask him why, and he tells me, because I didn't put my bag up front. First off, there were no other backpacks up front, AND there was another lady walking around the store WITH A FREAKEN BACKPACK. So I pointed that out and I requested that he ring me up, which he continued refuse to do. At this point you could say I lost my shit, and actually screamed at him in front of about 25-30 people for not ringing me up. I told him to call the manager, which he had already done earlier and he had still not come out. Obviously the manager is not backing him up in this big deal" either. The customers behind me also start to back me up, and he stands there and continues to refuse to ring me up. I eventually begin to sob because I am not used to people talking to me this way, nor do I always go around screaming at people. This was very embarrassing. When I start crying and can't even speak. The other customers were helpful and continue to back me up as I stood there at the register bawling. The assistant manager finally came and looked shocked at what had happened and the huge line of people waiting. I explain to the manager what happened and he said "I will talk to him." Yeah, right. So anyways I apologized to the customers who were totally backing me up, I bought my items and left. This was by far the worse experience of my life. I have never felt so hurt and victimized at my neighborhood store. I am honestly scared to go back to this store. Thinking about it brings tears and I get anxious. It was a traumatic experience. Note, there is no sign at the store nor any store policy stating you put your "backpack" on the side. If there is a lot of stealing, me leaving my bag up front puts me at risk for getting my items stolen. I stated all of this to the manager and the sales associate. Would the store be liable if my items got stolen? It felt like the sales associate was trying to punish me by not ringing me up when I did not comply to his orders. The assistant manager in Charge at the time was Mario. I did not get the name of the sales associate. I called the next morning to speak to the store manager, and she did nothing to help with what had happened. She was not even sympathetic toward what had happened. In fact she was quiet rude and told me not to call corporate. I still also called corporate and they did not return my call. I am disappointed with Dollar Tree customers service. Honestly worst and most hurtful, discriminating experience of my life. I waited so long to write this review because I expected Dollar Tree to call back with some help. But nope, still nothing. This dollar tree is by far the worst dollar tree location i have ever visited ! I originally loved the dollar tree for their seasonal decor and also their low priced items. I purchased a few items yesterday sept. 25th and today sept. 26th i came back to return extra items i had purchased. I had the receipt with the UNUSED items so i expected that i would have no problems returning my item. Well, i was wrong, the manager vanessa said that they would only accept even exchanges so i mentioned that i the moment there was nothing i needed and i would be okay with store credit. As i mentioned in the beginning, i come to the dollar tree from time to time so store credit would work the same as a refund. She then went to say that they do not do store credit which was NOT written in their return policy ! No where in the return policy does it say you must do an even exchange. The policy says they will take returns with original receipts. Talk about a deceitful policy ! Vanessa then got flustered as i asked to speak to the store manager and i also asked if i could obtain corporate email so that they can see how their policy makes no sense. I know DOLLAR TREE concern here is loosing money but think about this, I CANT USE A DOLLAR TREE GIFT CARD OUTSIDE OF THE DOLLAR TREE ! How do you not provide store credit ?!?!? Vanessa did mention "other stores" do take returns but theirs didn't (for whatever reason) she then called her store manager Araceli who also could not help her customer. She told Vanessa she can put her on speaker so that she could "explain" the policy to me again. Why would a store manager even think that is a good idea ?! I've been involved with retail before and as a MANAGER your job is to provide the upmost customer service ! To assure you can retain your customers and maintain the dollar tree brand. This was the worst experience i will never come to this dollar tree again ! Or ever with their deceitful policies. Wow, Awesome decorations for all occasions. I have to say, I love this place, cheap, affordable, and definitely everything you need for a party. Also, a huge selection of household stuff. Why pay more when you can pay less. I picked up Foil wrap, liquid soap, party trays, Xmas decorations, everything I felt like I'm going to need in the future because I was the first one in the store. I took my time browsed around and dropped it in my cart. They also have helium balloons, but it's a hit or miss because sometimes the tank is empty and you can't get blown up. I'll admit it - I'm a very cheap person. Which is one of the many reason I like this store. It's a one stop shop; you can get just about everything you need in one place. I went here when I was throwing a baby shower and I managed to get all my decorations and cards. (and they were good quality) I also got detergent, toothpaste, soap, chips, and ice cream for my house. All for a buck a piece. The store is clean for the most part, and the parts of the store that aren't clean is a product of customers being too lazy to return items to their correct location. Friendly employees, usually a quick check-out, and amazing deals. I'm a huge fan and recommend this place to everyone. read more

I went on Saturday and did a preorder of ballons and was told by the cashier to take the reciept and they would be ready. Well I sent my daughter to go pick them up Yesterday. She forgot the reciept I thought not much because she had the credit card and they would have checked the transation but nothe cashier she was nice and sent the manager. They tried to work out stuff and ended up calling me and of I talked to the manager and told me there was nothing she could do because she was new. The new mánager Kathy could have been better trained and should have been told by the cashier.
