I love going here but tonight I didn't appreciate the cashier's attitude. I do not mind to pay extra but the attitude ticks me off. I think this store is the same size as other Dollar Trees that I've been to. They definitely keep a lot of their items well stocked; however, there are a few items that I was surprised not to find, such as rubber flip flops. They had a few for small children, but none for adults. They also did not carry flash drives among other electronics that are worth just as much. Although nobody really uses flash drives anymore because of online storage sites, they are useful if you're transferring documents without internet connection. This store always has plenty of parking outside and is very close to other retail stores and restaurants. It is also easily accessible to the freeway. Inside of the store, it is very clean and organized in the same way as other stores with seasonal items sold up front & everyday items, such as office supplies in their respective aisles. They are also open for most of the day. I like how you're bound to find simple things that you need, such as hangers (although I would not trust the quality & taste of the food), for $1!! I've been pretty content with my purchases thus far & will continue to shop at the Dollar Tree if there is something I know I can get here for the same quality, but for only a dollar. Cashier TAJ is the worst ever. Don't stand in her line. You'll end up waiting unnecessarily for piss poor customer service. She literally just said "Well, I ain't in no rush." as the line was building up. Another worker had to open up her register due to her incompetence. This is my go-to Dollar Tree: wide aisles & wide variety of merchandise. Store is typically clean and plus: so are the bathrooms! My favorites: gift bags, ziplock bags, batteries, and greeting cards! They sell a decent selection of cleaning supplies (soaps, disinfectants, brooms, toilet bowl cleaners...). You may wait a while but acknowledge where you're shopping: Dollar Tree. Don't expect Nordstrom's customer service for $1 merchandise. I appreciated Athanasia'a customer service: she greeting while scanning my items, wished me a good day,and separated my purchase correctly (I had different bags for my items). Always nothing to bargain with Dollar Tree! Everything is only 1 dollar! Well, some of the items are not very quality. However, what can u expected for 1 dollar item? Here's are the items I love to shop there: 1. Balloons - I do not eat the balloons and I do not need balloons last forever. Their balloons are much cheaper than Party City. 2. Party supplies- Same thing, much cheaper and I do not need them last forever! 3. Gift bags and gift wrap- ready for our Christmas. 4. Cotton balls and sticks- cheaper than Walgreens or Target. 5. Toothbrushes for travel- I always left them in the hotel. I tried to avoid food but I bought can pineapple once and it was good. I might try something else later. DOLLAR TREE!!!!! Grand opening today. The parking lot was full & the store had plenty of people. So far the place looks clean & nice. This place is in a good location too, close to Kohl's, Target, Babies R Us, Serramonte... There was a lot of variety like many Dollar Trees from food, school supplies, beauty products, party supplies, kitchen ware...I ended up spending less than $10 for a lot of cool stuff. I don't really go to the dollar store but I had to pick up some things for school and my teacher told me it was okay to get dollar store versions. The thing is, yes they provide many things I wouldn't mind using for a dollar but some things are kind of ridiculous. I hardly buy ziplock bags and for a dollar, the most you can get in a box is 16, and for garbage bags it's 9...I don't know how much the ones at Walmart cost for like 100 in a box but I'm sure if I did the math, it would be cheaper to get at Walmart? This location is way better than the El Camino and even the Pacifica location. It's HUUUUUGE and the parking lot is not ridiculous like that of El Camino. Very well laid out and not all claustrophobic like the other 2 locations. Beware, $1 is cheap... but it starts to add up for reals. Totally worth getting table wares here: table cloths, utensils, napkins, plates and even cups for parties, instead of party city. And if you're lucky and get their early enough, they carry seasonal holiday wares too. Helium filled balloons only $1!!! Don't ever buy that stuff at Safeway or Lucky's anymore! And they last a LONG time. We had a balloon floating in our living room for about a month. read more

First off, getting here is weird. When people drive, a lot of them exit the entrance so I have trouble entering the entrance. Read the floor people! I like Dollar Tree. Lots of good deals! Everything is $1. But I have to say that their toliet paper isn't that cheap. $1 for 4 rolls? That's expensive! Some of their stuff is limited supply. For example: I came here looking for cupcake paper holders, but only found the cupcake pan. The next time I went back, no more cupcake pans, but I found cupcake paper holders. If you like it, pick it up and buy it. It might not be there next time. Their Holiday stuff is great! $1! You can make your own costume from supplies in this store! You have to get creative! Christmas cards $1 for 20 (cards + envelopes)! They're pretty cute and/or "grown-up." They're good quality too! So don't spend $5+ on some at the store with the humming bird. Honestly, the recipient usually just throws it away or keep it for the content YOU WROTE inside. *****TIPS******TIPS****TIPS***** Don't get tricked into thinking that everything is cheap (cost wise) just because it is $1. The $1 does stack up! Throw your party on a budget! Get creative! Use some elbow grease! I was so disappointed with this store.! Facing the situation with the Cov-19 virus and the stay in home place situation. Our community center is making essential bag for our most vulnerable people in the community, our seniors. And this Dollar Tree Store didn't let me buy personal cleaning supplies for our seniors. Like mouth wash, body soap, wipes and body lotions. I felt so upset with the manager our who ever wanted to call the manager on April 21st. We end up going to another Dollar store to buy the supplies and they let us buy them. I only give this store one star but because the store was organized. So mad!!!! read more

I came here to this location to shop for supplies for my classroom party for Valentine's Day. This location is big and has lots of art supplies all a dollar each. I was amazed that I got 10 items for only $10.88 I am definitely going to come back here for easter decorations and art supplies. Love shopping here. Always find a great selection of items. Was a little disturbed though with an incident on my last visit. Okay, I'm a senior and respect other seniors but was really upset with the shuttle bus people who are driven there by a senior van who takes these people to shop at this store. I love people of all races and my family consists of many ethnicities. I was appalled at these Caucasian women removing all the black and brown Barbie type dolls and setting all the white Barbie's dolls out on display. They threw the brown and black dolls in another space away from the display. My 3 granddaughter's who were shopping with me are Hispanic beauties (I wish I had their skin coloring). I was so pissed off that these ladies acted in such a racist way and upset my girls. I hope to not shop again when these senior vans are parked near the store. These old ladies should be ashamed of themselves to act like this in a store. Next time I will take pictures of their display of racism! Can't believe that people still act this way! This store is larger than others in the area. Variety is definately eclectic! There are items which make you wonder how they can sell for $1 and others that you would buy at any large chain stores for a little less than $1 when on sale. For the most part it is a great store to shop at and you should take your time because there are so many everyday type items there. There are long lines at peak hours but it is to be expected because we are all trying to stretch our dollars. The employees work hard at getting you out the door quickly, but they are only human. There is a "SHINING STAR" who goes by D!!!! She has been working at this location for a while now. She has so much patience and always has a smile on her face. D goes above and beyond to help anyone find random items, which don't exactly fit into a generic category. If you have the need to find something she is the one to go to. LOVE HER!! Just visited this store and have been here many times. I was looking at a end cap towards the bottom area when bam I'm struck and knocked over by a stocking cart. The woman who was pushing it goes "sorry I didn't see you" then keeps going as I'm getting up from the floor. Totally unprofessional. And at that I hit my elbow and had immediate fingers tingling. I love Dollar Tree. I usually go to the one on El Camino in SSF but today I decided to come to this one in Colma since they sell a shampoo here that they've sold out of in SSF. Sadly, they were out of it. I did my normal shopping as usual here which consists of buying stuff I don't need as always but heck, it's $1 so why not? First off, I find that this one is a little messier and noticed outside that there were just carts EVERYWHERE. This wind has been crazy!! I was scared that those things would ding my car. I should've taken a picture. It was ridiculous. But I didn't think I'd end up writing a review about this place so that's why I didn't bother taking a picture. And then I got to the register.... Before me were 2 older Asian women, who wanted to get rid of their loose change in their purses because they were getting heavy. Upon leaving, Anastasia (mid 40s, dark hair), a cashier at the Dollar Tree in Colma, made a racist remark about "Chinese people" always giving her a hard time, to a customer in line behind me as she was scanning my items. She said twice, "It's always those Chinese people", and "Fire me already". I found this very offensive. This is not something you should say in front of customers, let alone complain to other customers about it. If you don't like your job, then quit!! Does not seem like the manager or any of the other employees in this store care either, as they were all using swear words (shit, I'm all for that but I'd never use that language with a customer), were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and constantly on their cell phones. Would not come back here again. TERRIBLE customer service. Not necessarily with myself but what I witnessed made me never want to give them my service again. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this location. They lost my online order of decorations that I needed for my baby shower. I don't know how they did, but they did. I went to the store on multiple occasions from the time I got the email that my order was ready for pickup until the last day that I would be able to pick it up, as well as called numerous times trying to figure out how an order could get lost, only to be told that there was nothing they could do about it. How does a store lose twelve 18-inch white Christmas trees that were to be picked up by one person? There were supposed to be twelve of them. They told me that they could not find my order and that I would just have to call. Well, I called for three days and was told the exact same thing. Nobody could help me, nobody even really tried to help me. All they could say was, "We are busy, we can call you back later," or, "I will tell the manager and give you a call back." Nothing. The customer service helpline is no better. I have not heard a word from them either. I had to purchase these items again from a different Dollar Tree location. All in all, the customer service at this location is terrible, which is a shame because you really cannot beat the price of the items you need. read more

I've been to a lot of dollar stores in my lifetime. But this one is totally organized, well-marked, and decently-sized aisles! The lines are a bit slow but service is good. Prices....well, $1.00 is unmarked, otherwise, priced as marked. ;-) Yes, it's cheap, but it's easy to add 1+1+1+1+..........and pretty soon you'll have spent about $8.00 when all one needed was a pack of pens. hahaha read more

TERRIBLE customer service! I bought some picture frames and when I got to my car I realized one of the frames had broken glass. The receipt says no refunds, only exchanges, so I went to the store and got a frame like it (and some other items). When I went to make the exchange the manager on duty, Maria, refused to exchange it because it was broken. I agreed and told her that was why I was exchanging it. She said they do not take broken items. I reminded her the receipt, which I had, only said item has to be unopened and exchanged with the original receipt. She could not have been more rude and was unwilling to exchange this. I will NOT go back there. I will pay more for items in order to get good customer service. Just because a store sells inexpensive items doesn't mean they get to skimp on customer service!!!! read more

This is a great place to get presents, and then wrap them up in old Nordstrom boxes so they don't know you got it at the Dollar Tree. Just kidding, I don't get anyone presents. Ever. Yeah No. This place makes Target look like Neiman Marcus. First of all, the parking lot and building are sad, dirty, and dingy. The store smells like mold. Between the bad air and generally dilapidated feel of the place, it seemed unhealthy just to be there. The stuff is all off-brand and made in China, which I can only imagine means it leaches chemicals you wouldn't want near you. The line to check out was out the door. I have to say JP is on top of it! I arrived before closing and had to get 21 balloons. (I know its difficult when a customer comes in last minute...sorry.) Anyways, he quickly got our order ready and made sure I wasn't tangled up when I got to the register. Because it was closing time, I tried to get myself out asap. When I got outside, it was so windy. Seemed like there were 1-2 balloons that kept flying out. He knew I would have trouble so as soon as he saw me struggling, he was right there to give me a hand. There are other "dollar stores" out there where they sell things that are $1 and up. I hate places like those because they trick you with their low starting prices, and work their way up. However, Dollar Tree is not like that. It is indeed the real deal. Everything is one dollar or LESS. There are no gimmicks and shenanigans here my friends. They sell crafting supplies, toys, snacks, canned foods, frozen foods, car items, bathroom supplies, and much, much more. This place is always fun to explore. I purchased some stuff online and had to pick them up in store. When I get to the store, I saw two staff - one counting money and the other one was standing next to the other. I tried to get their attention but no response. Only when I said "excuse me but is there a manager I can talk to?" that they managed to look at me and acknowledge my presence. The lady standing next to the one counting money said "that would be me, how can I help you?" I told her that I am there to pick up my online purchase and that I tried getting their attention. The manager conveniently said, "well you did not say anything. I need to finish this and I will help you" with an attitude. Well, I am not taking my business to this store anymore. I'm so glad Dollar Tree opened up a location here. It's so much more convenient for me cuz I can go to Target or Kohl's nearby. Some things I am amazed I can get it for $1. The only dollar stores in the area are the one in San Bruno and this one in Colma. I love this dollar tree better, the selection is HUGE. They include a lot of things the San Bruno one doesn't. I love coming here to buy raffle prizes or small gifts. I love the 2 for $1 cards!! The BEST! I also like the different wrapping paper they have, you can find some really good ones. They offer decent school supplies as well, of course you can't expect the best. I don't know if I would trust the food in there....nor the beauty products... This place just opened up the other day. It's ginormous! They have a freezer section as well which is nice. Great place to pick up party supplies for sure, kitchen supplies, sundries, and things you just want because it's a dollar! Typical Dollar Tree where everyone working seems super pissed off and annoyed that you are shopping there. *EDIT (this proves I have nothing better to do): I contacted the company about not taking MasterCards and got this, "In an effort to continue offering our customers maximum value at the $1 price point, we no longer accept MasterCard credit cards in the majority of our stores. However, a MasterCard branded card can be used as a debit in all stores. I apologize for the inconvenience." However, I went to another Dollar Tree down South and they took my MC no problem lol. --------------------------- I went to a Dollar Tree for the first time in nearly a decade and was pleasantly surprised with their selection. They had some name brand, as well as generic, items for sale at the very reasonable price of $1.00. This is the American "Daiso" or "Ichibankan" I thought happily while perusing the aisles for a good half hour. I found some nice stuff that I really wanted and stood in line and waited patiently. When it was my turn I was rung up and readily slid my credit card through the terminal. Surprise! They don't take MasterCard. WTF.
