Used to shop here. But now I avoid it. The last three times I went in customers and staff were talking about their illegal or unethical escapades. The store isn't very clean dirty, unkept and poorly organized. Nothing is a dollar anymore. Half the store could be bought for less through Temu or SHEIN. I've had to explain math to cashiers. Every time I stop by at 9 a.m. there is a note on the door saying the store is closed do to a problem. This has happened at least 5 times.

It is a dollar store but incredibly convenient and has great seasonal items. The best place to order helium balloons around. I have ordered dozens for dance decorations and they were ready at the time requested and bundled for transportation to event in my SUV. You never know what treasure you will find here, you just need to look around. read more

This is my preferred dollar tree location. The store is normally very clean and the shelves are stocked. Unfortunately a lot of the cashiers can be very unprofessional. They often curse and carry on inappropriate conversations in front of customers. I like to buy seasonal items, classroom supplies,and classroom decorations out of here . Sometimes I am able to find lots of hair accessories and nail supplies . read more

I don't know what it is about Dollar Tree employees or maybe it's just this area but the cashiers are the worst cashiers I've ever dealt with. While stopping in today to pick up a few things the lady behind the counter was much more interested in talking with her co-workers about a Bulls game and playing with her phone than doing her job. I was using a credit card and all she had to do was press 1 button but nope I just stood there until she felt it was time to finally do her job. Also, she never said a word to me, no "hello", no "have a good day", nothing. Very, very poor customer service. read more

Very unprofessional location.. This includes the management, the cleanliness of the establishment, as well as how they treat their employees & customers.. Was very disgusted, especially by the woman they choose to call their store manager here. One of my favorite Dollar Trees. Always smells and looks clean, very organized, and nice staff.

This was my first time coming to this location after shopping at other locations. This is one of the few that is actually clean and organized some of the Dollar Tree locations I have gone to have been dirty nasty and the clientele that comes in are ghetto. This one is in a good location because Hazelcrest is a nice suburb with a fairly decent clientele that are working class and live within a certain income level. It's situated in a strip mall so you're within a short distance of Jewel-Osco and other stores which is a good thing for those people who live in the nearby apartments to walk to this store. read more

So I went into this particular Dollar Tree on this weekend that just passed to inquire about having some balloons blown up for a gender reveal, and the assistant manager was an African American middle aged , fair skinned male, with thinning hair at the top who was VERY, VERY, rude to myself and my daughter while we were attempting to get his attention. As we were trying to ask him a question he felt that it was ok NOT to only walk away from my daughter and I, but to also let us know that he was going on his break at 10A in the morning??????? The store just opened. He then told us that we needed to have masks on which I definitely have NO issue with but literally forgot them in the car and as I was attempting to let him know that I would go back out and grab my mask , he kept cutting me off, pointing his fingers in my direction, all while walking away with a hand full of Junk food because he was going on his "break" at 10a on a Saturday. I then had to literally ask him who do I need to speak to to get my issue resolved, he then pointed to a young lady who was working in the isles and had THEE nerve to tell my daughter and I here this is who can help you because I am going on break letting us know for about the 5th or 6th time about his break at 10A in the morning. I was directed to the main supervisor in the store as she too was working in one of the isles. I explained to her how disrespectful her employee was to my daughter and I and she agreed and said that she would definitely have a talk with him about his inappropriate behavior. I thanked her for that but I also feel like that guy should NEVER work with the public because of his poor attitude and his abnormal behavior . A simple question that would have taken him all of of 5 seconds to answer turned into a 20 minute conversation because he refused to stop walking towards the back while we were trying to address him all while letting us know that he was on his "break". I really think he should be terminated because he has NO customer representative skills all while making the company look bad. read more
