I been coming to this pizza place since 1995. I like the Mexican pizza. Unfortunately this pizza has not delivered for the last two times I've been at this place. I recently got a pepperoni pizza. The flavor. Was generic. What frustrates me the most is that the pepperoni for the cheese is release releasing that yellow oil. To me the yellow oil suggest more that the cheese is not 100% mike cheese but some type of vegetable oil cheese. They sold me a can of soda that is a month old. It's too bad that this place has gone down and quality. It's best to go to one of those pizza places that you build your pizza and you'll have a better experience and taste. read more

By far one of the best Italian food-feasting places I've ever been to. Teresa is absolutely amazing as she and her staff were very warm, personal, and attentive. I ate so many different things I coulnd't even begin to tell you. I simply asked her to bring stuff for me to try. If you want a really great Italian food place to eat I highly recommend Dominic's Pizza House on Avalon Boulevard in Carson California. It's very very good I especially enjoyed their lasagna and their spaghetti and also my sister used to love to get pizza there from Dominic's their pizza is also really good too. Small, family owned restaurant with good food at a very decent price. Portion sizes are more than adequate, I ordered a meatball sandwich which cost $8.00 and was about twice the size of a comparably priced sandwich at most other restaurants. Wife got the Eggplant Parm and it was fresh, tender and like my meatball sandwich quite generous on the portion size. (Portions were large enough that the wife and I took 1/2 home and we both had enough for dinner) The service was quick and attentive. The atmosphere is more of a family dining room than an impersonal restaurant, will need to make another visit so we can try some other items on the menu. The food is AMAZING! Omg I love the pizza and the cheese Bread so good and love that it's never packed but I hope they get lots of business cause I would hate to see it ever close. The service is so great the guy is very attentive. Although the lady that is their older lady took our order she seemed to mean well but wanted us to move due to the a/c hitting directly to the four of us which included 2 kids 2 adults and we were fine we told her we were ok that it would be fine and she touched my husbands shoulder/ arm to see if he was cold lol and as we told her we were fine again and then she went to the back told the other people she worked with and shut off the air so it got warm in there after and I guess after a while they felt warm and turned it back on. I have been coming to this place for literally the last 50 years. I drove here from Anaheim today. Long drive but totally worth it. I love the house salad. I've been going to Dominick's since I had teeth to eat pizza. If you're looking for the neighborhood pizza parlor where your consistent patronism is repaid with a friendly recognition of frequency, look no further. The environment is dark yet cozy as evidenced by the dark red drink glasses and candle-lit tables. There is also an area for groups if you're planning a get together. The dining area is lined with a periphery of booths with open tables in the center. I think it's a good date place if you have the skills to pull this off with a date who is laid back and enjoys the low-key, hidden, neighborhood pizza parlor. If you pick her up and she's wearing heels, you'd better head for the coastal city restaurants. I ordered the "Special Supreme" pizza which was delicious. Know that the crust is thick and the toppings piled high; eating this with a knife and fork is not uncommon. There was an appropriate mix of each of the toppings to give the pie a robust flavor that was not over-powered by too much of one ingredient. The base red sauce had a hint of acidity to it that complimented the flavor of the cheese quite well. Great, overall. This is one of my favorite pies in the South Bay area, IF you are looking for a hearty version with overflowing toppings and thick crust. Don't expect the larger but thin-type NY style pizza here. Go somewhere else for that! The pies here need a plate, not a napkin. What can I say about this landmark in the city of Carson. For years Dominick's has been in the city of Carson and at the same location for as long as I can remember. I love this place. You can order basic pizza to some of the best and most creative pizzas I've ever had. The prices are right around what you normally would pay for a very good pizza. When you look at it from outside it looks crappy, HOWEVER looks are deceiving. Inside it is very mom and pop-ish, because it is. The workers seem as though they could care less about you but my gosh the food! The price is pretty low for the taste of their delicious food! The cheese bread is a must! Their pizza is the best around, especially with their Parmesan cheese and crushed peppers. But I gave it a 4 out of 5 only because I have noticed they changed their recipe each time I visit because it doesn't taste the same anymore. I guess it just depends on when you go. Man, oh man! One of the BEST pizza joints around! Probably my second favorite pizza place! The antipasto salad is really good also, I highly recommend it with your pizza. I only have two gripes. One is that the bathroom's are tiny (The men's one anyway) Now I'm not a little guy but I'm not obese either. I have to maneuver sideways in the bathroom because it's so tight. But that's minimal. Second, now this is more a matter of taste. I love me pizza sauce on my pizza. They seem to skimp a little on the pizza sauce so you might want to ask for extra sauce on your pizza. This place has been delishhhhh since I can remember. It had been a while since I last came. Today was as expected delish. We had the salad great taste mouth watering. The pizza we had pepperoni pizza and the sausage, fabulous taste, super chesse smell was fantastic, also great service. Very fast service. My only complaint is. When It was time to pay we did not notice for a party of 5 the tip wAs included %15 so when the guy came with his computer to our table he asked if we would like to leAve a tip. And of course we said yes and gave 18%. Once we left I looked at the bill and seen we had double tipped. Yes I should have looked at my bill before I paid. I'm a big fan of Domenick's Pizza. I judge all pizza by this. I also like their meat and cheese salad. There house dressing is wonderful. I would also like to highly recommend the baked chicken. It could be considered two meals for some, but not me. I was always curious about this place and I wanted to try it out. So today I gave in to my cravings and stopped by. They have their own parking lot which is cool. I walked in and i saw one table out of many being used, at the moment i thought 'oh no what if the food sucks'. The waiter came up to me and my sister and offered us a seat, real polite young man. I told him I wanted to order togo, so he handed me a menu. I was curious about their pizza, its pricier than your average pizza joint but it's not a franchise so I know there had to be something different about it. I ordered the 'Domenicks Speacialty Pizza' which cones with: pepperoni, sausage, onion, bell pepper. Mushroom. Black olives, and cheese. Sounds pretty good right??? I paid $25 for a large. The wait time was very reasonable and the staff was polite and professional. I picked up the box and it was HEAVY, right away i thought it was pure bread, like BJ's Pizza. I took it home and it was a HUGE pizza. I mean it had alot of each topping. I was definitely not expecting that. I've never been able to find a pizza place that does this. Normally they sprinkle the toppings. I had to hold a slice with 2 hands. It was amazing, cooked perfectly. I had 3 slices and i was stuffed!! I am definitely coming back. I've been going here since I was a kid with my family, when it came to those pizza nights with them, oh we were all excited for Domenick's. Half the time we ordered multiple pizzas, and there were absolutely zero complaints. We cleaned our plates, crust and all unlike other pizza joints. This place has never screwed up any of my orders, and over the years all the other places have made mistakes. Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself with that, but yeah, this place is solid and has some good spaghetti as well. This place has been here as long as I can remember and I'm old. lol My fav is the linguine and clams. One serving will feed me for three or four days. The pizza is totally amazeballs! Very family and the same family has owns the place since the 50 or 60 (I think). The submarine sandwiches cannot be beat. I always get extra seasoning sauce for the subs and soak the (fresh and wonderful) rolls they use for the subs. It is not uncommon to see the place with a table full of a little league team or many officers. Just a real home feeling and smell. I love them! read more

By far the best pizza and salads i've ever had. Grew up nearby and lived off Dominick's growing up but moved north to the bay area nearly 20 years ago and have yet to find a pizza and pasta shop that comes even close to what Dominick's offers. If only they delivered in a 400+ mile range. read more

The first time I came here everything was great. It was just me and my husband, the service was fast and courteous and the food was really tasty. So of course I would recommend this place to my family...right? Well I came here with my family some time later and I don't know what was going on with that waitress. She had the worst attitude I've ever gotten from a waitress. There was a few other servers who assisted us who were nice and so we tipped big, but that one waitress would give us the nastiest looks I've ever gotten from someone I don't know! Now, I'm not some princess who has to be waited on hand and foot. I'm fine if you just take my order, toss us the food and walk away only to sometimes get refills. So I decided to give this place a third try. The food was pretty good, so a little bad service could be dealt with. Sooooo I went back. This time with my mom and her boyfriend and my brother and my adorable little niece. I get there with my mom and her boyfriend and right off the bat you could see that the waitress was angry at us. I have no idea why! We ordered and the whole time she is just short and rude. We're okay with this. We just decide to take it out of her tip. My brother shows up with his daughter and is standing near the table as we all fawn over my niece. The waitress brings us our drinks while I'm holding my niece on the table. She looks and me, then looks at my niece like I was holding a bucket of mud up on the table. Absolutely disgusted. My brother had moved out of her way so that she could put down the drinks and as she turns around she accidentally runs into him. She looks up into his face and kind of gives this rude snort sound. My brother didn't even know what to say. He had just gotten there. Why would she be mad at him? Needless to say we left. That's how bad it was. We didn't wait for our food to take it out of her tip. We just left. Orders made and drinks still on the table. This has never happened before! So congratulations Dominick's, your service was the only service that could make us walk out. read more

I just called for the first time to order a pizza for delivery (I didn't know they didn't deliver) so when I asked if I could order a pizza for delivery, the woman who answered said, "we don't deliver, if you want delivery call Domino's" and HUNG UP ON ME. I could not believe it! I would've been more than happy to drive the 7 minutes to pick it up had I been given the option. When I called back to ask (I honestly thought it was a mistake) the same woman answered, said she was the owner, and told me she tells everyone that. I WILL NEVER ORDER OR EAT AT THIS PLACE. It is Christmas Eve, at 5pm, and I CANNOT believe this establishment would treat patrons (or people for that manner) so unbelievably rude and disrespectfully. Real cool pizza place, its up in the cut at the end of carson, plenty of parking. The staff is real nice, the inside has a true pizza parlor feel to it. The pizza that they make tastes better than most. Its not salty and not real greazy, its easy on the stomach. I am a regular at Domenick's. I usually go for lunch and order the "chicken". The best chicken dish in the world! It's sauteed in tons of garlic, mushrooms, lemon and olive oil with a grilled/carmelized onion to top it off. It's served with soup or salad (the italian dressing is the best, you just can't breathe on anyone for the rest of the day...if you want to avoid people, it can be a good thing), pasta and garlic bread. The portions are huge! Most of my friends take half to go. I can pretty much chow down the whole thing....it's that good! read more

Walked in with a party of 7, right away the workers rolled their eyes and looked bothered to put tables together to accommodate my party. Ordered a liter of Pepsi, completely flat. The soda had no carbonation, so we got a pink lemonade. The salad dressing was so sour it felt like it was dissolving our teeth. The salad in general was just a pile of lettuce. The pizza was half burnt, how do you burn only half a pizza? We were supposed to get mostaccioli with our pizza as the side dish, they gave us spaghetti when the menu clearly said mostaccioli. We asked about it and they gave attitude and discouraged getting the mostaccioli, so we got stuck with spaghetti that tasted like canned tomato sauce. I had to ask for napkins twice because they ignored or forgot about my request. The bathroom had been sketchy looking and dirty. They tried to make us put our pizzas that clearly didn't fit together in boxes to go, she even checked the already closed pizza to go box to try and cram the pizzas together when we had already asked for another box. They hadn't even checked up on how we were doing until the very end and were super fast to clear our tables to rush us to leave. We didn't even want to give a tip but of course a bill over $100 forces us to tip their horrible service. They even tried to make us tip twice and were mad when we declined. If you're eating there, be prepared to be ignored, and when you request a booth there are only 4 available, but taken, and the rest (3-4)are "reserved" but nobody shows up for the half hour you wait for one.
