This has been a family favorite since I was little. I have had my "birthday dinners" here several times and the staff is so fun. They will sing to you, they may put whipped cream on your nose, and take your picture, and hey! You get free dessert! the Chicken Salad is my favorite, followed closely by their flautas! The ranch dressing is the best ranch in town. Everything I've ordered has been great, and the staff is always so friendly and warm. ****Just a heads up, they do not take Restaurant.com gift certificates anymore (even though they are still available for purchase at the restaurant.com website).**** My husband and I came in for lunch, and our service was prompt, extremely attentive, and more importantly our food was delicious! Neither one of us had been there in almost ten years but the food was much better & fresher than we remember. I had the burrito Verde plate with a salad & loved that the chile verde inside the burrito was not spicy at all (which makes me happy because I can't handle spicy food.... table pepper is too hot for me). My husband had the burrito al pastor plate with a salad and it was filled with tender beef, and topped with pico de gallo, guacamole & cheese (not gonna lie, it looked prettier than mine) haha. Both of our salads had some of the FRESHEST lettuce we can remember having in a long time.... It seemed like they must have JUST cut the lettuce or something. It was awesome! Overall, we really enjoyed our meals, and polished it all off with desert. Had the 2 crab taco dinner plate (with beans & rice), was ok, nothing outstanding, $13.00. Three dinners and one margarita, one beer and one pepsi.... $45.00... Service was fairly fast, except a couple next to us came in after us and got their dinner before us. Overall this place is OK but just does not standout as an exceptional place. Parking is shared with other businesses in a tightly packed mini-mall. No view out of windows except a parking lot or busy street. No bill service from table, must go to front entrance to pay bill and wait in line which interferes with people entering waiting to be seated. read more

The food here was ahhh, OK, but not nearly as good as the location in Boron. The menus are the same but the food is not. Maybe its because Domingo is always present at the Boron location, I dont know. The salsa here had too much lime in it, the meatball soup tasted alot sweeter, the meals were smaller and didnt taste as good as the one in Boron. read more

This is a really good place. The salsa is pretty good. I had the Carnitas Burritos and it was super delicious. A friend had the Chicken Fajitas and he really enjoyed it. It came out on a sizzling skillet like hey look what I ordered. Had some kind of shrimp/octopus/avocado/salsa thing as per a suggestion from a friend and it was really good. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is they don't de-vein the shrimp but still had to eat it to try it out. read more

Domingo's was great at the rich food. I was rooted at a seat with my dad before he took his cup of numbing water and drank in the summerside. A worker could be true for giving something timely, so where the crew might escort responsibility, there wasn't a false beginning of progress for dad and I since our forks didn't have to lead us to confusion although employees disappeared between doors like their exchange of handling was an act of defense, professionalism, and entertainment. One waiter who helped both dad and I dreamed on of a busy crowd under the roof while signs glowed neon or lurked in the shadows on the basis of meals and forgotten receipts, when Earth moved all around us during happy hours. It was a mad deal. We basically forgot what chile verde happened to be more delicious than and I ate until dad was glad and stirred from the noise and commotion, under greetings between us and the workers through food, Mexican plates, and time-sharing action along the lines of Carne Tampique and cultural goods. Despite hints below radar or spices from tears by their presentation my whole family was closed in on satisfaction, even close to a bar with drinks and costly appetizers before desserts got recognized against the barge with dinner as a heated subject for drivers and diners alike. While my attention of dad's character probably suggested boredom to the cashier at the front the restaurant was luring in patrons with as much interest in handled tacos, marinated steak, and wild salsa and quietly disturbed the atmosphere on so much determination to be counted on. So what was less of a decision when guarantee marked the spot inside a clean atmosphere on more songs to TV near comfort food, or was I foolish enough to recommend a painting to mom while the ambiance left the wide, expanded rooms comfortable and honeycombed to excellence? Perhaps mom and dad brought choice meals home in styrofoam containers not only for privilege but also improvement for which the crew's smooth, healthy attitude revealed more than what was priced on a general process of cooking and Mexican cuisine. Everything seemed light and important. Constant elements of harmony rang throughout the scenery as waiters improved chips with salsa and black-and-gold containers, not to mention the rhythm and quality of a dinner salad as it sat on my table to invite the hunger in addition to positive theories. As stated, Domingo's was proper in their promotion of tastes and we went home as happy as we could be since bacon got eaten between us, covering my steak (Carne Tampique) just like the mushrooms and beans added to my day on a high note. read more

Absolutely delicious! Hubby and I snagged a booth a few days ago and we were so glad we did. He's been here befor but it was my first time and WOW- so so good I ordered the B14 and was really impressed, the meat was perfect and not dry like a lot of Mexican places I've been. The whole taco in general was just a mouth orgasim!! The service was great and the owner came up to check in twice Fresh hot chips and great salsa at the table and our server was attentive and kind. Domingos used to be the go to place in Tehachapi for Mexican. I know the pandemic hit restaurants hard but they are sub par now. They now bring you small white cardboard tray of chips - and there were 3 of us. They actually refilled it (had to ask) but the chips were not fresh and hot like they used to be when they would bring a nice basket full. The chicken fajitas used to be strips of chicken breast - now was a ton of vegetables and a few measly pierces of chicken (did appear to still be chicken breast). It would come to your table sizzling hot and appealing, Not this time. The little chicken pieces were dried out and obviously reheated. The guacamole was the worst thing - almost entirely tomato's with onions and little avocado. The wait staff was lackluster actually sitting at bar while we tried to get their attention. Was going to get drinks but after tasting the watered down Pepsi decided not to risk it. I feel bad if this is still the old owners and family as they are slowly going out of business. Not too late to turn this place around - back to the gem it was when served great food with friendly attentive service. Very hard to see the decline and hope owners can bring back what was a great restaurant. read more

We love Domingo's in Tehachapi. Their food is excellent & always consistent. The staff is friendly & the service amazingly fast. They have a nice happy hour too. We love the fajitas to share & the salads & albondigas soup are fresh & delicious. Domingo's is a local favorite & you cannot go wrong. They are open 7 days a week & many of the servers have worked there for years, which says a lot in my opinion. They also serve a number of Mexican seafood dishes which are very popular & of course the chips are bottomless. read more

I really, really like this place. Great food, al a carte or not, it's all good. Also a good selection of beer. I have to laugh if one chooses draft, one can order 16 oz or 22 oz. Nice. I would have to say that the best thing about this restaurant is that the wait staff is amazing. I have come here with my family many times and every time the wait staff is friendly and quick. I also loved that my drink was always full! My favorite dish is the enchiladas. They taste delicious and the ingredients are obviously so fresh. The sauce is rich with flavor! The only reason I gave it less stars than five is because the menu is very stereotypical, not very much variety. Overall I would recommend this place. read more

It is my understanding that they recently changed hands. Whether true or not, they have totally lost their luster. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, about the dining experience was totally unremarkable. If you want bland, nearly tasteless Americanized Mexican food, this might be the place for you but, if you want anything with any heat, spice, flavor or authenticity, this is not. Plus, in the remodel, they seem to have painted over some wall murals that previously gave the place some character. First, was the tasteless, oily, and limp (with no crispness or snap) tortilla chips. I'd say they were stale, but perhaps it was just the oiliness and lack of flavor that made that impression. Not even a healthy dose of salt could save them. Previously, their salsa was "spicy hot" with excellent flavor and zing. This time, even my wife who doesn't like things quite as spicy as me found the salsa to be boring and bland. Next, was the totally uninspiring iceberg lettuce salad with, in my case, a totally boring Thousand Island dressing. No zing, no flavor, just nothing redeeming about the dressing or the salad. I had the Crab Enchiladas which again, while edible, were just simply uninspiring. No spice or seasoning flavor and virtually no crab flavor. A companion in our party had the Shrimp Enchiladas and had pretty much the same opinion of her dish. If you're going to call yourself a "Mexican & Seafood Restaurant", this should be be basic. My wife has always liked the Fajitas at Domingo's better than at the other Mexican restaurants in town and, though they were flavorful (I tired them as well) they did not live up to their previous quality and she was disappointed. There were seven of us in our party and we were all of the same opinion that the food was just plain....well....PLAIN. I don't make these comments to be cruel, but maybe to light a fire under someone to do something different to once again make them something special. read more

Where to begin, the waiter definitely had some questionable techniques when waiting our table on maintaining customer service. Either it was his shift end and our timing was off, he was going through serious personal matters, or he may have pre judged our group and assumed we were not worth his time. Hard to tell, all we know is we left feeling unwelcome, and will never return. Here's a telltale sign it's not a Mexican restaurant by the way....no horchata. The food was ok, nothing worth writing about, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. The beans were the only memorable portion of the meal, and they were throw away items, not the main course. 87.00$ dollars I will never get back, but well worth the lesson! I will say this, to the waiters benefit, he did show some character though, when he was serving the other "brighter" tables, and when he was pushing the alcoholic beverages, strictly text book business. This place will never hold a candle to the Domingoes that popped up in Lancaster, sadly that place is no more, hopefully this place shortly follows. We live locally and go here a couple of times a month. We always get great service here and the place is clean and well managed. The food is okay, nothing spectacular, but good solid Mexican food. Prices are reasonable about $8-10 for a combo plate with 1-3 selections (enchilada, taco, burrito, flauta, taquito, etc) and rice, beans and salad or albondigas soup. I thought the drink prices were a little high, but I'm a cheapo when it comes to drinks, so maybe that's just the price they are in 2010! lol. We loved when they had the daily lunch buffet and I've heard that they added it back a couple of days a week, but haven't been back to lunch since then. Salsa is good. I will start by saying that I am a lover of Mexican food, so I am pretty particular when I go to a Mexican restaurant. First off, we were greeted and seated fairly quickly. We asked for a booth and they accommodated. We were given chips and salsa to start. The salsa was pretty bland and the chips were just your average chips. The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But, the kitchen seemed to be running a little slow when we went. We waited a longer than expected time for our food. But, the wait staff kept bringing up more chips so it made the wait more bearable. I ordered the chili verde burrito. I am not a huge spicy fan, but enjoy it when it comes to chili verde. My wife and I always come up here to eat when we go to church in Tehachapi. Again we were not disappointed. I had chicken tacos with rice and the chicken was unbelievably good. Used to be the place to go in town 20 years ago. Business has changed hands twice that I know of. Food is o.k. not great. They make great margaritas. I sat at the bar and ate there. The chips and salsa were free with the meal so I asked to have them to go instead of eating them at that time and was charged with a to go order for them. Did not know until I left since it went on a credit card. The owner was the one that served me... not impressed. Had a taco salad that was more of a soup, seems they didn't drain the ground beef. I've had good and bad experiences there over the years but the new owner doesn't seem to know what real customer service is. read more
