Absolutely Delicious Pizza - Worth Every Penny! I had an amazing experience at this spot! From the moment I walked in, the two guys working (I think they were the owners) were super welcoming and friendly. Even though I didn't leave a tip--only because I didn't have any cash and didn't realize Yelp had already charged my account--they were completely unbothered and just all-around good vibes. Now let's talk about the pizza I got the white pie with spinach, ricotta, and mushrooms -- and WOW. So much flavor, loaded with cheese, and baked to perfection. It looked just as good as it tasted. We also grabbed an 18" Meat Lovers and it's HUGE -- we're definitely set for leftovers the next couple of days, and honestly, I'm not mad about it. Every bite is totally worth it. Lunch special, two slices, a drink less then $9. My spinach feta and tomato pizza was delicious. It was hot, with a great chew and a fantastic undercarriage. I had dined in several times a couple years ago, but since COVID I have been ordering togo --the quality of the food isn't as great as it use to be. Last time I ordered a chicken Alfredo with my large pizza, but they had forgotten the chicken. It was also my fault I didn't check my food before leaving, but I didn't feel like unpacking the food just to check it inside the restaurant during COVID. I didn't even bother to call to let them know because I was not going to drive back. Their pizza dough has a crunchy but chewy texture (just like how NY pizza should be). They do offer lunch specials every day which seems to be the cheap popular deal everyone comes in for. Some of the prices of certain things have doubled over the years (ex: cheesecake) but again, I can understand due to COVID. They offer limited dine-in seating right now and there's outdoor tables by the little water fountain pond. It is pretty dark inside and the vibe just isn't the same as it use to be. read more

Took my family there for dinner yesterday. My son always gets me to order domino's and domino's sux. I told him I'll take him to get some real pizza. He also has egg allergy but the guy working said they don't put eggs in their dough. Lemme tell you that pizza was bussin! So good and the sauce was delicious as well. We got to sit outside and enjoy the weather because it started raining right when we finished. I also have a 6 year old with severe autism so the atmosphere was great for him. Great tasting independent pizza establishment with friendly, quick service and a smile. The owner/GM is a likeable guy that makes effortless casual conversation. Place is clean and well kept with a unique fun mural all along the counters and walls. Their pizza is my #1 pick and the same cost as major national brands but with 10x the flavor. I'll pick Dominic's over others even if I have to get it delivered with Doordash. I come here a few times a month and quality and service is always on point. The 2 slices special is a really good value and is what I most often order. Hot, cheesy, New York Pizza done just right! Went to Dominic's on Sunday evening to get some pizza. We decided to dine-in. Our total came to $41.71 which included (2) 12 inch pizzas and 3 bottled soft drinks. We chose the bottled drinks because a majority of the self serve fountain drinks were out of order. The bottled drinks were a bit warm even though they were in a refrigerated cooler. After paying, we proceeded to sit and wait for our pizza. The tables weren't clean. We were the only dine-in patrons in the place. I guess preparing numerous Doordash orders were more important than us because we waited more than 30 minutes for our food. The guy at the counter then came and gave us some free garlic knots because they hadn't even started to make our pizzas. That was okay, but that was not what I wanted. I wanted my pizza in a timely manner. The pizza weren't even good. After a few bites, I didn't feel well. We won't be coming back to eat at this place again. read more

This place was really good! They have an awesome special: 2 slices (which are HUGE) with one topping, and a fountain drink for $6.99. I got a cheese and a pepperoni slice and my husband got the Stromboli. Everything was fabulous and fresh. My pizza crust was cooked to perfection! Nice and crispy but not too doughy. You get ALOT of food for such a small price. The Stromboli had lots of veggies in it and was loaded with flavor. It was all to die for. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly as well. It's got a divey feeling to it. The seating area isn't fancy or anything but it's good enough for a lunch outing, or even takeout. So far so good. Came in today for a slice of white pie. Fast, affordable, and tasty. Good flavor and it didn't flop over when you picked it up. I came here today for late lunch with my kids. My son got the chew steak with no peppers or onions. Halfway through his meal he found a hair. Once inside they tried to convince me that a mushroom hair went into my sons cheesesteak that had no mushrooms in it. As a native New Yorker, I have search far and wide for the best NY style pizza in Raleigh and I can now say I have found it. This little hole in the wall overlooking the pond in Poyner Place behind Triangle Town Center Mall makes the best pizza I have had in my 10 years in NC as a NY transplant. The cook, Luis has gotten the exact balance between sauce, cheese and soft inside crispy outside crust down to a science. But make sure Luis is in if you call on Sunday as he is off every other week and the alternative is less than stellar. Unlike other so-called NY Style Pizzerias in the Triangle, Dominic's pies are not doughy or paper thin. Nor are they loaded with globs of cheap mozzarella cheese. All ingredients are quality and perfectly balanced. They also have a nice selection of Specialty Pizzas. Give'em a call, and I challenge you to find a better pizza in the Triangle. read more

I've eaten at here 7 or 8 times in the past month; each time with my boyfriend who btw is from New York and Italian. He thinks the pizza is what pizza should be; I think it's very good. We've also had the rigatoni ala vodka, eggplant parm, and eggplant rollatini. These come with garlic rolls and a salad. The rollatini was the best I've ever eaten, the rolls are great, and the salad is so fresh it's unbelievable. Be prepared to take home half your food; after the 1st time of ordering we learned to share. They have daily specials; Monday and Tuesday nights a large cheese pizza is $8.95.....if you're there while they make it, they'll cook it as soft or crispy as you want. Went looking for some after church eats. Stromboli for me, pizza for my little girl, eggplant parm with a side salad for my bride and the best wings we've had since Brick Oven closed down. The food is actually pretty darn good. So what could be so wrong as to warrant only 3 stars? NO HVAC! The place was as hot and stuffy as a closed up tobacco warehouse on a 105 degree day. Atmosphere is a bit like the divey pizza places we had back home in NY. Nothing special about how the place looks, you order at the counter and sit down and wait for the food to be done. Placed order using their app. It had the option for carry out so I choose that. Arrived in front of the location and followed their instructions clicking on the "here" button when I parked. I also turned on the hazard lights when I arrived per the apps instructions. After 10 mins of waiting after the Dominos tracker said the order was complete, I sent my son in to get the pizza. My sister and I walked in here because we were in the plaza and OMG. We are from New York, so when a place claims 'NY pizza', we're always looking to be the judge of that. We ordered 4 slices of cheese pizza. They were thrown back into the oven to be twice baked (mouth watering already), so we just looked at the decor while we waited. It seems like they are pretty involved with their community; there were "thank you" pictures/art work from local schools and businesses - super awesome on their part. Well, once the pizza was done and we got to our car...that initial reveal was glorious. The cheese was ooey and gooey, the crust was slightly crunchy, and the grease rolled out of the pizza (we always fold our pizza in half). Would give it a 3.5 Stars if I could. After ordering from Dominic's a few times now, I suggest getting their Sicilian pizza. It's their best pizza by far. I'm a NY style fan but their thin crust just doesn't do it for me. They don't even do a Margherita pie. They don't use wood or coal fire, so it just lacks that authentic NY flavor. Also, they don't have the best wings. It could be just me because I'm a bit of a wing junkie, but the order I got tonight was all tiny drums. Although, they did give me a few extra. I've ordered them in the past and they've always been a little dry. Overall, it's a good pace for pizza delivery any day of the week when you get a craving.
