So far the best pizza I have tried in the city very professional and very humble people Definitely going back to try other combination

2 pepperoni slices and a drink for 6 bucks and some change. This is really good pizza. NY style large slices ready in a jiffy. I've only been to a handful of NY pizza places in NYC and Paco's did a great job with the vibes. When you walk in, it's a counter, pizza and a few standing options to eat. Definitely NYC vibes. Thanks for the great pizza and quick lunch!

Good pizza at this new shop in Wake Forest. This is the 3rd iteration of a pizza place at this former Domino's location. The conveyor belt oven is gone, replaced with a real pizza oven! Pizza freshly tossed NY-style. Tried a veggie pie. Freshly sliced mushrooms, black olives, green pepper and onions. Well proportioned cheese/sauce ratio. Crust cooked just right - a nice crunch on the bottom, moist and chewy on the top. It took about 15 minutes longer than the 30 minutes promised. The place is busy (a good thing) and they're just getting started, so I'm sure prediction will get better as time goes on. The team offered me a free dessert for the extended wait - a nice touch which shows me they're paying attention. Good pizza plus paying attention - you bet I'll be back.

Our first time trying this spot out due to a recommendation from a friend based off their food pics -- Ordered: large pepperoni & sausage pizza; lobster ravioli Pro: pizza dough was nice and chewy with crunchy crust - good ny style type of pizza Cons: the lobster ravioli was not great....and then we were kind of let down that they didn't tell us there's curbside service so we got out to wait on our food while another car got their food served by pulling up to the side of their restaurant Maybe we will try other other pizza items next time

Paco's is strictly pickup or delivery. No tables to eat at. We ordered for pickup via grub hub and only had a 5 min wait once i arrived. I'm a born and bred New Yorker and a cheese pizza purist. I can say it was right up there with my favorites in the area. A bit pricier than others and had to reheat as it's not that close to home but would order again.

    16" Sicilian is 14.5"

I'll preface this by saying I get their regular NY style pizza occasionally and it's a good pie and I'll definitely go back--I like the place overall and I didn't come here to leave a bad review (hence the 4 stars). That said.... I tried the Sicilian tonight. I knew it was a gamble because most places around here that identify as "NY Style" cook their Sicilians the same way they cook their Neapolitan pizza (and probably with the same dough) and it ends up being charred and dry on the bottom. To Paco's credit, their Sicilian crust was better than most. Sauce was solid (not over-seasoned) and cheese was generous, which I appreciate on a Sicilian. The rest of the crust was a little dense and could probably benefit from a higher gluten flour, but overall, it was fine. What shocked me was the stunning lack of attention to detail. First of all, the pie is advertised as a 16" Sicilian. What I got was 14.5" x 14.5". I'm not going to accuse anyone of being intentionally shady, but that's a pretty big oversight if you're accidentally baking your pies in a pan that's 45.75 square inches smaller than advertised. Secondly, an actual 16 x 16 pie can easily be cut into 16 decent size pieces. I don't know if it was because the pie was smaller than advertised, but whoever cut the pie made the decision to cut it into 12 pieces, 4 columns and 3 rows. The pizza order was for half cheese and half onion/garlic, and the way the pizza was cut, I ended up with 4 slices of cheese, 4 slices of onion/garlic, and then 4 larger slices in the middle that were half cheese, half onion and garlic. Obviously if you're feeding a group with differing tastes, this is a problem. The only real solution is to cut those slices in half, so you've basically got some pizza sliders... While the best solution is obviously to provide an actual 16" pie that can be cut into 16 good size pieces to idiot-proof the slicing process, this could also have been solved if the person cutting the pizza just rotated it 90 degrees in either direction before cutting. Seriously, a half second's worth of thought would have produced an exponentially less disappointing result. Look, I like the pizza, I'll be back, and I'm sure you're busy and all, but if you want customers to return, attention to details like this matter.

    Greet pizza.

I am from New Jersey and this pizza is just like the pizza I use to eat in New York. Its a family owned business, Paco is the father, his wife work there always with a smile and his Son's. Great location, the atmosphere is so welcoming. This is my favorite pizza in Wake Forest and Raleigh. I give them 5 plus stars.

Pizzas are now bland . Not sure what happened but not worth it anymore sadly which is too bad because their pepperoni used to be great.

II got their chicken, bacon, ranch pizza and two huge Strombolis. I strongly suggest it to anyone craving pizza late at night.

We ordered a calzone and Stromboli. They were both great. I'd certainly eat again and try something else.

Located in a…read morecharming style Victorian home, Amalia's welcoming service with no reservations was tasteful. We got seated promptly and had the pleasure of being served by Shannon. Shannon was humorous, kind and explained the menu very thoroughly so that we understood. In addition, he asked us what brought us to Amalia's and catered to our occasion. While we were in town for a wedding, we also were celebrating some home wins as well which Shannon took note of and gave us complimentary drinks at the end of our evening which was so kind. We started our evening off with some NA mocktails made in house which resembled a mojito. There were fresh strawberries and a lime wedge on top of the cup. I appreciated that this drink wasn't overly sugary and was the perfect blend of refreshing we needed especially after a flight. From there, we got complimentary house bread which was outstanding as it contained oil and onions baked in. Delicious! Shannon explained the menu was tapas style or small plate. We lead with the zucchini appetizer which had pistachios on top and were given suggestions on how to eat it. We went with the sushi method and ended up rolling the thinly sliced zucchini with a fork and it was perfect!! A very fun experience and such a unique menu option. For our main dishes, my husband has the steak and mashed potato special while I had the truffle cavatelli with sausage. Both items were out of this word and the perfect portion size. Shannon knew we loved the bread and brought us more to our table even though I'm fairly certain that is supposed to be for the beginning of the coursing. While our bellies were too stuffed for dessert right then and there, we did get cannolis to go and they are currently up in our fridge. We look forward to trying! We were able to see the other patrons order dinner in house and the entire layout is a production. If you have the chance and room for dessert, I highly recommend because the staff prepares it for you at your table. In addition, there are lovely coffee pairings with each dessert as an option as well. **Note: Amalia's does not carry red sauce. Many of the pastas are white sauce by design. This was not a deal breaker for us but it might be for someone else. Thank you, Amalia's! You were exactly the Italian cuisine we craved!
