For our main dishes, my husband has the steak and mashed potato special while I had the truffle cavatelli with sausage. Both items were out of this word and the perfect portion size. Shannon knew we loved the bread and brought us more to our table even though I'm fairly certain that is supposed to be for the beginning of the coursing. While our bellies were too stuffed for dessert right then and there, we did get cannolis to go and they are currently up in our fridge. We look forward to trying! We were able to see the other patrons order dinner in house and the entire layout is a production. If you have the chance and room for dessert, I highly recommend because the staff prepares it for you at your table. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. The bread tasted homemade, warm and perfectly soft, and the salads were incredibly fresh with just the right amount of dressing. Portions are huge, so come hungry or plan to take leftovers! The service was warm and welcoming, and the whole experience made me feel like I'd found a little slice of Italy right here in North Carolina. It's one of the few places where you can actually talk freely without feeling like the neighboring tables are part of your conversation. When the weather cooperates, the outside patio is a lovely spot to enjoy a meal. As for the food, the steaks are excellent and we haven't had a single bad experience yet. My wife is also a huge fan of the chopped Caesar salad. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time and enjoy!
