Honestly, I order a lot of late night pizzas and I feel that is the true test of a good pizza shop. This place technically wasn't in my range per their corporate website, but since there isn't one closer they were able to override that. I can order a pizza at 12:45am, and if they close at 1am, they will still answer the phone and deliver my pizza with no qualms. Also I have two kids so when I ask them to call instead of knock, they oblige. I have ordered from Papa John's on Clayton and they will deliver my pizza the next day or just cancel my order. Pros: Fast delivery. Have ordered delivery dozens of times, and only once or twice was there ever any issue with late delivery or finding my house (it's hard to see the address from the street). Usually get my delivery in around 20 minutes. Drivers are always courteous. Good service, too... I've only ever had a couple of problems with the pizza (wrong toppings, etc.) and when I call they always make it right, either with a new pizza delivered ASAP or with a store credit. The 2 for $5.99 deal is a great value, too. Cons: Well, it's Domino's pizza. Maybe not the best pizza in the world. But, it's really not bad and it does satisfy the pizza urge. The crust and sauce are pretty good, really. 3 and a half stars for the pizza and 5 for the service, so 4 stars. read more

Has anyone seen the employees here. They sit outside the front of the place and smoke. He's extremely sweaty, overweight, dirty and full beard and lots of hair. For a while I was ordering till my husband came home one day in disgust saying I'm not eating there ever again. He said that is so unsanitary and disgusting. I never seen him so I could not judge but I seen him outside a few days later and ewww. I know he's not wearing a hair net or beard net for sure and I can't imagine what he's doing over the pizzas. PLEASE HOLD!!! So I was in the mood for Pizza and decided on calling in my order to Domino's on Clayton Road. I already knew what I wanted and the call should have only been a few seconds since I was going to pick it up. The call was answered by Barry who quickly asked me if I would hold. After being on hold for almost five minutes enough time for me to brush my teeth, and empty the cats litter box Barry came back on the line and asked me for my phone number. I gave him my number and asked me if I still lived at my current address I said yes but I would be picking up the pizza. He then told me I need you to hold, and before I could say anything he was off the phone. After waiting another couple of minutes he came back on the line and asked me what I wanted on my second pizza. I told him I hadn't given him the first one yet and he said oh i have the wrong line and instantly put me back on hold and i'm guessing took the other line. At this point I was very frustrated and when he finally got back on the line I told him I would be eating elsewhere he said good and hung up. I will not be ordering from this Domino's ever again I will be using their sister store in Walnut Creek. read more

This was my first Domino's experience and I have to say it was quite pleasant! You see, in Concord we don't have many options when it comes to pizza. There are the usual pizza chains & a few local spots that are pretty decent, but pricey. I've tried many of them over the years & have not been blown away. So, in desperation, I turned to Domino's. Their website is easy to navigate & makes placing your order a breeze. They even have a pizza tracker which shows you where your pizza is in the prep & cooking process. Would have been cool if it worked but it kept telling me to try again later. Oh well. It was ready on time and I picked it up at the very clean & orderly shop. The employees were nice & I was out of there in about a minute. I ordered the Fiery Hawaiian which came with ham & bacon, pineapple, red peppers, jalapenos, & some hot sauce drizzled on top. Sounds weird, but it was quite good! I was pretty impressed with the crust, too. I mean, crust is really what makes or breaks a pizza. Domino's crust is light, not chewy, dusted with cornmeal, & sprinkled with parmesan cheese. All this at a very reasonable price. For Concord, this is definitely a 4 star pizza place. read more

Domino's is our go to pizza place when we don't want to spend a lot of money on great pizza. We know it's good, cheap and reliable most of the time. We have a regular order we get 99 percent of the time. 1 medium pan pizza, extra cheese and pepperoni. 1 order of 8 boneless chicken wings with ranch and the kicker sauce. Every now and then we'll throw a soda in there if we're really feeling it. It always comes out to just over $20.00 including tip. Most of the time we have good experiences. We had two drivers who delivered our orders a few times who were just awesome. Polite knockers, smiling faces, and always have the receipt ready for you to sign. Perfect. The pizza is nice and hot. Plus it looks amazing and you can tell it was really made with care. Sometimes the experience isn't that good though. There is one driver, whom I can't remember her name, but every time she would deliver the pizza, she would forget the receipt in the car and have to run back for it. Literally every time. Then on some cases like tonight we get lack luster service AND pizza. I placed the order, kept an eye on the tracker, and twenty five minutes after it left for delivery our pizza arrived. The guy knocked a bit excessively on the door. I answered and he wasn't friendly at all. He seemed like he was in a rush and just wanted to get this over with. He brought the wrong soda we ordered, but nothing we can do about that at that point. The pizza box was dented in like something heavy was sitting on it. A part of the pizza was stuck to the roof of the box because of that and the pizza wasn't exceptionally warm. The chicken was good as always. You win most but do lose some unfortunately. But today the manager called me and explained that Domino's changed their service delivery area. And it was beyond his control. After speaking to the manager I was satisfied and impressed that they reached out to me. I find that to be great customer service. After seeing all the bad reviews, I've got to give a decent one for a place that's very convenient for me. And they always have deals, but the pizza is decent. Brief Summary -- Quick and Fast whether delivery or pick up -- This location recently had management change and has improved drastically and there's friendlier and better employees -- Don't stop at the pizza, the garlic bread and garlic cheese bread are good -- Buffalo Kickers FTW I've been a fan of Domino's since I was a young lad. My Mom was friends with the domino's guys in 90s since she worked next door. And I think it's because of my uncle "tony" at Domino's that my favorite food is pizza. Nevertheless, since moving into the Concord area, I've always had a soft spot for Domino's. I was happy that they moved the location here which is closer to my house (only a minute away). Unfortunately, Domino's changed all of their sauce and I gave up completely on this establishment. Little did I know that they still offered a new type of marinara sauce! And thanks to a new, nicer employee, I found out that I could order the regular marinara sauce instead of the new spicier sauce (reminds me of round table). So I stop by Domino's every once in a while to pick up my favorite items. Usually Buffalo Kickers, Garlic Bread or Garlic Cheese bread, and sometimes a pizza. For those people that stopped going here because of bad service, I can tell you that's it's recently gotten 100% better and the old employee that would be at Domino's all alone on his bluetooth is no longer employed there. Also with all the new deals, this location is very busy. You might want to give it a try if you're wanting something pretty cheap and quick. read more

This is the Domino's that delivers for me when I place an online order, and they are great! I love Dominos' online ordering system, they have probably the best one I've ever used. And their online tracking system is awesome - even if it's a bit BS-y, it's fun to watch your pizza go through the whole process of ordering, assembling and then finally knowing when to be excited cuz yay, pizza is on its way! We get a pretty consistent small group of delivery people and they are always super nice, and appreciative of tips. This Domino's also has great consistency in the quality of their pizza and ingredients - I always get what I expect from them, and thus far they have never made any mistakes. Order a pizza, breadsticks, and a 2 liter soda. Delivery time estimated 30 minutes. 30 minutes go by. 45 minutes go by. 60 minutes go by. 75 minutes go by. 90 minutes go by. I call in and ask about my order. They don't have it. The lady on the phone then gets rude with me and accuses me of lying. I had to speak with two people before my order was made again even though I had already been charged. It was outrageous. If you make a mistake at least apologize. Gary, the store manager, gives absolutely TERRIBLE customer service! I placed an order and was told the delivery would take 20 minutes. 40 minutes later, I called and the lady apologized and said the driver would be here any minute. 10 minutes after that, a total of 50 minutes, I called back to see what was taking so long. I told Gary that someone had quoted 20 minutes. He proceeded to say that I was lying and that no one had ever quoted 20 minutes in the 11 years he's been there. I immediately cancelled my order and then, 10 minutes later, the overworked driver showed up not being told that we had cancelled our order. Gary was probably hoping that we would just take the pizzas anyway so he could charge us for it. We told the lady that it wasn't her fault, but we didn't want the pizzas. She said she was sorry for the delay and that they needed at least 2 to 3 more drivers to help with deliveries. Gary obviously doesn't know how to run a business, and his store will definitely never get my business ever again. read more

Love the new Domino's Pizza, compared to how they were a few years ago. At this location, I frequently order delivery and occasionally pick up also. Either way, the pizza is always prepared/delivered on time and still very hot when it arrives. Never dealt with a rude employee either, whether it be the person at the store or a delivery driver. At 12:30 in the morning after a great concert when you're kinda drunk in your hotel, you want pizza, right? So you call domino's. Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. We ordered a medium pizza and pasta, and even though there were thousands of people coming from this concert and they all decided to order domino's, our order was made quickly, and it arrived quickly. The order was estimated to take between 35-50 minutes, but it took less than 30. And it might have been that we were slightly intoxicated, but that was the best damn pizza I think I've ever had at 1am. I wanna go 5 star, but I'm not quite there yet! Love this place. 1- about a year ago I had subpar food from here. Contacted them. The owner was amazing! Contacted me w/I 24/hours and made it right. 2- it's .25 miles away from me. So I, em, pretend to exercise on the way there. 3- everything is HOT. My food is never just saying getting cold waiting on a shelf. They time things well. 4- good staff. The food- its dominos idk at other dominos. This place is not sloppy. Products are made with high standards. No sliding cheese or missing toppings. Today though, I skipped the pizza. I had pasta bread bowl and Mediterranean sandwich. Bread bowl was way too salty, but I like it! It is always salty. Its the only time I eat salt! The sandwich?! Forget about it! I was skeptical! I read reviews online. The I was like, it's a sandwich. who cares. I now care! It is really good! It is not large. Maybe 7 or 8 inches? It's big enough for two people in real life, but we all eat too damn much. This is the first time I've had a bad experience with delivery service and with the co worker Gary he was very rude and was being very disrespectful and refused to deliver to my home and saying that my family was being to slow on ordering food and always negotiating on the price witch we wasn't it's it mandatory to ask the price for pizza or do you get it free ? And the manger franklin Offended my family by saying we were talking like if we was at a swap market I get I know were Hispanic but that has no rights to say that as of being racist I will never again eat dominos. Friendly staff, good quality and my order has never been messed up. Usually pizza deliveries have me waiting over an hour but this location is so quick! My issue is this place does not care about its consumer I ordered a medium Pizza that came burned with the Box smashed on top of it also the sandwich had literally two slices of pepperoni it was supposed to be a complete three meat with cheese Italian sandwich and the chicken was under done then on top of that the delivery was an hour and 15 minutes late the driver told me that the office should have called me and that it was not his fault that a driver didn't come to work I called the shop spoke to a manager to which now I understood it was a assistant manager and now come to find she wasn't working there at all I tried to call the manager this evening apologize for calling on a Friday night for him and he use that against me by disregarding my phone call I asked to speak to his district manager or a number for and he wouldn't do it. This was an epic fail the orders have been diminishing considerably over the last few months and I have not complained until tonight just to bring it to his attention but it didn't seem to matter at all I left my number with the manager to have the district manager called me tell me should I hold my breath? I have to give it a one otherwise it would be a negative I know this is a long report but if you are having problems please make sure it's reported they don't seem to care about that old establishment 30 minutes or quicker motto that they used to go by. Sometimes the orders are so wrong, it's like I have been delivered someone else's pizza. They will correct your order if you ask them to but who wants to waste their Friday or Saturday nights doing this? This is very inconvenient if you are feeding guests or are ordering pizza for a quick dinner for your kids. There are better delivery alternatives in Concord. read more

I've been ordering from this dominoes for a while and though their service is usually okay (mistakes happen often but usually minor and we overlook it or they fix them) we really come back for the prices and food which the two stars are for. But our last order was ridiculous. They were over an hour late and when they finally got there they didn't bring cheese, peppers, or the sauces we ordered. The delivery driver was unapologetic and rude and refused to get our missing items. Once he left we realized they were also missing one of the liters of soda we ordered so I called him and he starts arguing with me and says he's coming back to my house to argue with me more. I said not come to my house as I would rather eat my cold pizza id been waiting two hours for than spend more time talking to them about it. He showed up at my door anyway which I did NOT appreciate. It really says a lot that he's willing to come back to argue with me but not to make our order right. Then I get a call from the manager who sounds more like he's accusing me of something than trying to fix their mistake. Overall very disappointed and I will not be eating there again and will encourage my friends not to either. read more

EVERY single time we order pizza from this location it is beyond late...... No matter what day of the week it is. We call in and ask about it and we are constantly told "its because we are busy" Im sorry But there is no reason I should have to wait over an hour for a pizza when I live right down the road.
