Person on the phone claimed to be the manager refused to let me get what I paid for in full - steak and cheese and fries. She was so rude. Was screaming and refusing to listen to me. After some discussion with her screaming at me , she asked if I was blind because the order they got had no steak or cheese on their steak and cheese ticket. Irregardless- I let her know I was charged the full price for a STEAK AND CHEESE and it was some kind of mistake and asked again if I could just walk next door and have them fix it real quick. I have been a regular at Paisanos for years & it's always been a friendly happy spot with very clean ambiance. - Frederick manager just refused to help even though I had paid the full price for a steak and cheese and fries and had no idea why my order for a steak and cheese with fries had a note for no steak and cheese. She said in a laughing voice "when the order came through we all laughed. I will NEVER EVER EVER order from Paisanos again. Nor will any of the teams I support or my businesses for lunch, after games , nothing. It was an easy fix. Never microwaved, because that would have a tragic impact on the texture of the beef. It's served with your choice of softly sautéed sweet green peppers, or giardiniera spicy pickled vegetables mix. We went with the sweet peppers which really complemented the savory flavors of the beef. And the sandwich has anywhere from a splash of savory au-jus to a full-soak. We got the juice on the side for dipping bite by bite. Rosati's kindly gave us two little cups, enough to make the sandwich fully "wet". We have it that way when we can handle a super-messy sandwich, but today, dipping was the wise move. They have great authentic Chicago-style deep-dish and "tavern-style" thin crust pizza here too. The sauce is sweet and a that's a major deal breaker for me. The only redeeming value is the cheese, sausage and pepperoni toppings were above average. What I liked was the texture and fluffiness of the crust as you bite into a slice. It satisfied what I was craving at the time and they did it well. This location is in the corner of a strip and the parking there is quite tight. I recommend parking a bit farther and walking a bit to avoid the hassle. The store is quite small so there is about 3 people's worth of space for social distancing. They do not take American Express. I learned that the hard way. Not the best pizza and they do not try to be. Only try them out for speed and bargain pizza. Or, in my case, if they offer something you crave.
