Best Dominos outta any other Dominos I've had. The taste and texture is just so pure.

Very nice guys and good, quick service. I was trapped in Mystic because I was sick and they made me a decent dinner.

With its Latin American focus, I felt like the Peruvian chicken would be the best bet. Plus it was listed first on the menu (unlike concert setlists the best isn't usually saved for last - what's the deal with The Killers opening with Mr. Brightside? - but I digress). This was superb, partly thanks to the salsa verde, but also due to the excellent basil bread. I also enjoyed the mint lemonade. The local customers, like many Yelpers, raved about the Chinese BBQ sandwich and said I should get it next time. I had a moment of indie-rock snobbery and thought I can get Chinese sandwiches anytime in NYC, but I was curious about the emphatic praise. For a second I pretended I couldn't possibly get a second sandwich. So with some self-delusion combining "I didn't eat breakfast" and "these nice people told me to get another one" I got the BBQ sandwich. It, too, was excellent, with a perfect fusing of ham, bread and sauce.

I've heard of this place but finally made the visit! I have to recommend their Tiramisu Latte,…read moreprobably the best latte I've gotten out at a restaurant! Creamy and balanced, I was tempted to get another! We ordered the California Burrito and Big 55 sandwich. The jalapeño aioli paired with the carne asada on the burrito was unreal. Better than they make in Cali! Big 55 was everything you could want in a classic breakfast sandwich with sausage and bacon on a soft ciabatta with chipotle aioli. Last note - the guys behind the counter were so friendly, greeting everyone coming through the door! I swear they knew everyone, and introduced themselves if they didn't. Such a cool environment for a cafe in a place that doesn't always seem "local" based on tourism.

I think it is because I saw several cans, What bothered me even more was the customer service. I politely explained that I didn't like the taste of the coffee and asked if I could exchange it for something else. The manager/owner responded with a smirk, "You can, but you'll have to pay for it." I've never had a coffee shop handle a situation like that. It wasn't about the coffee--it was the lack of customer service and unwillingness to make a customer feel valued. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. Edit- the owner just admitted that the cold brew machine was broken and was using cans- pretty sure that was not public knowledge prior to me ordering my coffee and hence why the taste was clearly off. If I am going to a speciality coffee house, I am expecting a fresh coffee or transparency that the coffee will not be of the same standard because it is coming from a mass produced can instead of freshly brewed process. Considering I did express that I didn't not like the taste it would have been justified for the shop to make me a new coffee. If I wanted a canned coffee I wouldn't have gone to a speciality place. It should have been communicated that the coffee was from a can because clearly the taste and quality of a different standard.I was made to feel like my concerns were not validated. I picked up that this tasted off and wanted something else. Edit #2 I did not like the taste of my cold brew and it tasted off because it came from a can. the owner removed his initial response where he admitted the machine was broken and they were using cans and changed his story completely to once again put the blame on me. At the end of the day, the cold brew didn't taste good because it came from a can was not fresh. It has nothing to do with the taste of cold brew or personal preference- any serious coffee lover would taste cold brew from a can and know that it is disgusting and that is why I expressed concern that the taste was off. Owner should have been more transparent that the coffee was from a a can and not make me feel like as the customer I was wrong and totally off base.

There were a lot of intriguing options to choose from. I had the chilaquiles ($15) and a Cacio Pepe doughnut ($4). The chilaquiles had corn tortilla chips, salsa Verde, salsa Macha, cotija, white onion, cilantro, and a fried egg. The chips appeared to be homemade, and they were tremendous along with the salsa Verde and Macha. There was a nice kick to the salsas and a perfect crunch from the chips. However, it just felt like the dish was mostly chips. I felt like more toppings could be added or an additional egg. The fried egg was also a little overcooked, guess when ordering, we could have specified how we wanted it to be cooked. The doughnut was okay. The sourdough base was very solid, but essentially just a lot of cheese on top. I was not sure what to expect regarding this type of doughnut, but this was the least optimal choice. Will I go back? I would.

I was in Mystic on New Year's Eve morning, killing time in between food activities, when I saw…read morePasta Fresca & Piadina in a Yelp search result. Its grinders looked damn good. Since Pasta was in the name, I figured it might be more of a market than a grinder shop and I decided to visit. It was actually more of a grinder shop that sold some fresh pasta and sauces and things that you would expect a grinder shop to have. I honestly thought about walking out without buying anything, but I kept thinking about that awesome looking Italian Trio (basically like an Italian Combo) grinder. I decided to order a small, take some pics and a couple of bites, and save the rest for later since I had lunch plans. This grinder was my ideal Italian Combo. First off, the small was huge. Full size at most places. I ate it over the course of two days. I ordered it with lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, cucumbers, provolone, Oil and Vinegar, Salt and Pepper, and Mayo. The three meats were pepperoni, Genoa salami and capicola. The bread was good, fresh and up to the job of holding the ingredients. There were about six slices of meats, but they folded them around the inside of the bun (cut on one side) so you were really getting about 12 layers in each bite. And the inside was stuffed with the veggies and other toppings. So stuffed that the toppings fell out as you were taking bites. But that was actually great from my perspective, because you could just pick up the fallen toppings and put them exactly where you were going to bite next. I've been to a lot of highly rated grinder shops in CT. I don't think I've had a better Italian combo. The ingredients were all great. It was a well constructed sandwich. You got bits and pieces of most of the stuff in each bite. Ingredients were in the right proportion. It was salty. Acidic. Juicy. Great contrasting textures. This was a text book Italian Combo Grinder. Now if you live near Mystic, getting a grinder from Pasta Fresca is a no brainer because you can take it home. If you're not from the Mystic area, there was a bit of seating. Seating may be hit or miss though. In any event, if you can figure out where you're going to eat the Italian Trio, you're going to love it. Can't believe I've never heard of this place. 5 Stars

They might be a tad bit under staffed cause we did wait a bit before someone got us a table and even to pay and get some of the bakery items was a bit of a wait, but it wouldn't stop me from going again. The food actually came out fairly quickly. The wife and I both got the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and my son got the French toast. I will admit, when my wife wanted to come here I really wasn't in the mood for anything I saw on the menu. We were on vacation and we weren't having much luck with food options the whole time so I was just being picky. That all changed tho when food arrived because that sandwich was excellent and really hit the spot. And the fries.....if you like McDonald's fries, you will like these even more because to me that's what they reminded of when their fries used to be good. My son enjoy his French toast. Will definitely go back. Price was reasonable as well. Oh!! Almost forgot about the bakery items. We got a chocolate chip cookie, a macadamia nut cookie and my son wanted macaroons. The cookies were awesome and I guess the macaroons were too cause my son ate them all and wouldn't share

We were seated at a lovely table for two overlooking Main Street - watching people stroll by from that elevated perch behind glass felt almost cinematic. The real star of the show was the food, which is ultimately what you're there for, and it delivered. The menu offers plenty of options without being overwhelming. I started with the Crispy Pig's Head as an appetizer - a bold choice that turned out to be outstanding. For my entrée, the bucatini with seacoast mushrooms, sherry, parmesan, mushroom cream, and fine herbs was perfectly cooked, and carried a subtle but deeply flavorful sauce. And the housemade sourdough with poblano honey butter? Absolutely outstanding. To be fair, our server took a little time to warm up but found their footing and gave us everything we needed. Parking in Mystic on a busy weekend night can also be a challenge and expensive. Neither is reason enough to skip this one. Ship Wright's Daughter is exactly the kind of restaurant Mystic deserves.
