For other customers, I would recommend to refrain purchasing from this store, or at least document your order details and any communication if you run into an issue, as you may need to escalate the matter beyond the store level, which is what I'm going to do. Hopefully this location, particularly its store manager, improves how she handles legitimate customer concerns, because situations like this can easily damage trust built over many years.
