2 hours for a oil change!!! Would NOT recommend buying the service contract!! I will never buy that again!! This is ridiculous

If I could give no stars I would. Their service department is awful and way overpriced. They take advantage of people who have no choice to pay what their asking due to the fact that the car is broken down. You have to call them, they don't call you. We feel ripped off. Also, this is our second Jeep that has been a piece of crap. They have lost us as a customer and we will never buy Jeep again the rest of our lives. BUYER BEWARE! Stick with Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Mini. Jeeps are not what they used to be. We feel very scammed. Will be trading in our Cherokee with less than 50,000 miles on it because we don't feel safe in it anymore for a Honda. read more

We had a pretty easy car purchase. We had been looking online at a new Chrysler Pacifica's and found the one we wanted here. I emailed to confirm they had it and when we showed up on Saturday, they were all ready for us. The price quote came back better than we were expecting and even more for my trade-in than we were expecting. It was an easy no haggle experience. It still took awhile with paperwork, financing paperwork, getting the car ready. We took advantage of the 0% financing. The had issues with the electronics when trying to show us, but they worked fine when we got home. Overall the process took about 2.5 hours, considering we already knew what we wanted, I felt like they could still streamline a bit, but it was overall a pretty pleasant experience for buying a car. read more

Worst experience ever. The service department failed to fix the problems after 3 tries and $2400. Gosh it was bad. Unfortunately I also found out they lied about being in "constant contact" and 'under direct advisement' of and with Chrysler Corp. I actually called Chrysler Corp at the suggestion of my warranty company and they had no record of anyone from Don Davis ever contacting them. Beware! Service department has the absolute worse customer service! This is my second time to this dealership, and BOTH have been beyond horrible! First experience- Happened about 3-4 years ago. Dropped my car off in their "quick service" lane right when they opened for the day, and I was the first one there. Asked them to look at my check engine light that was on, and see what the problem was. I sat in their waiting room for FIVE hours with no communication or update from anyone. I finally got a hold of someone who said they would get an update for me, to which it took them an hour to get back to me. Told me it was an easy fix, then proceeded to take an additional FOUR hours to fix the problem. I was at their service department for 10 hours before finally over paying for what they said was an "easy problem" with little to basically no communication from their employees. Second experience- Pulled into their service lane where all the offices are located, and you can see about 6 people in their respected offices working. I stood outside my car for about 3 minutes with every employee in their office trying to avoid eye contact with me. When an unlucky employee popped out of a side door, he saw me and asked if I had been helped yet. When responded "no", he acted annoyed and came over. When I updated him with what was wrong with my car, and told him that the auto repair shop I go to by my house was able to fix the problem enough just for me to get to a dealership that could handle this situation, he exploded on me. Told me that if the check engine light was not on, that there was NOTHING he could do for me, and that I just needed to drive my car until the problem occurs again (seems like such safe and great advice...). I told him the check engine WAS still on, to which he responds with berating words about the auto repair shop I typically go to, and then does nothing. He doesn't run a diagnostic, doesn't look at the car, doesn't even touch it... simply responds with "are you ready to leave it here for at least 4-day's because we have no time to do it right now". When I said I could but would need to look into getting a rental, he cuts me off and says "well sorry, they already closed for the day". After that I could tell this was going to go no where with his attitude and lack of care for the situation, and told him I wasn't interested in leaving the car here. He simply said "okay" with an attitude and walked off. I am a very understanding person, and know that dealerships are typically busy and can't get to cars the same day. But I do know that they should be able to run a 1-minute diagnostic, and show a little more care and concern for customers. If that would have been the case, I probably would have left my car there and got a rental the next day. Glad I did not, because if I had problems this early in the exchange, I could only imagine the problems that would have came during... That will be the last time I drive onto their lot, and should be your last too if you don't want a headache. read more

My experience at Don Davis was excellent. My sales guy, Rachid, was not only extremely helpful, but he truly seemed to be as excited about my Jeep as I was. Whenever a question came up that he couldn't answer, there was no shortage of help from any one of the other guys in the showroom. The experience then extended to the parts and service department where they not only beat the prices for product and service at other off-road/4x4 stores, but the items I had installed are now covered under my Mopar warranty. I would not hesitate for a minute to recommend this dealership to my friends or family. read more

Took my 08 patriot in to have diagnosis for abs and traction control 3 lights total . Said it would be $175 bucks and 2 days . Ohhk should have hung up. So bring it in Wed at 4pm . Mary in Service Dept called me back Friday and asked history prior work done and problems I've noticed. Said he was about to start on it but prob be tom before it's ready . She calls and said he wasn't done and would be Monday. So Monday about 5pm Mary calls and says still not done. Finally late afternoon Tuesday she said he is done and I need abs module replaced $1600 bucks and alignment for $130 plus another $1100 worth of suggested work . No detail about what was looked at to narrow down other issues before needing this costly repair. Really just not the place I want to spend anymore time or money in again. Depressing. Once was a good place. Service is poor. Last time I took in I needed a a new Nav system. They replaced the unit and never checked to see if it worked. it didn't. Didnt even get an apology for having to bring it back to have them correct their error. Tried to give them another chance.. but hold times to service department when calling can be extremely long. I'm very sad to leave a bad review as I am not one to do so unless needed. I dropped my car off for servicing on a Saturday. Didn't mind at all how long it was going to take because I understood things are backed up. But Mary was my service advisor... with that being said she did not call me once the entire time my car was being serviced for a week. She called me that following Friday to tell me it was ready. I had to asked what was done and what the problems were. I come to pick up the car and notice there was a part that wasn't replaced that she had forgot about. Said she would order it and call me when it's ready. When they called a week later I came in and it was wrong. Ok I get it. Said she would call back and never did. A week went by and I called and spoke to manny another service writer. He also promised to call back and nothing. ANOTHER week went by and nothing. So I called again and asked to speak to someone else in service and they sent me to parts not telling me. How surprising. The gentleman in parts was great and sent me to the service MANAGER Joe Johnson to leave a voicemail. So I did. Well instead of Mr. Johnson calling me back as a manager should when things get bad he had Mary call me.... The one who doesn't communicate at all. What a sorry dealership this is. It took her about two and a half weeks to tell me she can't help that I need to call the dealership I bought it from. Sounds like you don't know how to do research. Well, I had not read the reviews until today about this so-called dealership. There's a shortage of vehicles and the SUV I wanted just so happened to be at Don Davis Auto Group. I did a lot of correspondence with the sales person via text and confirmed that I would be traveling from Round Rock to Arlington. I arrived thinking that everything discussed IN WRITING and it would be a slam dunk. Nope, because of their mistake I was given the run around for hours just to find out that my financing wasn't in place. So the Sales Manager, "helped me out" by giving me the car that I drove three hours to pick up. I asked about the battery and was told it had plenty of life left. Once I returned home, I had it checked by an inspection company and then Lambs, who confirmed that it was about to die and that the alternator was struggling, so I got a new batter. Brought this concern to Don Davis and was given the run around AGAIN about reimbursement even after I produced the only invoice Lambs could provide me. Right out the gate, I am already spending an additional $400+. The ridiculous sales manager made up silly excuses about "accounting" receipts and I had to impolitely inform him that he had everything he needed. That was his ammunition to then make the conversation about my using a swear word that wasn't directed towards him. By that time I lost it and told him how I truly felt. I left messsage for the GM to return my call and of course nothing. Make this place your last resort. Do your research and find a reputable dealership who has a reputation of putting the customer first and not adding reconditioning fees without recondition the vehicle prior to purchase. Those four off-branded tires do not equal $1,200. Get them a working battery! read more

By far the worst car buying experience I have ever had! Lied to from start to finish. And after paying thousands extra for the service contract, the service department has been the worst service experience as well! I would not recommend coming to this place unless you hate yourself. I bought a new Challenger (my 3rd). I took the car home on a Friday night. Don Davis dealer called me on Monday and said they needed me to come sign a new contract from the bank where my payment went up $200/month. I would love to be able to give these guys 5 stars, and if I were simply reviewing the new car buying experience or the Finance team, it would be a 5. However, the Service Department killed this review. I think DD should consider having a separate area for Service reviews and Sales reviews. Here are the facts: 1. Called DD for service on a factory recall for my Jeep (happily purchased at DD back in the fall) and made an appointment for a specific time (provided by them) and was told the entire process would take 30-45 minutes (this was also the stated service time on the recall letter). 2. I showed up five minutes early for my agreed upon appointment but was told that the process would likely take 1.5 to 3 hours and might even take all day. 3. I explained what was agreed upon originally, that I had planned my morning around this and that I could not wait that long. 4. I calmly and professionally explained to the guy in Service (I use that word loosely) that these guys just cost me a 35 minute drive (each way), 10+ dollars in tolls (each way), an hour of my time and the wrecking of my morning schedule. 5. The "service" guy didn't so much as offer even the slightest appearance of apology or sympathy to THEIR mistake but simply looked at me and blinked. 6. 30 seconds of uncomfortable silence 7. I requested my recall notice back and Service guy turned and left, not saying a word, then returned with my letter, handed it to me, and turned around to walk back into his office. 8. I got back in my Jeep and backed out of the service lane thinking I would go on about my day. 9. I made it to the end of the DD parking lot and thought, "you know what? I really should say something about this to someone." I parked and went into the main Sales area. 10. I bumped into the same guy who sold my Jeep to me and he took me back to the Service Department to see if we could get all this straightened out. 11. Sales guy introduced me to the main Service Manager who said we would get it all figured out. In his defense, he was at least professional and apologetic. The Sales guy went back to the Sales area. 12. The Service Manager prattled on about how this was really the call center's fault and that they weren't supposed to be giving customers specific durations of service appointments. He then stated that there really wasn't much to be done in my case but that he could give me a rental car if I couldn't wait for my Jeep to be finished (an indeterminate amount of time). 13. I said "thanks" and that I would like a rental car because I had a meeting coming up. It was already 30 minutes past my previously agreed service appointment time so I still had another hour and a half to get back to work for my meeting. 14. I asked how long will it take to get the rental car. The Service Manager says it will be at least 1.5 hours and that, most likely, by the time I got my rental car, my Jeep would be ready. 15. I decided that I would just reschedule my meeting and wait for the Jeep. As I was getting ready to make the call to reschedule, the Service Manager says that he can't guarantee that my Jeep will be ready but that it might be, or, I might also be needing to wait around all day. 16. It is at this point where I become angry but realize there is nothing I can do aside from letting other people know of my experience. So, I tell the Service Manager, again, that I don't have that much time to spare and that I will have to come back. 17. I leave (which was the smartest thing I did since first arriving at the DD Service Department). If you read other reviews on Yelp, you will see that several people have had similar experiences to mine. Do yourselves a favor, buy your car from Don Davis, but get it serviced somewhere else. read more

He kept calling me "buddy" and told me that their Internet people had "messed up" causing them to get many calls for that truck yet no one had gotten around to fixing the "mistake" online yet. They try to act like they know what they are talking about but I'm pretty sure they haven't been selling cars for more than 6 months, if that. I am saying "they" as I do not want to name the guys that dealt with us. Nice guys but not experienced. I didn't like the fact that when we went to go test drive the car, the sales man drove first. UNBELIEVABLE...NOT IN A GOOD WAY! I'd been driving the same car for almost 15 years...first and only car I'd ever bought. Two months ago I finally decide to let it go, took it in for a trade. And this place was the closest to the shop where I was at the time. The car buying process was easy. I drove away content...decent car..payments within my budget. The problem occurred when I took the car back in for a windshield repair. It was purchased, already cracked, with a promise to fix it. I make my appointment over a week before going in...almost 2 months after the sale. I'd read the reviews and had a feeling it wouldn't be a quick fix. I get there and am told that the sales manager,Adam, didnt approve the repairs. He say she say bs. So I spoke to Adam and got everything ok'd...left the car for repairs that were to take a couple hours. I dropped my car off at 9am on a Monday and received a call on Wednesday close to 4pm..that it was ready. At the end of day 2 I was given a rental car and I don't even think the advisor, Mark C. was going to offer..I had to bring it up. Never got an apology. He tells me that the wrong window was ordered twice? I felt like I was on candied camera. And meantime, in between time..the temporary tags on the car had expired.Never received a call that they were ready. Didn't know if they should've come in the mail or what. So When I pick up my car, I had to walk over to the sales office and inquire. My salesguy Ashley tells me that the tags have been there 2 weeks, some guy should've called me? Now I know why it took me so long to buy a new car. They defenitely lost a customer. read more

Don't do it!!!!!!!! I took my daughters jeep wrangler in because they failed to reset the oil change warning light when they last changed the oil. The brake light was coming on so I asked them to check it out and they said they would call me in a couple hours, that was 8:00am (I had and appointment). The next morning I called to asked what was up and they said they just got it into service but long story short I need a new master cylinder and power boost and that it would be $1050.00. I asked some questions and their answers were a little shaky so I said I wanted a second opinion. No sorry you had to come in for our mistake just $150.00 for misdiagnosing my problem. I took it to a friends jeep mechanic and it was fixed for $140.00. I certainly would not let my friends, spouse, or children go there again. I think if they are selling you a jeep things go pretty well but take it anywhere else for service. read more

I have had the truck for over seven months and till this day I get a text msg or a letter from the sales rep asking how is the vehicle performing. This is unheard of from car sales people. read more

I have purchased 2 autos from Don Davis (Ford). The Jeep dealership was different. They provided a copy of an worksheet (for a Jeep Wrangler) and explained they had to have it shipped from another dealer. I told them I would think about it and went home. I pulled up the VIN number from the sheet provided by Don Davis and the Wrangler was three thousand dollars cheaper (the same Jeep) and all I had to do is drive to Granbury Texas (35 miles away). So, I drove to Granbury bought the Jeep and saved 3K. So...shop around!!! read more

My husband and I were looking for a used car. We wanted something newer and good quality with a low monthly payment. Previously we had some pretty awful experiences at other lots. Then my father suggested I come here and see Earl. I had bought my last car through him and my dad had bought several through him as well. When we came in I had a great experience! I felt like Earl really cared about getting me in a vehicle I love and for a payment I can afford. The financial team was fantastic as well, especially Cesar, and got us in a great car and a good deal! Now I am a proud owner of a 2013 Kia Soul (which is what I wanted) and payments I can afford. They sell you POS' on wheels that have stuff wrong with them to begin with. Then after you sign the paperwork you are stuck with the POS. Tried to get my car I traded in back once I realized they sold me a POS and I was told I was stuck with it. They knew from the beginning there was something wrong with it but instead of letting me know, they pushed me into buying it assuring there was nothing wrong with it. They know when they do it too because for the first couple of weeks they will take it back and "look at it" and give you other trash in the meantime. But once that's done you're just stuck with what you get. Your only option is to pay hundreds for a rental so they can drag out "looking at the issue" for as long as they want. Unless you know someone who can lend you a car. If you knew someone who could lend you a car; what's the point of buying one in the first place. Never returning or wasting another dime with these people. read more

I've had nothing but terrible experiences at the Service center. Started off with a Jeep Cherokee that I brought in for overheating on a Saturday. Was told by Audrey that it probably wouldn't be looked at until Monday. I was not given a loaner, just sent on my way without a car for 2 days. Monday comes around and find out the thermostat went out and it should be ready to pick up by the end of the day. Time ticks by, I call around 4:30 and was told that they are still working on it but it probably won't be ready until the next morning. I call the next morning and was THEN told that a part needed to be ordered so it might be ready by the end of the day. Time ticks by again, I call and check around 5pm and was told I could pick it up. Communication...awful. Fast forward a week. I just got a new lease/Jeep with a dealership elsewhere. After a few days with the new Jeep, the key fob was not being detected at times and the car would not start. Took it into Don Davis and explained the issue to Mary. She could not see any issues and said to come back in if it happens again. Sent me on my merry little way. Next day, it happened to me twice so I took it back in. Mary said they would change the batteries in the fobs. I sat in the waiting area for 1.5 hours until a mechanic asked exactly what was going on. Explained it to him and it even happened to me right then and there. He got in the car and it started for him. Told me I must not be pressing the brake hard enough. And then mentioned NOTHING had been done in the 1.5 hours I was there. Walked over to Terri and explained the situation. Not only did the mechanic throw his coworker Mary under the bus but the manager raised his voice at the mechanic in front of me. I asked for a loaner and told them they need to duplicate the issue. Next day, Mary called and said my car was good to go. Good to go? You found the issue? No. Nothing was done. I went back, turned the loaner back in for my car, called the original dealership that sold the Jeep to me and they sent a driver to pick up my car and left me with a nice new loaner. They were able to duplicate the issue and take care of the situation. So don't go to Don Davis Arlington...at least not the Service center. read more

Should have listened to the reviews and stayed away. I didn't buy a vehicle here so can't review that area but I did get my car serviced here and big mistake. Took my car to get 3 things fixed and they only fixed one issue. They took 3 weeks to finish and would have took longer if I agreed to leave my car there for more time. They send you this bogus email and text saying if you respond by a certain time and agree to repairs then it will be ready the next day and it never is. From that text it took almost 2 weeks more from that initial text and response. One issue was the AC and they didn't even look at it and just assumed it would work by recharging the system with Freon lol smh come on man. Soon as I left the dealership it worked for a few minutes then messed up again because that wasn't the issue. When they finally ran the bore camera in the system they finally found out what the issue was. That's what they should have done in the first place instead of assuming. Nevertheless, I didn't agree to do part change because mind you it had already took 3 weeks to just do that smh. So now that I knew what the problem was I bought the part myself and changed it out myself. Took a whole day to do. Also, with repairs here had to call several times just to see what was going on with my car and at one point it was evident the car was just sitting there and not being worked on because they hadn't even got to one issue yet they said they did the last time. They have the equipment to see what the problems are if you're are coming for service it just takes too long and just way to time consuming. Luckily I have multiple cars, cant imagine if you have only one car and how long it would take without that car. If you're in a bind I would take it here just to pay the service diagnostics fee to see what's wrong and then take it to someone else to replace that part. Anyone else would replace it in a day and the dealership will take forever to replace a part not even counting the shipping time for parts they never have. read more

Very easy purchase experience. I found a low-priced used car online and came in to see it. Unfortunately, they had take the car to their Nissan store in South Arlington. My Salesman, Cody, drove me down there and my test drive was the trip back to North Arlington. I liked the car and thought the asking price was reasonable. I offered Cody $500 less than that,, and he quickly accepted. All the paperwork was done in the next 20 - 30 minutes, and then I just had to wait a little bit while the car was cleaned and filled with gas. They pulled it up front and I was on my way. No muss, no fuss. Cody was friendly and helpful, and never tried to hand me off or "go check with his manager." Overall, a good experience. I will go back when I'm making a larger purchase. read more

I contacted don Davis after my ac quit working in my 2018 journey. I had an appointment scheduled for Tuesday at 7am. I was told nothing would be fixed until they went over the car, and called me to let me know what was needed and if my warranty covered it. On Thursday they started giving us the run around. The service advisor asked us for additional information that was needed so we sent it over. Here we are Friday, and it took not only myself but my husband calling over the course of 5 hours before the manager called us back to tell us the issues weren't covered under the warranty which also mean we are now responsible for the rental car fees as well. Their warranty is basically useless and a waste of money. I will never do business with these people again. This isn't the first issue we've had with them so I should have known better. They are still giving me the run around on when I can pick my car up. read more

There are few things I truly hate in life, but Don Davis Dodge is definitely one of them. This last atrocity happened over 6 months ago and I've finally calmed down enough to post about it. I've been a customer at this dealership over 10 years and have purchased 4 vehicles totally well over $170,000.00 (Dodge Ram, 2013 Challenger SXT+, 2015 Challenger SRT, and 2018 Challenger RT 392 Scat Pack w/ Shaker). Considering they rake in well over $10M monthly, my little $170K is chicken feed. To me, it's alot of money and patronage. After suffering through Terry Collins in "Service" for many years, he was finally fired. The tool they replaced him with was nice the first visit and assured he was there to help people. Ummm... Yeah, no. I can't even remember his name as I don't wish to. I like to think having 4 I.T. degrees including my PhD / Doctoral in Data Analystics and having driven Challengers for 8 years, in addition to coming from an International Racing Family AND a close friend that's owner and runs his own car installation company the past 25 years... equates to solid intelligence and car knowledge. My 2018 Challenger was having problems with its battery after only 4,000 miles. Tested it with AAA which showed it was dead. After being stranded multiple times and paying for several Uber rides, I took it in to have battery replaced. They pay around $50 for them in bulk. Showed them the diagnostic receipt from that morning and tech said no problem. 2 hours later, they came to waiting room and said they did a charge test on it and it showed enough to start. I was incredulous and said, so what?! It's been sitting long enough to build up some charge, but it'll die again later. I thought all that time they were replacing it (which shouldn't take that long) or at least doing some trace testing. Young tech went and got Terry's replacement manager "Tool" or better yet we'll call him Azz Hat. He immediately took an accusatory tone and said he noticed I have a Radar Detector and must've left it on overnight. LOL!!! I said not possible as it's wired directly to the ignition and shuts off with the engine. He acted like he caught me in something and said it must be mis-wired and killed my battery. WOW. I called my good friend the car installer whose has easily done tens of thousands over the years and on speakerphone he laughed and said oh yeah. Idiots blame me the installer all the time. I told Azz Hat it's not the problem as my last 3 cars had Detectors installed the same way without issue. He immediately moved on and mentioned an LED accent strip that was on under my car (yes, I have a light kit my friend installed awhile back). Promptly Azz Hat accused me of leaving it on. I said no, in fact I haven't turned it on in over 6 months. Even if I had left it on, it would need to be on for weeks plus not driving my car for it to make any difference (very VERY low voltage draw). He quickly said, so you're claiming it hasn't been on?! I was pissed at this point and said I did not stutter. I clearly said no, I haven't had it on in over 6 months. He marched over in a huff and pointed underneath my car to show me it was on and glowing red. I responded, what is your point?! Your tech disconnected the battery and upon reconnecting it trigger it to come on Mr. Azz Hat. Are you through coming up with random accusations? Are you going to replace the battery today or not?! He said they absolutely could for $150.00. LMAO!!! I said I don't care what you claim it costs you although I know it's only $50 as I've been working with the same General Sales Director for 5 years on my last 2 cars. He tells me things. Azz Hat then said I'd have to leave my car until Monday night (it was Friday afternoon) so they could investigate why the battery is dead. By the way, the 2 1/2 hours now wasted there, zero customers and at least 6 techs standing around doing nothing but watch this disgusting exchange. He also commented they would not provide me a loaner vehicle but their shuttle could take me over to Enterprise so I could rent a car at my expense. Wow, such service. He quipped they don't do loaners which isn't true. You'd think with your last 2 vehicles being over $55,000 each, they'd take better care of you. The rudeness, unprofessionalism, accusations, and overall tone was putrid. It's amazing they'd treat a long time loyal customer this way. I can only image how they treat customers with only one car of lesser value. Bottom line is Azz Hat is not in Sales. His only function is to avoid paying out on repairs and parts. Save money. If it's something he can claim on Chrysler / FCA warranty, he MAY do it. His "service" center does not generate profit unless he gets you to pay for parts & service. He definitely does NOT care if you ever buy another car there or how much money you've given the Sales Department. In the end, I went and bought a new battery at Auto Zone. This place is a joke.. 2 hours to get a oil change is ridiculous. The salesman didn't even know my truck was a gasser and was gonna put diesel oil in it make sure you talk to them and let them understand what's going on. read more

After looking for a truck for everywhere in the Arlington area I made a call to almost every dealership in town with each call I'm always expecting that "pushy, fast-talking salesman" I called the dealership and they set me up with a saleswoman named Nicole, Nicole gave me honest number for what they would give me for my trade, monthly payments with out having to run my credit and she wasn't telling me lies just to get me in the lot, after exchanging many calls with Nicole about the deal, I came into the dealership and test drove the truck (I didn't think I was gonna even like the truck and I knew I wasn't buying that day) after the test drive, we sat down and looked at numbers I didn't feel 100% confident in the numbers and then I met a gentlemen named Abraham he's one of the sales managers at the dealership he assured me that the numbers were going to be very close, we agreed on letting them run my credit and Abraham and Nicole were both right! Nicole and Abraham are both very professional, they are not there to make you regret anything. They were the only reps I met at this dealership but if there're team is just as honest, and carry the same integrity, this dealership will be going a long way! read more
