Bibimbap was yummy and came out sizzling hot. Tofu didnt taste that fresh. They aren't that thorough when it come to food allergies so not sure if I'd recommend if you have serious allergies to seafood. Service was nice and the vibe is fun.

Underwhelming and totally overpriced! My friend wanted to try something new and Miss Korea BBQ has amazing reviews. Having eaten there now, I have no idea why. Located on the south side of 32nd St's K-town, Miss Korea BBQ is on the 2nd and 3rd floors. They used gas grills in the table (vs wood briquettes which definitely provide a better flavor). The wait staff moves fast and are efficient. They are used to handling as we saw lots of large parties at other tables. Miss Korea BBQ serve the typical banchan, side dishes that are served ahead of the main dishes: Kongnamul (seasoned soybean sprouts), Eomuk bokkeum (fried fishcake), broccoli, kimchee (spicy pickled cabbage), scallion salad, etc. We ordered the marinated grill platters: pork belly, short ribs, galbi, bulgogi, prime ribeye. The stone pot bibimbap bulgogi lacked the crispy rice edges. The Sundubu Jjigae, Korean spicy tofu soup, was delicious. The BBQ portions were small and the prices high - probably spent almost a quarter or double what we spend at other Korean BBQs. Overall the food was good but just not as good as other nearby Korean BBQ places and way pricier.

We came here kind of early at 5-5:30 on a Saturday- and the restaurant was beginning to get full. Service was fast, a little too fast because they actually cooked our meats too fast for us to keep up with eating it (I think because it wasn't super busy yet) so our meats ended up cold and dried. We ordered the non-marinated meat set (S), cold buckwheat noodles, and soju flight. The side dishes were actually all good and unique, and the soup typically has doenjang but theirs didn't which felt lighter and we actually preferred it. We were honestly overwhelmed with the amount of side dishes and things on the table but in a good way. Buckwheat noodles could have been sweeter in my opinion but was still refreshing- also had a unique subtle taste. Soju flight was fun but not really worth the price. Overall good food, but it came out to $260 with tip and tax so.. I'm not sure if that was the most worth it given the meat quality wasn't mind blowing.

Found this place because we were starving after a New Year's party, so it was the first meal of the year, and of course, it had to be Korean! They are open 24 hours and advertise themselves as one of the best KBBQs in the city, which seems to be true, as it was packed when we arrived, and we had to wait about 30+ minutes, which wasn't terrible given the day. We got a good seat and were greeted right away by our server, and after placing our order, we got our banchans (see pictures). Keep in mind this is not an AYCE spot like in Flushing, so we got the pork fried dumplings and marinated beef short ribs, and it comes with free rice. The ribs arrived, and our server was on top of it, grilling them and cutting them up for us. Taste-wise, it was good; I feel like the seasoning could have been more flavorful. It seemed mild. And kimchi was not spicy either, so that didn't help boost it. Overall, we enjoyed the food, and the service is fast.

I love coming here for their lunch special. The service is quick and their meat quality is excellent. What more do you want from a Korean BBQ joint? I always come here during the lunch and the prices cant be beat. For the 4 of us we ordered 2 orders of galbi, pork belly and some Korean seafood pancakes. The pancakes could have been more crispy but overall it was an excellent lunch.

I feel I'm scammed. The meat is bad quality, it's a bit turning grey. The sauce is horrible! You get three sauces and all three are bad, if you smell the middle orange one it's stinky. The little dishes are so sad, they dare to charge 170 and about 300 for two, I hated and feel disgusted afterwards, totally a scam! Taste 0, quality 0. Ewwww

This was my first meal of the year, and it was a great choice. After New Year's Eve, a friend and I decided to celebrate the new year in style, so we chose this spot. They bill themselves as one of the best Korean barbecue bars in the city, and I can definitely see why. We ordered the short rib with all the fixings, including kimchi, bok choy, rice, and more, and it came out to about $75. The wait time for the food itself was actually pretty quick. The sit-down wait was longer since I did not have a reservation and just walked in, but once we were seated, the food cooked fast on the grill. For a hot spot, that is a big plus. The space is modern without being in-your-face Korean. You still get the vibes. I really liked the aesthetic. Lots of wood, very sleek, almost like a secret fortress with glass seating everywhere. Very cool.

Got the beef combo. I thought the meats were mostly really good (I think the short ribs), except the last one was very mid and really brought the entire combo down. It was a marinated bulgogi which was very mid. Service was awesome though, and getting a reservation was pretty easy. Solid kbbq restaurant but a little pricy for sure.

The food was so good it was worth the money, the wait didn't feel long, We loved our waiter Raul he was very social able and friendly towards us and even the hostess was super kind and friendly I really enjoyed the hotpot/bbq experience!!

Today I had the pleasure of catching up with some former colleagues from Deutsche Bank over a Korean BBQ dinner in Koreatown. We decided to try a spot called Miss Korea, located on the second floor of a building that houses several other businesses including a few bars. It has a nice energy to it before you even sit down. The meat was excellent. Honestly, great Korean BBQ starts with a good cut of beef, and once that is on the grill the experience tends to take care of itself. Miss Korea delivers on that front without question. The rice was flavorful as well, though notably spicy, which is not really my personal preference. The dumplings followed the same profile, bold and spicy, and while they tasted good I found myself reaching for water more than I would have liked. My friends had a completely different reaction. Their response to my spice concerns was essentially "what spicy?" which tells you everything you need to know. Heat tolerance is personal, and if you enjoy bold spicy flavors you will probably love everything on this menu without reservation. For me the highlight was less about the food and more about the company. There is something genuinely refreshing about sitting down with old friends, catching up, and sharing a good meal. Miss Korea provided a solid backdrop for exactly that kind of afternoon. If you are in Koreatown and looking for a solid Korean BBQ experience, Miss Korea is worth checking out, especially if spice is your thing.

They were really accommodating of large groups (8+ people) and quick with service. Had a few different cuts not memorable or the highest quality, but fair pricing and hit the spot!

Had an amazing early dinner here last Sunday after a long day at the MET. I'm am so happy to have picked this place by chance. I have become obsessed by Korean Cuisine and this definitely made my day. I will be back again and again and the fact that they are open 24 hours makes me excited for summer nights in the city. Can't remember my servers name but he was so friendly and was wonderful with all our needs.

However, my cousin is the opposite and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, greens, and biscuit. I didn't care for the greens, but the biscuit and pulled pork was excellent. My sister had the ribs, greens, and dirty rice. She didn't like any of her food. She said the ribs had a lot of gristle. There was very little meat on the bone. I tasted the rice and agreed with her assessment. It wasn't that good. Our cousin had the chicken, mac-n-cheese, and baked beans. She liked her food. My cousin had been to Virgil's before many years ago and said this experience mirrored past ones. We all ordered dessert as well. i had the strawberry shortcake, which wasn't great. The strawberries were fresh, and I liked the whipped cream, but the "shortcake" was actually the same biscuit that was served with my meal. It wasn't sweet enough and just didn't work well. I ended up picking over the dessert, so most of it went to waste. My sister had the key lime pie which she didn't like. My cousin had the banana pudding which she enjoyed. Overall, the experience got mixed reviews, but I'd visit Virgil's again in the future for sure. The bill ended up being about $150 plus, if I recall correctly, because we ordered alcoholic beverages as well.

Since our program covered the expenses, we didn't pay anything out of pocket. Now I enjoy a good BBQ cookout at home as much as the next family, but don't care for it as a dining experience. Our dinnerware resembled army mess tins lined with sanitary papers; our glasses resembled moonshine jars complete with screw threads at the rim for lids. Our dinner was a catered set of longhorn cheddar mac & cheese (quite good), sliced brisket (meh), market chicken (a little tough), fresh baked cornbread (dry & hard) and collard greens (good but could be saltier). I consumed massive amounts of mac & cheese and collared greens to help swallow down the almost rock-hard cornbread. Desert was chocolate chip cookies (that wasn't bad). Some members of the group ordered liquor (at their own expense) to celebrate the good time they were having. Customer service was less than stellar. The waitress did not inform us that soft drinks were complimentary until after we finished eating. That wasn't all. The restroom was located downstairs past the bar room. During my two visits - before and after the food was served - the same staff member was there cleaning. He had just finished the sinks when I went in the first time. On the second visit, the front door was blocked from the inside by a pail - he was mopping the floor. Couldn't he have waited till the off-peak hours to do that?? Customer service and cornbread were enough for me to not recommend this restaurant.

We were early too, they seated us, and then they came by to ask if we wanted to place an order about 4-5 times before the party was completely there. And when we wanted to order more food, at the 45 minute mark, they had to "check if there was time left" on our reservation. I understand they're very busy and have bookings, but it was only about 45 minutes in. Anyways, the experience itself was great. They cooked all our food for us and everything was great quality. Banchans were refreshed and refilled - sometimes without being asked. We were very well taken care of. The pancake was good as well as the tartare. HIghlight was definitely the meat and banchans though. We all got ice cream at the end and birthday boy even got a candle in his with some sprinkles. Super cute and very nice of them.

NOT IMPRESSED…read more Stopped in for a quick lunch around 1:00 PM and I was extremely disappointed with the service and food quality. When I arrived, there were only a few other customers seated in the dining room. That should have been a RED flag, but I wanted to try the burgers while visiting New York. My wife had the Classic Burger topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, house sauce served with fries for $19.95 and I had the Smash-ology Burger with double smash burger patties topped with American cheese, red onion, lettuce tomato, smash-ology sauce on a potato bun served with fries for $19.95. First, the burgers are very small, lack flavor and there is nothing special about them. I've had a better tasting burger from Steak & Shack for a fraction of the cost. The fries were very cold and looked like they were sitting on a holding table for an extended period. I sent the fries back only to be served with more cold fries. Service was also lacking. When I complained about the cold fries, the server didn't seem to be pleased and was very hesitant to take them back. At a cost of more than $45 for two burgers and fries, I expected more.
