    House Special Angus Beef

Solid Chinese bbq food. Loved the house special grilled pineapples and the wagyu. The non-bbq food was also very good--I loved the seafood pancake and the beef rib soup. The tofu soup was also good. Not sure how it's different from kbbq to be honest, but regardless it was good. We walked in Saturday at 5 PM for a group of four but it filled up quickly after that. The interior is nice, and they grill the foods for you.

Always looking for a new places to eat...came across Three Kingdoms Xita BBQ and decided to try during its soft opening. Prime location in the Theater District and corner of 50th and 8th Ave...can't miss it! Overall food and service were good. Decor is nice, seating for groups of two, four and six mainly for the hot bbq cooking. Just two of us for dinner so only had a couple of items. Special thanks to our server Toni who did all the cooking for us and changed the grill in between cooking the beef. Good variety of beef options for bbq to cook and share, a couple of options for chicken and pork. Beverages: Non-alcoholic beverages on the menu. Fresh green tea lemonade was good. After you order for you, your server brings out peanuts and the sauces. Pickled radish was very good. Started with the Seafood pancake served with sesame oil - very good and highly recommend to share. Seafood pancakes comes sliced into 8 pieces. Beef: We had the American Wagyu and the Signature beef with pineapple. American Wagyu was good...could use a tad more seasoning or maybe add salt. Signature beef with pineapple was delicious. Recommending ordering. Note: be careful of being in the "splatter" zone when meat is being cooked or flipped. Order some sides as well - rice, lettuce, and mushrooms. All the utensils, cups, tongs, were all "gold" color which was cool. Two unisex restrooms in the back and very clean. Didn't leave the place smelling like BBQ, which is a plus. Looking forward to coming back and trying other items from the menu.

Nice place for Chinese BBQ. I saw an ad on Instagram for BOGO lunch special in January and decided to try it out. We had the pork belly which comes with 6 slices of pork belly per portion. It was nice that it wasn't super fatty and you could still grill it yourself. It was paired nicely with a black pepper sauce. It was served with a salad, rice and an egg. Can't wait to return and have a full meal with different meats.

4 stars for the overall dining experience. I happened to find this place while walking to the train station on 8th Avenue. It's literally on the corner with it's bright lights and signage. BBQ was what caught my attention. Interior is very nice - well lit, spacious dining area and the booths are very comfy. Each table has a hot grill in the center and with lots of room on both sides for their ban chan and other items you order. At first look, it's a Korean BBQ inspired concept but run by Chinese staff. There's a small bar featuring sake, select whiskey and Josh wines. The prices for the wine by the glass are very reasonable considering the markup these days. This visit I opted for the fruit based green tea drinks and saw that they have fruit flavored slushies. Onto the BBQ, since it was just my hubby and I, we chose three meats and the wagyu beef pineapple fried rice. The best part of the experience was the wait staff - attentive and they do the cooking. (I was fine doing it myself but they were very hands on ). Onto the meats: pork jowl, beef chuck roll, and sliced marble wagyu beef were my picks. It was plenty of food for two and while the menu featured a variety of prix fixe meals for two, for four, etc , I preferred to make my own selections. The sets were a good price for the value and it was definitely a good amount of food. I added asparagus as our veggie choice since everything was meat. But the way, the ban chan offered was pickled radish, boiled peanuts with cubed carrots, and there was garlic, jalapenos, rock salt and a bunch of sauces provided. Each person got two seasoning mixes - the reddish base had a slight chili pepper flavor (not spicy) and the brown/natural colored spices were a classic salt, sesame seeds and spice mix. The sesame paste like sauce with cilantro and scallions was really tasty but I didn't use it much since I prefer little to no sauce. Everything was cooked by Esther and she helped us cut and served the meat to each of us. She even grabbed an extra plate for the cooked meats since we were eating it slowly. Smart so it wasn't stacking up on our plates that we were eating off of. The grapefruit green tea I ordered had real pieces of grapefruit in it. And my hubby got the passion fruit green tea. Served in glasses with handles, very refreshing with the right amount of ice. We enjoyed this meal very much given we were just passing by and found it by chance.

Love the Pyongyang style cold noodles there - so very good. Also the pickled cabbage and radish - really refreshing and tasty. They serve complimentary boiled peanuts which are also tasty. Can't speak to bbq dishes as I don't really eat bbq meats. But the cold noodles are great. They also have Chinese fruit teas there. I will be back.

Coming in the restaurant, we are greeted by the waiters. They are friendly and ask the questions of any drink and allergies we might have. Then let us see our menu and brought the drinks. The sever cooked our meats, and very thing we ordered. He even mixed the rice bowl for us and serve them in a bowl for 2 of us. Super professional and very friendly all though. I love the foods. At the end, we both 1 coupon of each us to eat an ice cream at Mi Xue restaurant next door.

If we didn't check what we got we would have been missing one. They were able to give another lamb skewer for us though, but unfortunately didn't get to try what we originally ordered. The meat was well seasoned with cumin and other spices, but some of the lamb pieces I had were largely fatty and hard to chew. With a price of $2 per skewer, we ordered 1 beef, 2 lamb, 1 chicken gizzard, and 1 chicken skewers. They cook all skewers to order and take credit payment (tap). If you want to pay in cash, make sure you have the exact amount. The meat was so flavorful and the fat was rendered beautifully off of the meat! I'm docking 1 star because they had accidentally given us 4 skewers instead of 5 that we ordered when they gave up the skewers wrapped in tin foil, anddddd after consuming the skewers did we realize we did not get the variety we ordered, but instead 4 lamb and 1 chicken gizzard. The lamb was honestly so delicious though we weren't even mad!

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

I saw that they have music on certain days so if you interested in some music come check it out. We ordered the two meat meal with greens, mac n cheese, and corn bread. They didn't have any pork belly burnt ends ready so that was a bummer. The food came out fairly quick which was nice. Everything looked really good. The brisket was cooked perfect and nice fatty parts to it if you like that. There was some good smoke to it and nice seasoning to it. The ribs were a little overcooked and not much meat on them. The mac n cheese was really good, nice amount of cheese, noodles cooked perfect, and nice seasoning in it. The greens were also cooked perfect, not mushy, great flavor, and also seasoned right. The cornbread was off the hook, very tasty with great flavor. I like that they mixed corn in the cornbread. We also ordered the Banana Wafer Pudding which was delicious. NIce flavor and the wafers were fresh and crunchy, I just needed more of them. We tried to wait for Pork Belly burnt ends but we had to go. The BBQ sauces were just ok, nothing to say hey you have to try it. I'd definitely be back to this place if I'm in town. Don't know why they only have 3.5 stars. The service was also good. I so wanted to give a 5 star but I just couldn't.

Since our program covered the expenses, we didn't pay anything out of pocket. Now I enjoy a good BBQ cookout at home as much as the next family, but don't care for it as a dining experience. My employer catered BBQ luncheons from time to time, and even then I wasn't crazy about it. Here in Hill Country, a room was reserved for us (party of 36). Our dinnerware resembled army mess tins lined with sanitary papers; our glasses resembled moonshine jars complete with screw threads at the rim for lids. Our dinner was a catered set of longhorn cheddar mac & cheese (quite good), sliced brisket (meh), market chicken (a little tough), fresh baked cornbread (dry & hard) and collard greens (good but could be saltier). I consumed massive amounts of mac & cheese and collared greens to help swallow down the almost rock-hard cornbread. Desert was chocolate chip cookies (that wasn't bad). Some members of the group ordered liquor (at their own expense) to celebrate the good time they were having. Customer service was less than stellar. The waitress did not inform us that soft drinks were complimentary until after we finished eating. That wasn't all. The restroom was located downstairs past the bar room. During my two visits - before and after the food was served - the same staff member was there cleaning. He had just finished the sinks when I went in the first time. On the second visit, the front door was blocked from the inside by a pail - he was mopping the floor. Couldn't he have waited till the off-peak hours to do that?? Customer service and cornbread were enough for me to not recommend this restaurant.

When I arrived, there were only a few other customers seated in the dining room. That should have been a RED flag, but I wanted to try the burgers while visiting New York. My wife had the Classic Burger topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, house sauce served with fries for $19.95 and I had the Smash-ology Burger with double smash burger patties topped with American cheese, red onion, lettuce tomato, smash-ology sauce on a potato bun served with fries for $19.95. First, the burgers are very small, lack flavor and there is nothing special about them. I've had a better tasting burger from Steak & Shack for a fraction of the cost. The fries were very cold and looked like they were sitting on a holding table for an extended period. I sent the fries back only to be served with more cold fries. Service was also lacking. When I complained about the cold fries, the server didn't seem to be pleased and was very hesitant to take them back. At a cost of more than $45 for two burgers and fries, I expected more.
