I have to politely disagree with the reviews before me as I found the gelato overrated and overpriced compared to other shops around Rome. Agree the interior is cute and very "IG selfie ready," but the flavors we tried were bland and uninspiring. I requested the smallest cone possible and chose pistachio and vanilla. The vanilla was boring and too sweet and the pistachio was my least favorite in all of Italy with no nutty flavor or taste of pistachio whatsoever. Also, the pricing was really ridiculous, 4 euros for two tiny scoops. My husband ordered chocolate, strawberry, and something else that was forgettable. The chocolate tasted like I was eating whole scoops of pure unsweetened cocoa powder at every lick, ugh. For three flavors his total was a whopping 7 euros, yikes! Together we regretfully spent 11 euros for takeaway gelato that turned out to the worst of our 17 day tour of Italy. There are so many better and more affordable options for gelato in this neighborhood, stay away. read more

I loved this place about 3 years ago for their fresh-filled cannoli and gelato. Unfortunately, this time around, the shells were all this burnt color so I didn't get a cannoli (it looked horrifying). The gelato is still one of my favorites. However, a cone of gelato will run you about 8 euros (!!!!) and the cone will be stale and taste like cardboard. We stopped in here for a quick "cool down" snack after walking from the coliseum to the pantheon to the trevi fountain in the scorching hot 92degree Rome sun. We were absolutely not disappointed. Came in for our morning cafe espresso. After we finished, we tried to get the attention of anybody who we could pay our tab to. A woman walked up and said "Yes?!" My husband told her what we had "two espressos" and she charged us 6€. This was surprising considering it says .90€ on the menu. Close to the Parthenon - nice selection of homemade gelati with a special treat - a chocolate fountain for topping your cone. Looks new and has a few tables if you decide to sit and enjoy your special treat. Be sure to get the panna (fresh whip cream) to fully take in this classic Italian delight. read more

Hands down the BEST cannoli in all of Italy!!! There was a location near our hotel in Rome and in Florence so of course I had to check them both out! The employees are very friendly and speak good English! You simply must try a cannoli with 1/2 pistachio filling and the other 1/2 with the ricotta with both ends dipped in chocolate chips!! All the desserts and pastries were so adorable, I was sad we came here on our way out for the day and didn't have any way to buy extras and keep them cool. What made the place ridiculous was one of the servers extorting an extra 2 euro while we were already seated and enjoying our gelato. I visited Don Nino two weeks ago and the Pistachio Gelato was by far the best I've had to date. The Gelato here is very fresh. Worth a visit, especially if you're staying in one of the Hotels close by. Wish we had a Don Nino in New York. It's that good. Try with waffle cone. read more

Found this place on yelp and it was a big disappointment. Don't let the cutie decor fool you. We sat down and waited and waited until we tracked someone down to get service. Which is ridiculous when your paying extra to get service. We had two types of cannolis which were not good. Which is disappointing when you can get better cannolis at a supermarket in the USA. We also tried the tiramisu, which was most delicious. Served with two cappuccinos, we were in heaven! We were pleased that the service was much better than what we had already experienced in Roma. Being a same sex couple who do not speak Italian, we have been met with a lot of blunt, less than friendly service. Got to the Pantheon before it opened so went to find somewhere for a coffee and found this little gem. Had a Nutella croissant and expresso for breakfast which was delicious, so went back after the pantheon and got a canelloni, which are made fresh in front of you. lovely staff, beautiful decor, delicious food! read more

Good stuff, but don't sit down! I came across this place while walking in this beautiful part of town late in the evening. I order a tiramisu (€3.50) and an espresso (€0.90) at the counter and I proceeded to pay at cash register (in Italy one needs to get the famous "scontrino" in order to collect his order). The cashier abruptly asked me if I was going to sit down in one of the few tables inside, and when I replied yes, he proceeded to charge me €7. Now, I have no problem with being charged extra for table service, but having to pay a more than 50% fee for sitting down to consume what I had fetched myself from the counter is ridiculous. If I ever come back (the tiramisu was really good), I'll seat somewhere in the gorgeous piazza outside. read more
