Papá a la huancaina con yucca frita

Im giving it 3 stars purely due to service. Our waitress took our drink order. One person was still deciding. She brought our drinks, she took our appetizer order and the one additional drink. After 10 minutes my husband went to the bartender, waitress never put the drink in. Bartender was super apologetic and delivered the drink himself. She finally showed and took our dinner order. I will say I was impressed the food all came out at the same time and it was right. No issues or complaints on the food. The portions are huge and always very tasty. The fruit in the sangria was cut so small it continued to get stuck in the straw. I ended up scooping it out. The waitress never came back. The place is losing out, we could've used a second drink but by the time she showed up we asked for to go containers and the check. Place was nicely decorated for the 4th of July and they had a singer singing good ol American tunes. They would be a lot busier if they can get better service.

This place is so cute! The people are so friendly and the place while small still has about 20 tables and a full bar area. The food was good and the menu has so many options. I ordered the skirt steak with the fried egg, rice and fries. I also tried the stuffed avocado for an appetizer. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more items.

Don Pepe is truly a delicious and amazing Peruvian restaurant right in Central Jersey with wonderful service and even better food! I ordered the whole chicken with rice and beans and papa rellena and it was delicious! I was recommended this restaurant by my student and she told me I needed to try Peruvian food ASAP, and I'm so glad she recommended this spot to me. Though I didn't dine in, I went in to pick up the food and it's a cute, clean restaurant and also has a nice outdoor seating/ patio area too! I can't wait to come back soon!

I would really give it a 3.5 for today's experience . The food 1/2 chicken and rice came out freezing . I asked them to warm it up and they did but had to wait another 15 min and didn't say sorry , no discount, nothing. After that they didn't clean up the plates or anything. They charged us for the freezing huancaina sauce $7 and when i asked them to warm it up they said they couldn't . The place is pretty and pisco punch was good. The music also was really good for those who like Latin music. Waitress didn't have an attitude but customer service was below average after the cold rice and chicken incident. Also no bus boy/person. The thing with Spanish restaurants and some restaurants that they treat the non-Latin customers better than their own. When are trying to do is support. Also when there's a big table they then forget about the small tables. Other than that the vibe music and drink was good. Food was very good too, just was cold like had been sitting ac for a long time. No wonder food took a while to come out

We had about 16 people for a semi-private gathering, and the setup worked perfectly. Huge thanks to Siya, who helped plan everything and made the process easy. The co-owner Sunil checked in to make sure everything was running on time, which I really appreciated. Service was on point--Tony helped us get started, and Roleen made sure everything kept flowing smoothly. Food-wise, everything delivered. The buffet was fresh and flavorful, and we added tandoori shrimp and lamb chops à la carte--both were excellent. Kudos to Chef and owner Ruby Bhalla The place has a fun, upscale NYC vibe, especially on nights with live music. Also appreciated the thoughtful birthday wishes from the team--it made the night feel even more special. Definitely a go-to spot for celebrations.

Oh so close to being a new go to for Indian food yet read on to see why it's not . . …read more Let me start by pointing out the positives - we ordered take out via their website and it worked perfectly. Food was ready ahead of the promised time, I was greeted super courteously and felt very welcome, the ambiance was very upscale and lastly the food was absolutely delicious. You may be asking why not rate them 5 stars? Well it is a matter of principle. We ordered somosas, chicken 65, tandoori shrimp koliwada appetizer and buttered chicken, and buttered naan - all in around $90. The portion size ridiculously small. The shrimp appetizer was 6 medium sized shrimp for $30 - so $5 a shrimp !!! The buttered chicken was supposed to be a dinner portion, yet came in a container the same size as the appetizers and maybe a cups worth of basmati rice if that. Bad move - thy are in Jamesburg - not Princeton - not Redbank - not NYC. Thankfully there are many other options in the area - not here to advertise them but they are easy to find. Worth a try? Yes maybe - the food will not disappoint - but you will feel taken advantage of when you see how little you are getting for your money.

You can sit at tables or the large bar, we chose the former. The service was very good, accommodating and friendly. The food was nicely executed. My lamb shank was tender and tasty. I sampled the steak and thought it was nicely cooked, loaded with flavor and also very tender. The brie was tasty, and didn't seem to heavy, which was surprising as it was deep fried. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular here.

I literally said to myself as I drove around Somerville that I wish there was a wine or cocktail bar for...mature people like myself to chill at. So I looked up wine bars and boom - VintEdge was right down the street. I came in around 9pm, picked a comfy seat by the window, and ordered. Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. Once we figured that out, she got us some food to go and we ate here at home. Verdict: -excellent seating options - stools, couches, chairs -food is so so good. Tartare, truffle fries. Fig jam pizza -drinks include awesome bottles and seasonal takes on old favorites This could be my new spot.

Very cool that Venue 618 was the only NJ restaurant to make the recent Yelp Top 100 restaurants in the US. Sitting at the bar, we were served by Zoey, Steve, and Mike. They've re-done their cocktail menu to include beautiful color illustrations. I enjoyed "One in a Melon," a well-balanced whiskey cocktail with Frank August small batch bourbon, melon, poblano pepper, Aperol, and lime. This was followed by a tasty whiskey sour. My wife ordered a Lemon Drop martini, followed by a decadent chocolate-pistachio dessert martini. All of the cocktails were well-balanced and delicious. On the food side, I munched on a baked macaroni & cheese with chorizo. It was perfect! The Death of Hospitality brand thrives on personalization and unexpected surprises. Mixologist Steve, realizing that I'm a whiskey afficionado, surprised me with a small pour of Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel bourbon. This is a difficult bottle to find in New Jersey. Rock Hill Farms was incredible, with a super long finish. Thanks for the memories 618!
