We've wanted to try and my husband finally stopped by to order to go! I really loved the salmon bowl! It was moist and prepared perfectly- seemed like a medium temperature. The teriyaki flavor had a little sweetness, but not salty. Chicken teriyaki bowl was also filling and tasted good. Appetizers of bbq karage chicken had some spice and the gyoza tasted good but I think the dipping sauce was missing? The burger cooked medium. (next time I'll probably get well) and was large, had a mayo sauce, tomatoes, and lettuce included, and my husband asked for a side of raw onions. The regular fries were substituted with sweet potato fries that had a touch of salt and tasted great! Great service, friendly, fast, clean restaurant, and convenient near other shops and errands! Looking forward to stopping by again!

We absolutely loved Don Rice Bar in Henderson! It's tucked into a little neighborhood strip mall, and the restaurant was busy, very clean, and had such a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Ochazuke, which is grilled salmon over rice with a green tea dashi broth, bonito, ikura, and nori. I left off the ikura, which are the little salmon roe eggs. It was delicious. They pour the warm, flavorful broth over the rice, and it's so comforting and satisfying. If you want more broth, they'll even refill it for you. My husband ordered the Ribeye Steak Don, an 8 oz ribeye with a miso butter glaze over rice. He said the steak was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely nice. We really enjoyed everything about this place and will definitely be back.

Don Rice Bar is a new restaurant located on Green Valley and Horizon Ridge. You'll find them near Target shopping center by Tropical Smoothie Cafe, next to Starbucks Coffee and Pure Barre. There's plenty of parking. Soft opening was on August 21, 2026. Inside is dimly lit with good seating for a table and bench seat. There's a nice patio with outdoor seating too. Atmosphere is relaxing. They have awesome R&B music playing in the background. Menu offers a nice selection of rice bowls, premium burgers and hot dogs, izakaya, salads, and kids menu. I did a custom order for Japanese Sesame Salad ($10) which includes a choice of protein. Instead of the meat options, I asked if they could do Fried Tofu (+$3). The owner Nate is so nice to accommodate, I appreciate it! Japanese Sesame Salad is very refreshing and wonderfully delicious! It has shredded crunchy cabbage that's lightly tossed in a delightful sesame dressing, topped with chopped scallions, crispy wontons, and four pieces of lightly crisp and soft Fried Tofu, amazingly good and so YUM! The owner came by and asked how everything was. I told him I love the Japanese Salad, super light, crunchy, and fresh, and it's not drenched in dressing, very appetizing! He brought a side of sesame dressing just in case I want to add more on the salad and I appreciate that, sesame dressing is umami-rich and terrific! Agedashi Tofu (6 pieces, $7) is very tasty! It's deep-fried breaded tofu with chopped scallions, served with a sweet soy dipping sauce, and yummy pickled carrots and radish. I also tried Katsu Spam Musubi (4 pieces, $9) and requested sauce on the side, which is spicy mayo and sweet teriyaki sauce. Katsu spam musubi has a beautiful crispy crunch with nicely cooked spam, crunchy black sesame seeds, and chopped scallions, so good! I'm happy the sauce is on the side, spicy mayo and teriyaki are great as dips! Service from Bella, owner Nate, and Jizelle is very kind, welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and pleasant!

When I saw this on IG, I immediately knew I wanted to try it. It wasnt far from me, and I'm always around that Target area so it was a no-brainer for lunch one day. We ordered the chicken karaage, salmon ochazuke, and the steak bowl (med rare, of course) okay, they were all quite flavorful and tasty! The steak was a little fatty yes, but that's the best part. It's a ribeye, what do you expect? The salmon was a little on the dry side, just a little. I also wished it had more ikura. The broth was comforting, but could have used just a touch more salt. They provide refills for the broth. The chicken karaage was also very flavorful with a nice mayo sauce. Super casual place, a little confusing if we were supposed to clean up after ourselves and our trays, or leave them. The bad... everything's kinda pricey, eeeesh. Order at the counter type of really casual place, but the price doesn't match that vibe. High 3's for me, a generous 4. I'd have to try more items to fully make up my mind, but sheesh. PRICING.

Such a cute little spot in the Anthem area! We tried a bunch of different items so we could get a good taste of the menu, and everything was really nicely presented. My favorites were definitely the oyakodon and the Spam musubi, both were so good and ended up being the dishes I kept going back to. The food was really pretty, the service was great, and the whole place had a cute, welcoming feel. Definitely a fun little spot to check out if you're in the Anthem area! I am looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other items on the menu!

My wife and I had a late dinner last night and decided to try this new place. When we entered we went straight to a counter where you ordered your food. It was casual dining with some benches and tables as well as a counter table if you wanted to eat solo. I ordered the Rib Eye steak Don and my wife ordered the Ochazuke. They were delicious. This place is a little hole in the wall tucked inside a strip mall, but is worth going to. Highly recommended if you're looking for Japanese rice bowl. They a also serve burgers.

Cute space with easy parking, walk up ordering, and quick service. My wife enjoyed the chicken and pickled radish in her bowl. Shu mai were a bit different; would've preferred more chunks of shrimp. Goyza lacked flavor. We liked that everything was so fresh!

Frankly, I am not one to go to a new food establishment, the first couple of weeks it is open. I like to give them time to work out the kinks and stabilize, prior to trying them out. If you have read any of my other reviews, you will know that one of my favorite quick bites is gyudon. So to have a place like this that is literally minutes away from my home made me forgo the wait. When I saw their sign go up, I could not resist trying them out the weekend they opened. They are located in the Target shopping center on Green Valley Parkway, next door to Starbucks. I went there late Sunday evening. And as expected, they were sold out of some of their offerings. Namely they were out of their Salmon Don and Ribeye Steak Don. Being sold out of some things to me is a good sign, that business was brisk the first weekend! The place makes a nice first impression. It was clean and organized. There was ample seating on the inside and it looks like they have a nice little area for outside patio dining. They have sports on their screen, so you can pass the time as they freshly prepare your food. I order the Gyudon and the Mapo Tofu Don, along with an order of the Gyoza to go. On the 3 minute drive home, the aroma of my order permeated throughout the car. It made my stomach growl! I got the food inside and open up the containers to inspect their contents. Started with the gyoza. They were good and properly cooked, steamed first and then seared crispy on the bottom. Good, authentic flavors for the dumplings. 6-pieces for $7.00 is a good value for this appetizer. I ordered the gyudon with light green onions and extra red ginger. There was still a lot of green onions, but it was not too overpowering. The fried egg included was a little bit well done for my taste. I like to have a yolk that will spill over onto the beef and rice. First bite was pretty delicious. The flavors were good and adding a little togarashi at home topped it off well! The rice was a tad overcooked (i.e. mushy) but the bowl was very good. Portion for the price of the bowl was well above average. There was a little room for improvement here, but no red flags found! The Mapo Tofu smelled amazing. I like a little more heat when I order Mapo Tofu, but the flavors were on point here. Again, same batch of rice, so it was a little mushy. The amount of ground pork they provided was almost too much...where I kind of thought, I wish there was more tofu. Again, room for very minor improvement, but an excellent value when you consider the portions provided. I am glad that Don Rice Bar moved to the neighborhood. The staff was friendly and did a great job. I know it is going to get better over time and look forward to trying them again in a few weeks. I will update this review when I do.

I'm here for the soft opening and I ordered the ochazuke. It's a grilled salmon bowl with a green tea dashi broth poured on top. It comes garnished with bonito, ikura, and nori. I've been to Japan and this brought me back! It tasted super authentic and yes I ordered a hot soup dish in the middle of summer lol. Their menu has a bunch of options! Not only donburi bowls, but they also have hotdogs, burgers, and Izakaya options! The restaurant has a great amount of seating and tables, a beverage bar with Japanese soft drinks. Soon to serve beer, wine, and sake. There's also an outdoor patio which would be great to enjoy when the weather cools down. The staff was incredibly nice and the chef came out to pour the dashi for my bowl. Overall it's a great experience and I would definitely reccomend it :)

My first time trying authentic Japanese rice bowl! And it's the brain child of the head chef at a major Asian restaurant in town. It's a super friendly atmosphere right as you enter. The decor looks very modern yet comfortable. Plenty of room to sit. Music is in the background but not too loud. This feels like the perfect restaurant for this area of town: classy, clean, not some hole in the wall or major corporate chain restaurant. I got a Oyakodon, they are the only restaurant in town making these. Eggs, chicken, rice, and onions. It's so delicious that I'm regretting writing this review instead of eating first. My wife got a Spicy Yakiniku Don. It's a HEAVY bowl. I tried and bite and almost ended up forcing my pregnant wife to eating nothing while I took over both bowls. The kids got a teriyaki and Katsu chicken Don. Large portions and my picky kids were eating in total silence as they stuffed themselves. We will be back for sure! This is the best!

So I checked this spot while I was out in Vegas and it was easy to find with plenty of parking when I arrived. I got the spicy beef bowl as recommended and the food took about 10 mins to prepare. The servers were super friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere and the food was solid.

This little spot just opened and I'm already a fan. Couple things I loved , all food is served quickly and efficiently in to go boxes. The lids were over by the napkins and utensils. There were tons of Japanese snacks walking up to order which was great to munch on something while the food was prepared. We ordered the burger , the katsu masubi and the spicy rice bowl. The burger was heavenly , sweet potato bun ...chefs kiss and kid approved. The spam dish was pure comfort. Calling all Mama's this place was made for a great lunch or dinner with the kids! An entire outdoor area with twinkle lights , grass and tvs! I'll be here with the kiddos as soon as the weather allows it.
