I do not want any server to be punished, because there is clearly something going on with training and/or staffing. All the servers have been very nice, and I believe are doing the best they can with the tools they have. But I've had the same bad experience at Sushi Mon on Maryland the last 3 times I've been in, and at this point I feel like I need to speak up. I've been going to Sushi Mon for years, and every single visit we get random food dropped off at our table that we didn't order. On the surface this doesn't seem like a big deal, because someone in the group can usually eat it. But it is actually a very big problem, because that food was meant for another table so now that party didn't get what they ordered; and this is the crux of my complaint. Normally I go with a group of 4-6 people, but these last 3 visits have only been two of us. I order the AYCE sushi and my husband orders off the non-sushi menu. I will place my 1st round of food when he orders his, and I usually get what I ordered. I will order my 2nd round when the 1st is dropped off. I NEVER get what I ordered on the 2nd round. They usually get one correct item, but the rest are random items (which I can't eat because I have food allergies, so I can't just eat a roll without knowing what in it). So, I have to flag the server down; tell them I didn't order it and repeat what I did order. Even after resubmitting my order more random items will appear. The food runners are like ninjas and drop plates off without stopping, so I can't say anything before they are gone. But today... visit number 3 in this trifecta of poor service. I ordered my first round at the same time as my husband's order. I ordered a cucumber salad, half an Achichi roll, and a Candy Crush Sashimi. I know exactly what time I ordered, because I sent my BFF a text immediately after we ordered. The salad came out super-fast, a few minutes later my husband's non-sushi meal came out and a few minutes after that my 1/2 Achichi roll came out. At that time, I ordered a 1/2 Pastel roll. And then we waited. And waited. Our server seemed to disappear. I eventually flagged down another server and told her I had ordered over half an hour ago and was still waiting. She went to check, when she came back, she unsurprisingly told me my food had been delivered to another table and they were making it now. I told her no, I didn't have time to wait, and I asked for the check. She brought the check and very politely told me she only charged me for lunch instead of dinner. At which point I told her I only ordered the dinner menu because I wanted the Candy Crush Sashimi that never came. We paid and I left hungry. I know, I shouldn't have paid $28.99 for cucumber salad and 1/2 a roll, but I was absolutely over it and just wanted to leave. Like I said, this isn't a one-off situation, it's been the last 3 visits. I told some friends who also frequent there, and they informed me they found a new sushi place, because of these same issues. I'm hoping the owners and managers of Sushi Mon see this and can learn from it, because they are losing customers. I truly believe it's a training issue, like maybe the staff doesn't know the table numbers, or perhaps the sushi chefs can't read the servers handwriting. Either way, I am sad to say this was my last visit there.

There's ample parking. Soft opening was on June 25, 2026. Inside is clean, dimly lit yet inviting with good seating for a booth, and awesome music playing in the background. Menu offers a nice selection of appetizers, soups and noodles, skewers, nigiri sushi, as well as signature rolls, classic rolls, deep fried rolls, baked rolls, spring rolls, poke bowl, and sushi tacos. They have All Day AYCE, pricing is $31.99 everyday. For lunch and late night, pricing is $24.99 from open to 4pm, and 9pm to close. Kids under 4 are Free. I chose A La Carte and ordered Golden Tiger Deep Fried Roll ($12), very filling and amazingly delicious! It's deep fried with tempura, inside has shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, on top is mild spicy crab that's blended with spicy mayo, there's eel sauce and sweet yum yum sauce, the roll is topped with plenty of crispy crunchy bits, so YUM! Also had House Salad ($6) and Gyoza ($4). Gyoza is nicely pan fried golden crispy with moist and seasoned meat served with light sweet dipping sauce, very tasty! House Salad is lovely and wonderfully refreshing! It has fresh crisp greens, crunchy cucumbers, seaweed salad, crisp red onions, topped with juicy ripe tomatoes, avocado, bean sprouts, and a delightful sweet dressing, very good! For dessert, they have mochi, ice cream, and fried banana ice cream. I tried Mango Mochi ($3), it taste kind of like orange and didn't have a distinct mango flavor, but the Strawberry Mochi ($3) is good and yummy! Service from Gigi is very kind, welcoming, attentive, efficient, friendly, and pleasant! She is so nice to check in and made sure everything was okay. I highly recommend visiting them, the atmosphere is relaxing, food is delicious, and they give excellent service!

It was actually raining the day I went, and Rihanna's "Umbrella" ft. Jay-Z was playing in the background, great song! Menu offers a nice selection of appetizers, ramen, rice and curry dishes with a choice of protein for chicken, pork, kurobuta sausage, shrimp, beef, meatloaf, spam, and vegetables. They have other dishes like katsu-don, curry udon, gyudon, and omu curry, and desserts. I ordered Fried Gyoza (5 pieces, $5.75), it's good and tasty! The pork and chicken dumplings were fried crispy and crunchy, and served with a light dipping sauce. I also had Salad ($4.50) and opted for no tofu. It's nice they're accommodating and made the salad pretty with fresh crisp lettuce, shredded carrots, corn, and cherry tomatoes. It was served with a side of delightful and yummy sesame dressing, so tasty and refreshing! I tried Tofu Katsu (4 pieces, $4), which is lightly deep-fried and has soft tofu. This one actually tastes pretty good with the sesame dressing, and very delicious! Croquette ($3.75) is another great item, and one of the most requested too! It's deep-fried crispy with mashed potatoes that's soft and yummy, so good I would order again. For dessert, they have honey toast with vanilla ice cream, green tea and yuzu sorbet, mandarin jello, and homemade tiramisu. I went with ice cream ($4.50). Not here each piece was a culinary deliciousness of flavor. The rolls are not typical all rice little filling. The rice enhanced the filling. No need to use soy sauce! The ginger they supply was so fresh we had 4 servings of it. The restaurant is a 50s style diner, but it doesn't matter what the place looked like with this incredible food. We've NEVER had sushi like this. It's expensive, but you are paying for Japan quality sushi. With all the sushi spots and AYCE places I see why it was so slow.
