Stopped by on Friday and clearly Don Titos wasn't ready for the crowds yet. The bar staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. It's great that happy hour goes until 8 but the front of house staff was confused by reservations and the wait list. Tables were being brought down from the roof to cram people in the crowded bar on the 2nd floor. I've eaten numerous times at Atown and was excited to try Don Titos. Our server was lovely but the food was cold and not very good. The queso fundo was lukewarm and tasted like processed cheese. I understand it being busy but with not that many folks eating, the food should've been way better and at least hot. Looking forward to the rooftop and giving it another try after some growing pains are fixed. read more

This is going to be a good bar addition to the Clarendon area as they have a ton of tequilas, beers, and a rooftop that is going to be great in the summer. However, the food is only so so. Love coming to Don Tito especially with my wife and our baby girl? She's a picky tough eater and she truly enjoys the food especially guacamole and chips rice and beans The tortilla soup was her favorite. I got the Rib Eye Steak nice and tender marinated with a little bit of a sweet finish with crunchy carrots and roasted potatoes / amazing! We also tried the Mac $ Cheese balls really good. Mex-Kopita was a hit also nice fluffy pastry filled with cheese and spinach big fan! To bad I can only give Don Tito 5 starts in my opinion it deserves 6!!!! read more

Place is great. Three floors and a rooftop of fun. Excellent food and a very relaxed atmosphere. Have to get there early if it is a nice day and you want a spot on the roof. Experience: Went here for the first time for a birthday dinner, and loved it. It was great that happy hour runs through 8 pm and is available throughout the whole venue. I booked my reservation on OpenTable, which was relatively seamless. Food: I went here on Taco Tuesday during happy hour. The blood orange margarita on the rocks is delicious, as were the surf and turf tacos. For 2 people, we split a complimentary basket of good chips and salsa, two orders of half-off tacos, and a tres leches cake. We both ordered margaritas as well. We went early for brunch, 11:30. It was hard to get my fiance to go here because he hates the bro crowd, but we had a great meal for a great price and I really liked the booths, tons of toppings for building your own tacos or nachos, or just to add to the other hot foods. I really liked the ceviche and brussel sprouts, chicken enchiladas and I didn't over do it because there was nice light flavorful dishes and then some rich dishes. We didn't build an omelette or quesadilla but its nice to have the option. The dessert station could of been better, but if I had to sacrafice an area, it would be there. I am remiss that I was unable to make this review much earlier, but things have been awfully hectic. A few months ago, I came to your venue with my girlfriend and another friend. My girlfriend is from Thailand and at the time, did not have a U.S. ID so they would not permit her entrance. While I understand that is policy for a lot of clubs, I was understandably frustrated at the time. We moved off to the side out of the line and I complained about it being stupid just amongst ourselves. One of your bouncers overheard and decided to start arguing with me. I was very angry so I was not very nice, but I decided it wasn't worth it and turned around and walked away from the venue, taking my girlfriend by the shoulder and going down the street. Your bouncer then followed us down the street harassing us and yelling at us, but claiming he was just going to the store, while still harassing us. I was worried for my girlfriend's safety and comfort, so I turned around AGAIN to try to get away from him and eventually he left us alone. I have liked your venue in the past, but you need to do some careful looking at the people you hire for security, as their job is supposed to be to de-escalate, not follow people down the street harassing and intimidating them. I was glad, later on that night, that there were plenty of cops that I would have been able to turn to for help, had your security continued to threatened our safety and personal space. Please do some investigation soon or at least vet your existing bouncers. Thanks, I appreciate it. Now that she has a U.S. ID, we'd love to return, but only if your bouncer is dealt with accordingly. Never been to don Tito decided to go check it out Thursday July 14. It is a Very nice venue!!! Although, Whom ever the woman bartender was up on the roof top bar was rude, condescending and unwelcoming. Because of her my friends and I left with a horrible taste in our mouths for this establishment. I myself tend bar and this bartenders service was extremely off putting. Perhaps if I was a guy I would get better service. But I know I did not climb 3 flights of stairs just to get to get disrespected. Like there's not 20 other bars to chose from in this area. The tacos are amazing the flavor combinations and the variety is something you won't find anywhere else in Arlington. Although the first few minutes were a rough start being the only two girls dinning at 10pm on a Sunday the service was a little slow but our waiter definitely upped the customer service after we ordered; had to hail him down before hand. But after all I'm sure being extremely hungry and grumpy because of it didn't help, thanks to Don Titos and their amazing tacos to make my Sunday night ! read more

Great happy hour specials with a diverse cocktail menu ... What's not to like?! My boyfriend and I ordered guac, 2 tacos, ceviche, and sliders. All were delish and the server was very attentive. I went here for lunch and was disappointed by just about everything. The service was slow, the guac terrible and not fresh, the tacos were greasy and low on flavor and the rice and beans were incredibly bland. Mexican food is some of the most flavorful in the world so it boggles my mind as to how everything lacked flavor that was instead replaced with salt. Save your money and go to District Taco instead, your stomach and wallet will thank you. I would give this place one star but the rooftop is pretty cool. read more

My friends and I love Don Tito. It's our go-to Happy Hour place, as well as a great place to watch sports games. The food is excellent - get the tacos or the fried mac n cheese bites. Happy hour specials include $3 tacos ($3 for two large tacos) and discounts on a lot of their other food as well. We like the $5 margaritas during HH. We like the second floor best, but any of them are a lot of fun. It's typically a young crowd, regardless of day. read more

I have enjoyed many HH's at Don Titos over the past couple of years. Yesterday I was very disappointed. Per usual, myself and my colleagues hit the roof top for beer and margaritas. The bartender , May, was wonderful. Upbeat, fun, the whole 9 yards. We left to smoke hookah and returned to the first floor to get food at the bar. The bartender, Alyssa, was the worse bartender I have ever encountered. Being in the military, I have met many. She was sarcastic, rude and just plain nasty. My friend found a bug in his drink and was afraid to tell her because of her bad attitude. I took it upon myself to politely bring it to her attention and she responded "of course, y'all are just trying to find something wrong ." I was furiously by her lack of care. It's unfortunate that they have someone like her to work there . When we asked to speak to the manager, she said he was too busy. It just went downhill. I lost my appetite and just left with a mere I'm sorry from the manager. People like good drinks and a great customer experience ! Someone please give me good suggestions for another bar in Clarendon. Thanks ! read more

I had the ahi taco which had so much seaweed you couldn't taste the ahi and the shrimp po boy taco that had so much slaw and sauce you couldn't taste the shrimp. The prickly pear margarita was delicious but if they stopped being cheap on the main ingredient of the taco I might go back. Not worth the price. read more

I have been to Don Tito's numerous times, this by far has been the worst experience ever. On Tuesday, we went after work to grab a couple of drinks and food. While there we had to wait more than an hour for a table but it was okay as we were enjoying the gorgeous weather and we were having drinks near the bar. The bartender, Brian, was wonderful. He was extremely friendly and attentive, with a great attitude towards the customers. After finally able to sit at a table we waited for our waiter, Eric, for roughly 15 minutes before deciding to ask Brian if there was any food specials, he kindly replied yes, two tacos for $7. When Eric finally showed up we put in our order of tacos, when we got the tab we notice the price discrepancy and we asked why. He mentioned it was due to the timing, so I requested to speak to the manager. When the manager showed up he wasn't helpful and just kept repeating the same thing over and over again about the time. I tried to explain to him that we went by what Brian told us, and that Eric never corrected us. The manager did not care one bit, and his respond was that we must paid the whole tab, I told him I shouldn't be held responsible for the $15 dollar difference. He responded we either pay, or we will get Arlington County involved, so I said okay. While the manager walked away, I walked towards the bar area to ask Brian what was going on, he immediately reacted and went straight to speak to the manager. As I followed him there, I witnessed the manager belittling and talking down to Brian, and basically stating that he didn't care what he had said that someone must pay for the $15 difference. Brian immediately agreed to pay it due to him providing us with the wrong information, when I tried to tell him no, he responded to please let it go and to just enjoy the night. He was amazing and kind to say the least. However, the manager was arrogant, and condescending. I felt threaten, humiliated, harassed and discriminated. We we there to have a good time and instead of handling the situation differently the manager threaten me to call Arlington County, over a price discrepancy of $15, when we had a pretty decent bar tab not including the actual food. I highly recommend to get a better management team in place, as you could potentially hurt your clientele flow. I give thanks to Brian for handling the situation in such mature way, and being the bigger person vs the manager whose arrogance will lead him nowhere. I will not visit Don Tito's any longer and will advise many of my friends, co workers and other people to stay away. read more

This was my first time visiting Don Tito. The place was packed as it was Taco Tuesday. The guacamole, tacos, and margarita were great, but the real highlight of the evening was the service. Tatiana (hope I spelled it correctly) is an outstanding server. Despite the place being packed she managed to provide prompt service, actually engaged in some small talk, made some excellent suggestions, maintained great eye contact both with the customer as well as my food/drink to keep an eye if I needed anything. She was the perfect blend on keeping tabs on her customer without being overbearing or making them feel rushed. Honestly, the best customer service I have received in a long time. She is a true asset to Don Tito's. I look forward to coming back next time I am in town. read more

Made a reservation for a Sunday evening. When we arrived we were seated by the noisy bar as the second floor was 'closed'. Our waiter said it was because of the weather, funny because it is enclosed and the third floor is the roof which okay weather could affect. The hostess said the second floor is always closed on Sunday. Hmmm so they don't really know what is what. Food was decent just not what we expected. If there was a zero I would give this place a zero. No matter what you order they give it to you in a plastic cup. Place looks nice but you're better off at a nearby place like Whitlow's. You order draft and they serve it to you in a pint glass at Whitlow's. You order the nicest scotch or tequila or cognac at this place and they serve it in a plastic cup! They place looks high class but it couldn't be lower. They serve you at the bar until a few minutes before closing and you pay for drinks. Guess What? Security is eager to get out of there and they are bullies making you finish your drink. Virginia law allows for drinks until 2AM. 10 min till this assholes are grabbing your drinks after taking your money and not letting you consume what you paid for. Security kicks you out for speaking out about the unfairness of the whole thing. I worked tonight, a double shift. All I wanted was to relax with a drink or two. Never coming back to "nice looking" shit hole. Somehow it seems popular. read more

Overall, we were pretty disappointed with this place. I understand it's supposed to be a bar that serves good food, but that's no excuse for poor service. It took about 15 minutes for a server to come over. He said they were confused about the section. That's okay. We moved tables when we first got there (with the host's permission), maybe that threw a wrench in everything. Plus, it's a new-ish restaurant. Even so, 15 minutes to figure out whose section we are in is excessive. The guy was nice enough. He forgot part of our order which, at that point, was frustrating. Our tacos were fine. He did comp one of our meals. I appreciated that, though not enough to ever go back. The server asked me not to go on yelp and write anything bad. That was weird. Co-owner Scott and the rest of the management team should advise their staff against that. read more

My friend and I came here for dinner and one of the servers were kind enough to move a table so we weren't directly under the sun due to my sensitive eyes. our first server seemed nice but wasn't attentive and kept disappearing while we were waiting to order food. I took away a star for that. Another server andrew, who came by our table was just amazing. He saved the day. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He also recommended the empanadas which was beyond delicious. If every server was as kind and attentive as andrew I definitely will come more often. His service was exceptional. Location The location is incredible seeing as how it is right in the heart of Clarendon. It is less than a block from the nearest metro stop, two blocks from the nearest bus stop, and there is tons of street parking and parking garages in the area. Drinks Tequila. Tequila. Tequila. Need i say more? Over 60 types to try. The Specialty Cocktail menu is unique in that the drinks almost exclusively use tequila. I was a little weary until I had opportunity to try them! The Agave Collins is a MUST! The margaritas are awesome too! They have flavors for days! Food The food is lovely! It is tapas-style which is fun when you're with a bunch of friends (so you can sneak bites of their tacos ;))! The food is inspired by various traditional Latin favorites, but with fusions from around the world. I love the Chinese Five Spice Pork tacos and the Surf and Turf tacos. Packed high with steak and huge pieces of beer-battered shrimp! Enough said! Service As if the Agave Collins and Surf and Turf tacos weren't enough, the staff at Don Tito is truly something exceptional. The service is amazing. Don Tito definitely took the time to create a team of bartenders, servers, and managers that give each customer the time and attention they desire; leaving with the intentions of returning again and again for the company. All in all, Don Tito is the spot that everyone is talking about. If you find yourself in Arlington be sure to stop by. Tacos here are excellent along with the lomo Saltado. They also have a drink with sailor jerry that is delicious. Can't recall the name. Rooftop bar is great and bartenders are friendly. Glad they're making more use of the roof than eventide did. read more
