    Triple dipped Hennessy cigars
    La Dora M.

Ventured out from the Essence Fest activities to support minority owned business as a out of state patron purchased two triple dipped Hennessy cigars for $30 without providing a bag or box...the young worker was surprised I requested/insisted on a bag or box to carry out to return to our hotel. The waitress was like were out of bags. I insisted that we needed a bag or box to ensure the cigars stay fresh since they were a gift. She went back inside the humidor came out with a receipt after she went to the cash register and refunded my card then took the cigars without allowing me to speak to a manger. Stunned...but then again should have known from walking inside she was laying down on the bench taking a nap at 4p in the afternoon. Atmosphere is nice loved the patio but the lack of professionalism in staff nor willing to just give a box.

Wednesday nights, ladies get free margaritas up until 7pm.

The atmosphere is the perfect mix of laid-back, lively, and also a lil bit of classy, whether you're stopping in for a casual drink or making a night out of it. The cocktails are crafted really well (definitely try one of the signature drinks). The food doesn't miss either -- everything I've had has been fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. It's one of those places where you can pull up with friends, have a few drinks, and end up staying way longer than you planned. Highly recommend if you're in the city and want a good time without the stress.

It was pretty…read moreempty when we arrived, which makes sense since they had just opened, but they had R&B music playing on the TV to set the brunch vibes! The food was good. The fish was well-seasoned, the eggs came out exactly as ordered (fried hard), and the biscuit was straight. Overall, everything we ordered was decent. The service was okay. Our waitress was friendly, but she didn't check in very often--possibly because we were chatting a lot and they were still setting up for the day. Drink prices were about average for city cocktails. Most drinks have prices listed, except for the mimosa flight and the margarita flight. Just a heads up: the margarita "flight" isn't really a flight. Instead of smaller pours, it comes as four full-size margaritas, so it's more of a margarita combo than a traditional flight. The flavors included regular (lime), strawberry, watermelon, and blueberry. I had the watermelon margarita and really enjoyed it--it wasn't too strong or too sweet. I also had a French 75, which was pretty standard and decent. And lastly, I don't know who needs to hear this, but their grits are creamy. They were good, but I personally prefer non-creamy grits, so I couldn't eat too much. If you love creamy grits, though, you'll definitely enjoy them. I wanna note that this place is a bit hard to find. It's located in a strip of businesses, but there isn't a sign above the building and the door signage is small, so it's easy to miss from a distance. I honestly wasn't sure I was in the right place until I got really close to the building.....and saw the grass runway LOLLLLL Another small note...I definitely think they should reprint the menu--there were quite a few typos. As my favorite YouTuber would say, that was neither here nor there, that was just a side note! Aside from that, the food and vibe was decent.

I ultimately ordered the Sautéed Garlic Shrimp with butternut squash risotto. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were rich and creamy. Also, Eddie kept my water glass filled and made me feel special and welcomed. The ambiance at the Fountain Lounge is classic luxury. Plus, the staff is always on point. They even remembered my special occasion when I last dined there. Plus, the team was attentive and quite friendly. My only complaint is that the piano is no longer there. Apparently, the powers that be decided to remove the soul of the restaurant. In the days of old, a pianist played sets during dinner. Not only did it make guests truly appreciate the musical style of New Orleans, but the melodic music also drew others into the restaurant. What a shame to have lost the heart and soul of the restaurant. Yet, the staff does their best to create a warm and welcoming environment, while the chefs provide truly top notch cuisine. Whether staying at the Roosevelt or simply enjoying the French Quarter, the Fountain Lounge is a perfect place to enjoy delicious cuisine and top notch service.

I thought it was pricey, but we were in a nice hotel in NOLA.

No music, no food service, or anything that shows that tried to create a nice vibe. It's literally just some chairs on the rooftop. The bar has a bartender, not mixologist, who makes drinks that I can make better at home. The little drinks are served un-garnished in tiny plastic cups and cost $15+. Not to mention they will take whatever tip amount they like out if you forget to close your tab. So my basic plastic cup of lemon, sugar, and a splash of vodka (I can't even call it a lemon drop) was $20. I wish I had taken a photo of how tiny the cups are.

Really disappointing experience…read more Vue honestly felt pretty bare bones to me. Yes, I learned some things about the culture and people of New Orleans and I got a few good pictures but I wouldn't recommend this at all. I was hoping to get a picture with my sister as indicated on the website but I didn't see anyone offer that or see it as an option once we made it there. I thought the mini story in the elevator was fun, short of course but they need to restructure this place I honestly was unimpressed. The website suggest it takes an hour and a half to experience the whole place, we walked the whole place, took pictures, watched 2 videos in well under an hour and a half. The employees were very nice and helpful; maybe I expected to much of Vue but I say temper your expectations.
