I absolutely loved this place! From the food to the ambience everything was perfect. I loved the live music and will definitely be frequenting this spot. Would highly recommend starting with the BBQ shrimp and ordering an espresso martini.

I was blown away with my experience at The Foundation Room New Orleans. From the Speak easy vibe entrance with a breathtaking water fountain to Beautiful artwork on the walls of the staircase. The host Paul was calm and friendly. Blake (a female) the bartender was attentive, made me a delicious drink off the menu and only charged me $13, which was generous considering the other drinks were $16 and up. The decor was gorgeous with the purples, blues and pink pillows and couches, beautiful chandeliers, and candles to set the mood . I enjoyed the Live music while eating this unorthodox grilled cheese Blake suggested. It was the BEST grilled cheese I ever had and it wasn't even traditionally made. I only wish it was a full sandwich. It was pricey ($18) for a half sandwich with no side. The foundation room was clean, pretty and the staff were super friendly. Upon departure, The host Paul invited me back to see the Burlesque show for my birthday. Although I had other plans, I was appreciative of the invite and complimentary tickets. This place gets 5 stars. I will be back

My best friend and I came here for dinner on our girls trip and it was phenomenal. Loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was busy but fantastic. Will definitely return. Their steak skewers were some of the best steak I've ever had. I highly recommend coming here even if you only order these.(their seriously that good!!) We tried multiple other things and all of them were absolutely delicious!

It was nice. Service great, intimate setting. We only stayed a short time, but I enjoyed it while there.

Love coming to this lounge! Always great service and vibes. While the food was good, it wasn't consistent, being that both our plates had something different on it or didn't have something originally from our previous visit. We still will be back again.

Steak Skewers. Very good! "Chargrilled Prime Steak!"

There is a small bar bites menu - the Cubano was tasty but a bit overpriced at $18. The service was okay. We ended up getting water from our server that brought us food as the bartenders were too busy making cocktails. There was a jazz band playing on Thursday night when we visited.

The space is absolutely stunning--flooded with natural light from massive windows that offer breathtaking views of the French Quarter and the mighty Mississippi River. No music, no food service, or anything that shows that tried to create a nice vibe. It's literally just some chairs on the rooftop. The bar has a bartender, not mixologist, who makes drinks that I can make better at home. The little drinks are served un-garnished in tiny plastic cups and cost $15+. Not to mention they will take whatever tip amount they like out if you forget to close your tab. Admittedly, I have other regular stops these days, not for a lack of love or anything, these things happen. But Bar Tonique is a forever favorite, a worthwhile stop before a concert at the Saenger. The best place to stop, along with the Black Penny, on Rampart if you want a good cocktail. We stopped in on a hot Sunday late afternoon. What a refuge! The bar had plenty of seats, and the people in there were a nice mix of locals and cool tourists that don't want to spend their drinking day on Bourbon Street. Drinks are so fairly priced. In a time when cocktails are upwards of 20 bucks even in NOLA, it's nice to see theirs cost considerably less and they have a solid HH with $8 cocktails (rotating specials).
