This place is convenient. Place is clean with plenty of tables and seats. Parking is plenty as well in the front. I ordered a Beef Donair, regular size. They have a large one as well but this was pretty big. There's nothing special. Its on a seran wrap. The wrap keeps crumbling as I took bites. It's very uncomfortable to eat and messy. Pieces of beef keeps falling off. Looks like it's ground beef and not whole beef. Doesn't help the person helping can't speak English well somit's tough to ask questionen oh well! I just bought a chicken wrap there, and it was absolutely terrible. It was take out, wrapped in parchment and foil and put in a bag. The grease in the bottom of the bag was several tablespoons. I ordered this at 6pm during what should be dinner time where one would expect fresh food. As I watched the chicken and lamb on spits, the server scooped up dried chicken bits from a warming unit with a spoon and dropped it into a pita that turned instantly soggy and soaked with grease. Their display boards looked good and we loveeeeee lamb so we wanted to give it a shot, although we don't really like food court eating! It was quite a poor decision but oh well, you never know until you've tried it. The meat was old - you could tell by the colour and the taste; it tasted awful and flavourless. I've never had lamb shank this bad. The lamb wrap was one of the worst I've ever had too! It was packed with a sodium and overly processed - yuck! The vegetables were OK though we know they mixed some leftovers together. I know good food and this place fails to serve good food. It is such a shame because places like these are supposed to be really good! Lesson learned: never trust a display board! It is exaggerated and can easily fool a person (I knew that, duh)! read more

New owners but same low quality. I ordered 2 lamb wraps . I asked if i could get the lamb fresh cut. The lady insisted using the stuff that was sitting in a warming tray. I said that old stuff is usually dry and overdone.she said no its good. The lamb was dry and crappie . Never trust this place again it was a waste of money. Donair Spot Owner Ali (owns Vancouver and Richmond locations) said to me "You're Stupid and Go Fuck Yourself!" On Friday May 27 at 4:26pm I purchased a Chicken platter from Donair Spot at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond BC. When I got home I noticed that the chicken pieces were light and dark pink so I called the owner Ali simply out of concern and for some assurance on the meat colour and to see if he felt it's safe to consume. When I explained what I was seeing, Ali himself without me asking offered to replace my meal if I come the next day Saturday May 28. And in the meantime he asked me to send him a phot of the chicken so immediately after the call I went to take the photo. I had thrown a few bad pieces in the garbage so I picked a couple out rinsed in water a bit to show the actual pink colour and texted him the photo right away. Ali didn't respond so on Saturday May 28 I called to follow up and Ali denied it was his chicken and started raising his voice so I raised my voice to ask him why he didn't respond to my text photo last evening right away if he didn't believe it was his chicken and why he is changing his mind now about replacing the meal and he started shouting at me and called me stupid and told me to "Go Fuck Yourself" and hung up on me. I was talking to him on speaker phone so my wife and kids heard the conversation too. I have never had a business owner use profanity at me and I never was disrespectful to him. I immediately called Lansdowne Mall customer service and the lady told me to file the complaint on the website comment section. Decent decoration, good service. However, food wise: they only use one piece of pita for their wraps, and so the wraps leaks significantly near the end. They tried to fix this by using aluminium foil, however that results in pieces of the foil potentially getting into your mouth (as happened to me). Using paper would be preferable like most other places. Also staff don't use gloves, and the selection of toppings is pretty poor compared to other places. read more

Another solid lunch spot that is quick and cheap. If you want a donair the size of a child's head then stop in here. It's a nice and clean, family run joint with pleasant service. I usually get the falafel donair with hummus and tabouleh, which is loaded with all the toppings and is huge. It's only $6 +tax. I was tempted to get a baklava, as they looked delish, but my donair was so gigantic I couldn't possibly have eaten any more. If you're really hungry you can get a plate, which comes with rice and pita. The chicken and beef look good, but I haven't tried them. I have had the lamb, which I wasn't really fond of since it comes off a big log of processed meat, unlike the chicken and beef which are piled up pieces of real meat. Grabbed a chicken donair on my way to Seattle since I was starving and skipped lunch. It was okay. I did ask for extra sauce which made the whole thing messy. Overall though, it wasn't the best I ever had. I would say that Donair King or Babylon downtown beat this one. They're just so much more tasty. Maybe because they add pickles or hummus or something. I'm in the middle of renovating one house/moving from another, and right now literally ALL my dishes, pots and pans are...I don't know where. Under a drop cloth at one house? In a box at another one? Sigh. What this means is a lot of food that comes wrapped in paper or is eaten with plastic utensils. Donair Spot was one way for me to mix it up a bit when it comes to my current to-go diet. I stayed away from the meat because - well, meat on a revolving spit has never been my thing. Instead I opted for the Veggie Falafel platter, which came with two pitas, a huge amount of hummus and tabouleh, a little bit of salad, and basmati rice. For $8.80 it is a whole lotta food, and let me tell you, all mixed together in one Middle-Eastern kind of melange? Delicious. The falafel had just the right amount of crunch (if a little too "deep fried"/french fry-ish tasting - maybe they need to clean the fryer more often?), the hummus was good and garlicky, and the tabbouleh was fresh. YES. All in all, a satisfying one-container meal that I'd definitely opt for again. When I am coming or going from YVR this is a reliable hole in the wall near the airport for a quick bite. Donair Spot is clean and quick. I order the Lebanese Chicken Shawarma which is the upgrade from the regular with the addition of tabouli and hummus. It is generously filled with all of the standard fresh vegetables and chicken. Although they had a lovely stack of chicken rotating on the spit they filled my shawarma with chicken from a steam tray - boo! I want the fresh stuff! The chicken itself is moist but a lot less flavorful than some of the chicken that I have had elsewhere, but by the time that I tszuj it up with all of the condiments it is just fine. We enjoy eating here a couple times a month. The prices are reasonable and I love the lamb dishes! The guys have always been friendly and helpful to us. Highly recommend the chicken sharwarma, known for its home-made tziki/garlic sauce, & choice of house or greek salad. At $10.99 combo w/ a pop, may not be cheap but will certainly be filling for lunch. Prefer this location over the Marine Drive/Fraser one. read more

You couldn't ask for a more filling and delicious lunch such as these wraps! They just serve large portions chicken, beef and lamb wraps. I usually go with chicken wraps before and try to ask them to put everything on it like cucumbers, jalapeño, veggies, onions, tomatoes and of course the popular sauces like garlic, chili and tzatziki! Before long i shufted to beef wraps and it was so good....but here's my favorite one... I asked if they would be able to mix the meats into one wrap! (Chix and beef or chix and lamb or beef and lamb) i just saw how they filled that wrap from edge to edge and it was nearly impossible to fold it into a wrap itself...seeing that large of a portion was pure joy and it the wrap tastes phenomenal! I have to go through a lot of napkins to finish that meal....man! it was so good! For people on the rush or people who eat with their hands or just don't like cutleries ruin your busy day or just in a hurry...this one for you! They also have plated meals if you decide to go dine in but I will assure you...the food is good and filling and will never disappoint. Will be back for more and always worth to recommend. Add 1 dollar for flavours - this includes homous and tabouleh which are included at other donair restaurants Add 1 dollar for extra meat. I think it should start at $3.50. I'm pretty sure everyone giving this Donair Spot a bad review is eating at a different Donair Spot. I used to regularly order takeout from this location, and will still order from time-to-time, and every time the service and the food are both phenomenal. The workers are always so kind and friendly and treat you like you're family. I usually get the chicken donair or the chicken shawarma platter. The chicken donair is pretty difficult to mess up, unless the wrap breaks as they're making it. I've had that happen to me once and the gentleman gave me the option to have him make a completely new one for me, or to just double wrap it. The chicken shawarma platter, I'm a little bit pickier with. First of all, it's a huge portion for a very good price, I could easily share it with another person and still be content. It comes with basmati rice, a generous portion of chicken, tabouleh, hummus, pita bread, and your choice of sauces (tzatziki, hot sauce). I'm not a fan of parsley so I always ask to substitute it with basmati rice and they always give me a lot extra. One of the only spots in Marpole that open to midnight, with the best type of food to satisfy your drunk (or sober) cravings until the clock strikes 12am. read more

It's a bit expensive for what you get, but it's also the only donair place in Marpole, so when I'm craving donair and I don't want to drive, this is it. However, the biggest reason fot the two star rating is that the training of staff is atrocious. If there is a new staff member, I literally have to tell them how to do their job for the first 3 or 4 times I go in - the owners did a great job when they were behind the counter, but since they've started hiring outside help, the quality has gone way down. read more

The turkish fellow was basically running a one-man show store and it took about 10 minutes for my turn to order. He's quite new to Vancouver and he's quite friendly and always trying to make conversation. fresh ingredients, friendly service, the prices seem in line with the other donair places in town. I had the regular beef donair for $5.49 and it was awesome. Crunchy lettuce, tangy sauce, tender and juicy beef- not dry like some places. The parking lot is a gong show, yes, but at least it has one. read more

I just walked out from this donner spot location and I would say it was THE worst donner that I ever had. I love donner however the Athentic donner is from Labenan or turkey which brings the great taste from culture to their dishes .The guys who own donner spot which there are 3 locations are Persian and really don't know how to make Lebanon's athentic food. It seems they stake chicken with some oli and mix spices and that is all. The hummus and Tzitziki are so runny and salty which you can't even taste the actual ingredient and after all they server me cold chicken from their warmer which obviously were sitting there for while and was dried up as you could hardly chow it. It is also over priced for a.plate of chicken and salad I paid $11.97 compare to other donner shops that you pay usually under $10 .
