Their display boards looked good and we loveeeeee lamb so we wanted to give it a shot, although we don't really like food court eating! It was quite a poor decision but oh well, you never know until you've tried it. The meat was old - you could tell by the colour and the taste; it tasted awful and flavourless. I've never had lamb shank this bad. The lamb wrap was one of the worst I've ever had too! It was packed with a sodium and overly processed - yuck! The vegetables were OK though we know they mixed some leftovers together. I know good food and this place fails to serve good food. It is such a shame because places like these are supposed to be really good! Lesson learned: never trust a display board! It is exaggerated and can easily fool a person (I knew that, duh)!

Pink colour chicken from Donair Spot located at Lansdowne Mall in Richmond BC (same owner as Vancouver locations).

Donair Spot Owner Ali (owns Vancouver and Richmond locations) said to me "You're Stupid and Go Fuck Yourself!" On Friday May 27 at 4:26pm I purchased a Chicken platter from Donair Spot at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond BC. When I got home I noticed that the chicken pieces were light and dark pink so I called the owner Ali simply out of concern and for some assurance on the meat colour and to see if he felt it's safe to consume. When I explained what I was seeing, Ali himself without me asking offered to replace my meal if I come the next day Saturday May 28. And in the meantime he asked me to send him a phot of the chicken so immediately after the call I went to take the photo. I had thrown a few bad pieces in the garbage so I picked a couple out rinsed in water a bit to show the actual pink colour and texted him the photo right away. Ali didn't respond so on Saturday May 28 I called to follow up and Ali denied it was his chicken and started raising his voice so I raised my voice to ask him why he didn't respond to my text photo last evening right away if he didn't believe it was his chicken and why he is changing his mind now about replacing the meal and he started shouting at me and called me stupid and told me to "Go Fuck Yourself" and hung up on me. I was talking to him on speaker phone so my wife and kids heard the conversation too. I have never had a business owner use profanity at me and I never was disrespectful to him. I immediately called Lansdowne Mall customer service and the lady told me to file the complaint on the website comment section. Please y'all stay away from this place it's not worth the health risk from contaminated food and the verbal abuse from the owner.

Surprisingly good lamb leg at a food court! We were at the Landsdowne location and what a pleasant surprise! The lamb leg is well flavoured and juicy soft. They give a generous portion of rice too. Can't ask for more for this price!

I've never been disappointed with my orders from Donair Spot here in Lansdowne Mall Food Court. The portions are generous, the taste always deliciously true to the ethnic origin, the servers friendly and always with a smile when they take my orders. The counter is always clean and food always looks freshly made. Do try their shawarma and tabbouleh. Highly recommended!

The owner is very nice, but the chicken shwarma wasn't anything special and for the price, there are better places in Vancouver.

Their customer service has improved, so I bumped up their score. The donairs are loaded up, so it's worth the price.

They cut the meat well in advance of receiving orders and then leave it soaking in the drippings/grease -- AVOID

Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.

Pleasantly surprised I was!…read more I was not expecting this much delightfulness in my mouth - Doner Stop rocked it for me! On a real whim moment - a friend I was going into town with was carrying on past this joint & said - hey you have to try this Doner - it's good. Oh why not - I said. I popped in & walked around checking out the setup & noticed the freshness & cleanliness right away. I like the decor as well - neat high tables & wood finishing. DS is still a baby - having just opened up 3 months ago. I met the boss & we chatted up a storm. He's a cool guy who's been in Vancouver for over 10 years - originally from Turkey! Ok - you had me at Turkey!!! He recommended the chicken Doner & wow oh wow did this taste of heaven go down or what. The tender halal chicken & Tabouli salad & ingredients as well as added sauces including hot sauce - Mama Mia!!! Heads up for anyone popping in over the next few weeks - the boss has plans for Kebabs & is strategizing how to work in a new grill etc etc. He's real excited about this venture & said I have to come back at the end of February when he hopes to have completed setting up. Sounds awesome - I will definitely be going back! Oh make sure that when you go to DS - show boss the picture of my Doner & tell him to grill it exactly like in the pic!!! You won't be disappointed!

The chicken doner was one of the best I had so far. It was flavorful on its own, with a slight crisp on the edges of the meat. It was not dry and was just right. I got to try several of the sauces and my favorite would be the garlic tzatziki and the cilantro. I didn't really like the doner sauce which was essentially ketchup, mayo and mustard. It was too rich for me. It is a self serve place, where you place the order and then wait to pick up the food. Feta cheese was extra cost which was not stated up front when the staff asked if I want it. That is a bit sneaky I feel.

I got their salad bowl with mixed meat (chicken, lamb, and beef). They have many salad options but if you don't specify which one you want, they will just give you their usual salad. I opted for their greek feta salad. They have a dine-in space but this place is mostly for take out. Their service was pretty fast and they were very busy (it's summer time in Vancouver so makes sense). Their menu is huge and they have lots to try from. I'll definitely come back again and maybe get a wrap to eat at the beach instead. Out of the 3 meats I got, I would say their beef was my favourite - it had a lot of flavour.
