Ordered Create your own Calzato - Grilled Chicken - Yellow onion - roasted garlic Received Create your own Calzato - Fried hot chicken - Banana peppers - Roasted garlic 2 of the toppings being completely NOT what I ordered. At least they got 1 topping correct I guess? Also as you can see, there is an absurd amount of banana peppers in there. I know they tell their employees to load up on the items that cost them the least (ex. Peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc) but that amount of banana peppers is just insane. That picture is just the banana peppers that I pulled out. I probably ate more than double that in the item. The entire middle piece was just banana peppers, no chicken AT ALL. Overall, not a good experience that started with the employee who took the order incorrectly. Then the mistakes carried on to the kitchen where they filled it 70% with banana peppers. If they can't even get the first step done, which is take the order correctly then you know it's only going to get worse from there. OH I ALMOST FORGOT! They also charged an extra .50 because I used my reward points on the Calzato. Overall terrible. 2 stars - we have ordered from this location 4 times this year now. The first order was delivered timely and very tasty. 2nd order picked up - it was ok - 3rd time another pick up not as good as the first time but much better than the second time. The last time the order was for delivery and why not? The first time the order was delivered timely and the pizza was good however this time we never received the pizza yet when I called Sean (not sure of the spelling) i formed me the record indicated the order was delivered. Not his fault the information was incorrect. I then spoke with Tasha who apologized and offered to deliver a new pizza. It had been over 3 hours since I made the original order and I was too hungry to wait. I asked Tasha to refund my money. She indicated that the refund could take 5 to 7 business days (the order was placed on Sunday 7-18). Hopefully we will receive the refund timely. What a Waste of Time! In the last two months I ordered pizza for pickup and it was never ready when I arrived. The last time I was told 6:08 PM and when I got there they told me it hadn't even been put in the oven yet! The building is well maintained and this is one of the most utilized dine in franchise pizza locations I've seen. The employee at the counter was friendly and greeted me promptly. I love Donatos! It is one of my favorite pizza places. I love their thin crust pizzas. I've been eating Donatos for years. My family also eats Donatos when we eat pizza at home in AL. Considering I really enjoy Donatos, I was super excited when I was invited in to try their new cauliflower crust pizza that just launched. They have three different pizzas all made with cauliflower crust. The three pizzas are the Cauliflower Heat, Cauliflower Garden, and Cauliflower Bruschetta. Each pizza lends a different flavor. The Heat would be for people who like spicy foods. It has jalapeños and red pepper flakes. Yum! The Garden is almost like their The Works pizza with no pepperoni or olives. It consist of red sauce, smoked provolone, green peppers, onions, mushroom, and plant-based sausage. Bruschetta is exactly what it is named but with a twist. It consist of tomato bruschetta, smoked provolone, green peppers, onions, spinach, and plant-based sausage. Think bruschetta toast but on a pizza. They are all good! The cauliflower crust is sooo good! You wouldn't even know it was cauliflower crust had they not told you. It taste just like their regular crust and I love that. I love that they launched something new, trendy, and lower carbs than the regular crust. However, the same great taste is not compromised. Loooovvvvee it! NEVER AGAIN! Sorry Donatos (Beckett Ridge) You Suck. So it's my birthday and my loving wife says, "Wanna order in?" I of course, said Yes as any dutiful husband would do. All knowing that she'd prefer to order in rather than prepare a meal. I'm being harsh as really we had planned to go out to eat but the look on my face on Sunday afternoon said that I would prefer to stay home. The ordering in thing was a great idea. We normally order from Marcos as we just love their pizzas, wings, salads etc. We made a mistake and thought we'd try Donatos again. We used to order from Donatos a while back before Marcos jumped to the fore. The order was placed on-line at about 4:00 PM. The online confirmation said that our order would be ready at 5:20PM. We thought, what the heck, we can wait till 5:20. At 5:35 I called them asking where our order was? I was told it was on its way and would be there soon. Well it did show up at about 5:45. One hour and forty five minutes after we placed our order and 25 minutes later than their projected delivery. They put a $10.00 credit on our account that would be used on our next order! That kinda forces us to buy again! I am not liking this. We open all the bags and boxes and the only thing missing was the PIZZA? How could they forget to include a PIZZA, I thought that Pizzerias sole PIZZA.. I have been a big fan of Donato's Pizza and fresh ingredients for many years. I was so happy to be visiting the area this past weekend since there is no Donato's near my current home. We ordered 3 pizzas; Veggie, Pepperoni and Chicken-Spinach. The Veggie has always been my personal fave. I love the regular crust, on the thinner side. I love the way the fresh veggies spread to the crust of the pie. I really love that I can sub extra cheese for the olives. Total with tip and delivery $50. The pizza and breadsticks were very good. The breadsticks are very soft and the cheese dipping sauce is spicy. The food came really quick.

I picked up 2 pizzas from the drive through tonight. I like my pizza well done and then like to dip it in extra sauce. My pizzas were fine. I ordered breadsticks with extra marinara. Before I drove away from the store I checked that there were 2 sauce cups, there were. I got home and they were cheese sauce. I hate cheese sauce, that's why I never have ordered it. I called to see what could be done. They offered me a $2 credit. I said thanks and hung up. Yes I said thanks not so nicely. I called the store back and offered to pay someone to deliver me pizza sauce. When I asked to speak to a manager to ask this, I heard them say " I think it's her again! And laugh out loud. They did offer a discount and remade my food and sent it, but this made my food arrive super late, which was a huge inconvenience as I have a son who needed to get to bed and had to eat a very late dinner. :( It's a shame they can't seem to get organized enough to get orders right. I had a very poor experience with this location. I was in town visiting family from out of state. Donatos is my favorite, and I cannot get it where I live. I always make it a point to have it when I'm back in Ohio. I ordered it for Father's Day lunch. It took 25+ minutes longer than estimated on top of being the completely wrong order. I am a vegetarian and the two pizzas delivered were covered in meat. The delivery driver was not wearing a mask and a signature was required which did not allow for contactless delivery (considering it's a global pandemic). I called the location and the manager's solution was to give me a credit for future use. Not only could I not eat the pizza that was delivered, I was being forced to pay for it, and then it was suggested I spend more money with them as their fix. Let's not forget I am not local. I asked for a refund, which apparently only the GM can do. I was told to call back on Tuesday when he'd be in. I attended my first TasteCasting event this week, which was held at the Cincinnati Donatos Beckett Ridge location. Tom Santor, Donatos Marketing Director, greeted everyone warmly and introduced us to the evening's hosts; Lindsey Myers, Donatos Cincinnati Community Sales Manager, Roger Giles, Direct Supervisor, and Erin Pope, Account Associate -Fahlgen, Columbus OH. While the food was being served, Tom shared a little history of the Company with us. When Jim Grote founded Donatos back in 1963, he did it with only $1,300 dollars in his pocket and a simple philosophy: "To make the best pizza and to treat others the way I would like to be treated." Today this philosophy is still the driving force behind everything we do at Donatos--both in our restaurants and the communities we serve. As a result, our four cultural cornerstones of Live, Love, Laugh and Learn is the thread that weaves through the very fabric of what Donatos stands for. With the success of the company and their product, they expanded into the Cincinnati area in 1993, where there are approximately 23 Donatos Pizzerias. Back to the eating experience; it was a mistake to have eaten earlier in the day because the spread the Donatos team prepared was plentiful to say the least. Appetizers consisted of a Chicken Salad as well as the Chicken Breast Strips. The chicken breast strips are made with all breast meat, lightly battered and baked to perfection. Nice plump chicken strips that were moist and flavorful - nothing like those processed chicken parts from the competition. The pizzas are made with creamy whole mozzarella cheese, a generous amount of a new zesty pepperoni and a sweet Italian sauce made with fresh tomatoes and herbs. Hand-Tossed Works Pizza - topped with zesty pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and provolone cheese. The crusts were tender and chewy matched with just the right amount of fresh ingredients that complimented each other. It really showed that the time invested by Donatos R&D department to develop these pizzas was well worth it. Save some room for the desserts because they are made to the same high standards as anything else with the Donatos name on it. Apple Timpano - Tender crust filled with whole apple slices and topped with a brown sugar streusel and caramel sauce. - A freshly baked apple pie right out of the oven. This was so delicious, that I couldn't stop with just two slices of this masterpiece. - The ingredients were second to none and it was prepared just right. - A great dessert option for any occasion and/or any time of day. Cinnamon Timpano - Tender crust baked with cinnamon sugar and topped with a creamy white icing. - Another great dessert option for those who prefer more of a cinnamon based dessert. For an added bonus, we were invited to the kitchen to try our hand at making a Donatos Hand-Tossed Pizza. Jesy and Ken took them up at their offer and proceeded to make their own individual style pizza. This was a hit with the group as well. The entire Donatos staff was very courteous and their hospitality was first class. One star for the order being correct - all the items we ordered were delivered, with all the correct toppings. That's to be expected, though, right? The second star is for punctuality because the food shows up earlier than the quoted 75-minute delivery time. So, since it was early, you'd think it would be hot, right? More importantly, if you were unfortunate enough to need to order no cheese for dietary restrictions, you'd think the multiple toppings you ordered to compensate for the no cheese might actually cover 75%of the undercooked thin crust. We've ordered Donato's on numerous occasions and it was always good. I've held them in higher regard than most any pizza places out there. Sunday night, we decided on a delivery order of a Mariachi Beef pizza, a Caprese Side Salad, and their Meatballs sounded good too. When our food arrived, the pizza was sparsely topped, and I'd say it was lukewarm, but even that is a stretch. It was cold The volume of the Caprese salad was about 1/2 of what was shown on the website photo, and the Meatballs were just disgusting. Everything looked like it was haphazardly thrown together and sent out the door. I wish people who prepared the food cared as much about how the food looks as the marketing folks do. Sorry to say ... YUM I love the edge to edge toppings and super thin crust. Donato's pizza is really a science of layering and thickness and balancing perfection. I split a large pepperoni with another person when I was in town for a wedding and I didn't want it to end. I love how the toppings go straight up to the edge! And how the pizza is sliced into tiny rectangles (the corners are the best...we had 4 people in my family, and 4 corners...yet we still fought over them because 1 each is not enough). Extremely good and I have lived in other areas of Ohio, Texas, Maryland, DC, Washington State, and have never run into another pizza like Donato's. Denado's pizza Hass to have some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Not to mention they have zero people skills in trying to satisfy customers when orders are totally miss made. I had a horrible experience on Tuesday, (25th Augustabout 7:30pm. After calling in an order for pick up, I arrived at the store to pick up my food. I got back home with my food and noticed it was totally missed made. I didn't go back to the store and just asked for my money back. I was told that it is not store policy to give refunds. They would only give me a store credit. Nowhere in the store is there any signage, or any mention on a receipt of such practice. I was then told by Amanda the manager on duty that I would have to return on Wednesday the 26th to talk to the GM. I didn't ask for her to put in writing that I was at the store and had an issue With a miss made to order and I was owed $6.79. Before she would even get to the point of writing that she turned around and told me to leave the store. If I have it my way Donatos would go in and totally re-train their staff to so that they may better serve their customers and in the long run serve the good of the Denado's name. Which looking at your ratings on yelp for all the Cincinnati area stores it looks like massive amounts of retraining is needed. read more

Love their pizza, it's the best. I highly recommend the chicken mariachi with sour cream. This location has changed a bit over the years I remember years ago when they had phones at every table to phone in your order. When you dine in with them their service is very spotty because they don't necessarily seem to have dedicated "servers" just general staff and you'd sit waiting for a refill for long times without seeing anyone. However, I think that can always be worked on. I love their food, it's made to order, their service is always very polite whether dining in or going through their drive thru window. Whenever I'm out on business, I like to check out the local pizza scene. Yeah, I've had pizza from countless places in Manhattan, I've explored the non-traditional San Francisco fare, and, what pizza odyssey would be complete without Chicago? And all that said, you can find acceptable pizza in and around Detroit, which is home base for me. This... I dunno. I went with hand-tossed, which is two up from the default "thin", and I've gotta say, it's pretty close to thin crust I've had elsewhere. Not quite cracker-thin, but thin. On an all-meat specialty pizza, the flavors really blended together -- excepting for the ham, which was okay -- and seemed quite processed. The sauce was passable, but the entire pizza had a very unusual taste and presentation, as though it had come from an amusement park or concert concession stand. I also tried out a sub, which was, again, kind of strange. Reminiscent of Arby's sub concept about a decade ago, but with way more bread and way less meat. Again, flavors blended together, and I wouldn't have been shocked to learn that with the exception of the lettuce, the whole thing had been microwaved from the freezer. Worst meal EVER!! This Donato's is the WORST. Ordered dinner online, given an hour wait time for delivery. While my order arrived 9 minutes early, it was practically inedible. The pizza was burnt and seasoned with extra red pepper I did not request, making it impossible to eat without gulping a gallon of water after each bite, and the garlic brick street bread was lacking garlic, or flavor of any kind, crunchy on the outside and doughy inside. Called in to place a pick-up order. The phone rang and rang...then someone finally answered and put me I hold. I sat on hold for 5 minutes, and no one came back. So, my husband thought he'd call them from his cell and remind them that I was on the other line patiently waiting to place the order. So, he did that. But, instead of coming on the phone line to take my order, they picked the line up and immediately hung up on me. We just called our order into the Pizza Hut across the street.
