The cake is so cute and I'm very satisfied with it. Her cakes are never frozen and she has mastered her buttercream and I normally are not to fond of buttercream. The buttercream is a bit too sweet and thick for my taste but the chocolate cake is so moist and delicious. Maxine was both pleasant over the phone and in person. She informed me right away that she is licensed and gets inspected which right away I was sold. I drove about 45 mins to an hour to Maxine's home but it was worth it. She accepts payment in cash or checks and will give you a receipt for proof of purchase. I will definitely be ordering from Maxine for all my future upcoming family's birthday. Thank you Maxine!

And the atole...you gotta ask them for it and they'll make it for you right behind the counter. A medium was about a $1.50. The atole has a nice mexican chocolate flavor (of course!), cinnamon flavor and the corn meal they mix in it is very soft and fine.
