She kindly and patiently stayed on the phone with me while I described exactly how the cake was supposed to look like and taste. She was eager to get this done for the lovely couple, even if it meant staying up late or getting up early. She communicated with us the entire time, updating us as the cake (very quickly) came together. Within just a few hours the cake was ready and it looked EXACTLY as I had described- not a detail was off. The next morning the cake was in our fridge and a couple of hours later it was displayed and cut by the bride and groom on their big day. Silvia absolutely saved my best friend's wedding. I opted to bring my ID because I have not been carded in about five years. I am 43, and while I might pass for younger, I do not look younger than 30, I wish. The person ahead of me, who looked my age, bought alcohol and was not carded. I had visited this store several times, and the same cashier has checked me out without trouble before. When it was my turn, he asked to see an ID. I looked at him, puzzled, and asked if he was serious. He said yes. I noted that he had not carded me before; usually I would accept it as a compliment, but I wondered why he skipped the other person. I said, "F*ck it I'll be back" and went to get my ID. When I returned, I mentioned I am 43 and asked why he had not carded the person in front of me. He replied that he was just doing his job. I accepted that but repeated my question, and he avoided it. I handed over my ID, but he refused to scan the 6-pack and tattled out loud to someone I assume was his supervisor. I said fine and asked to take my beer to another cashier. He refused, placed it behind the counter. I asked to have it back and he refused. Tell me I can refuse to sell it to you if I don't want to. I asked again, and he told me to go to the liquor store. I was stunned. I never called him names or said anything derogatory him yet he said I was acting like a 10-year-old. Really, it was the opposite; this was all his reaction because I said F bomb, lol and called him out for not asking the other person for ID while claiming to do his job by asking me for mine. Is swearing against the law? So the other cashier said I'll take it. Hands the 6-pack to the other lady cashier. I grabbed my phone to check a message and the disgruntled cashier accused me of taking a picture of him and I said no I'm not. Then he threaten and said I swear if I catch you are taking picture me. Than stops. So now you are threatening. Honestly, I might have come harsh to him and actually did say sorry. I didn't swear at him directly. The lady cashier apologized for him. I told her I get the rules and laws. But it should apply to all. And if he thought I looked underage. Then thanks homie. But get your facts straight.
