We primarily request delivery, but when we are in the area we LOVE to visit the restaurant. If you want you can sit at the bar and order a fresh sushi roll while watching the chef make it. Crab rangoon are never disappointing, Hunan chicken is a fav and they are always willing to adjust the spice to your level! Pad Thai is also a go to depending on what we are craving! Sushi rolls- we love spicy tuna, lobster cha cha, Valentine and the ocean roll! If you want a soy wrap, they have them available. Authentic feel all the way down to the Buddha. Got crab rangoon, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, and General Tso's chicken. Ordered takeout over the phone, service on the phone and when picking up was wonderful. I used to go to this place as a staple, the main reason was because I loved that they delivered (convenience). I moved 3 blocks from previous location and now they don't deliver. They lost a good customer. When they did deliver it always took longer than what they said to receive the order. I took my boyfriend here because he was disappointed he was unable to try their food due to the whole "we don't deliver" issue. We decided to visit their actual location. Their sushi is mediocre at best, and their crab rangoons taste like they came frozen from a box. Maybe I was lying to myself about how good I thought their food was (granted it had been almost a year since I'd ate there). The inside is dingy and dated. The outside of the building is starting to reflect the interior. Asian Thai has taken all of my chinese/thai delivery business, and will continue too. Overall the best Asian food in the area! I've never dined in and only taken out. I've ordered from here countless times in the last 14 months that I've known this place existed and it has become my "go to" restaurant. Everything I've ordered has been good or above average. The sushi is the best in the area that I've had. My favorite item is the Amazing Seafood. The food is ready between 10-15 minutes from ordering, usually really fast! I've had a few orders flubbed in the past, so it's worth checking the make sure they have the right order. I wanted to share what I would now classify as a positive experience with what I consider one of the best sushi restaurants in the Appleton area. Confusion on my delivery order being a pick up order made for a very long wait for food until we each crossed called to clarify. After that long of a wait having my sushi order sit there waiting to be picked up, the restaurant did not hesitate in remaking the order and delivering it to me asap. Although waiting that long for any food is not what I would classify as a 5 star experience, I really appreciated their excellent customer service in fixing a problem quickly. I love that I can order my favorite Chinese dishes, and still get a sushi roll delivered to me on the side. They are fairly consistent in their delivery times, and their food quality meets my expectations. I'm not sure where these bad reviews are coming from but my husband and I enjoyed this restaurant for many years when we lived in the Fox Valley. I cam honestly say it is my favorite Chinese restaurant EVER. THE BEST crab rangoon. I live in Portland, OR which is a foodie's paradise and cant find crab rangoon like theirs. From the wonton soup to the chicken with vegetables...so good. My hub loves the Amazing Chicken and egg drop, which really is amazing! We used to drive up from Oshkosh once we discovered it as their Asian restaurants were gross/lacking for the longest time until they got like 1 on the west frontage south of Witzel. Only had their sushi once and cant remember much but it was good, I'm pretty basic when it comes to that category so i guess i cant really say. I went here with my roomies over the weekend, and we all really enjoyed our meal. The quality of the fish for my sushi was the best that I've had in Appleton so far, and they had some interesting roll choices. The dumplings I ordered were good. One roomie had the sashimi dinner and said that the quality of his meal was also very good for the area. The other roomie had a chicken entree that he said was really good. Service was good. My roomie who ordered hot food ended up getting his dinner after we'd finished the sushi and sashimi, which was the only downside of the experience. My husband ordered for the first time last week, within a few hours my son was emptying the contents of his stomach into the toilet. I called the location and spoke to a "gentleman" who asked what i wanted if i wanted new food brought over....i really didnt want to have the food from there darken our door again, so i asked for a refund for the 2 items that my son ate. He tells me to call back at 4 when the owner was there because he couldnt do that....i agreed to call back and hung up, about 20 munites later i get a call saying that the guy i spoke to talked to the owner and the owner agreed to a refund... a week later....still no refund....i will be calling again today and this time i will be asking for the total meal not just the 2 items If i could give it 0 stars i would read more

I ate at Dong Po for the first time last night (a Saturday) while in town for a friend's birthday. We got to the restaurant around 8:30pm and there was only one other table there so the place was pretty quiet. The menu is really big and includes thai, chinese, and japanese dishes as well as sushi. Our table had the firecracker roll, spicy tuna and eel roll and all were pretty good (not the best sushi I have ever had but definitely tasty). I ordered the panang curry, one of the thai dishes, and it was AWESOME. Everyone else at the table liked their meals as well (I tried a bite of the curry chicken and the moo shu pork - both were great!). My friend and I had both had mai tais and they were gigantic and very tasty. The portion sizes are huge so prepare to have leftovers for at least one more meal! I ordered delivery from Dong Po last night for the zillionth time (not an exaggeration) and I thought it was about time to write a review. I like Dong Po very much because it is similar in style and flavor to the Chinese food I grew up with, granted that was also in a small town in the Midwest. For example, apart from Dong Po, every other Chinese restaurant has crab rangoon/Phoenix crab that tastes incredibly sweet to me. That bias being said, I still think Dong Po is good and what they do. Inexpensive Chinese food with lots of flavor that pleases everyone (or everyone I've introduced to it). We've ordered probably two dozen different menu items plus sushi (the Incredible Roll lives up to it's name) and the only thing we've been disappointed with is the decline in quality of the Pad Thai. It no longer comes with all of the toppings it should, no cilantro, no lime (though sometimes we get a lemon - gross). Get food from here. My husband and I love Dong Po! We get take out from there a few times a month and he often goes there for lunch with others from work. The lunch specials are great. I like the chicken and shrimp and he likes tangy spicey chicken. Also, try the won ton soup or egg drop soup-- both are good! Prices are reasonable and service is good. I ordered the general tso chicken and wished I had read the gentleman's review about his prior to ordering. It was terrible-no real taste, the color was strange and it had mushrooms. I order this all the time from places and never once has it had mushrooms in it (I hate mushrooms with a passion). I also had the chicken fried rice and for this giant box it managed to have 0 taste at all. Phoned in my order for delivery, of course barely speaks English. when I asked if there were any substitutions, the lady snapped and got awfully rude. delivery driver didn't say squat and just handed me my food while I handed him the money. He was definitely a heavy smoker because his smell overpowered the already smoker's hallway. Got my general tso's chicken and was very disappointed of the quality. the closest I can come to describe the chicken is that its just the plain chicken you would see at buffets with choice to dip the sauce in. The mushi pork with wrap is probably the best in town. We always order a plate of lobster Cha Cha sushi dish when we go. Fresh shrimp and fried lobster tail made this sushi everyone's favorite.
