I went in for a solenoid replacement on a 2012 Mini Cooper with 45k miles. Honestly, this is a 5 minute repair that I could have done for less than 100 dollars. They quoted me for 4 solenoid replacements 4 spark plug replacements and an oil change for a whopping total of 510. I wouldn't trust these guys to mow my lawn. read more

I've taken two of my Volkswagen's here and I always have a great experience. My Jetta had some major issues (transmission one time, computer reprogramming the second) and they were always very informative and always make sure I was getting the best deal. They also got the car back to me quickly both times. Now, I take my Tiguan here for oil changes as we haven't had any major issues. Knock on wood. Fast, friendly and excellent service. Every good thing you read on Yelp about Auto4N is true. My wife broke down on I-71 just before the Dana Avenue exit and was towed to this shop, randomly. The staff was friendly, understanding and extremely communicative. I received many phone call updates during the repairs and everything was explained up front and in an understandable way. Couldn't ask for a better shop and service! I have always been a tried and true "backyard mechanic" customer, the cheaper the better! When my poor VW Bug finally had a problem too big to ignore I took a referral from a friend to AUTO4N. Mike went out of his way to make sure my 2002 Santa Fe was working properly. This was the second time I brought my car to Auto4N because of the power steering. Two separate problems with leaking, and both were a couple months apart from each other. They care about the vehicles they work on. On Monday I took my car in for the power steering leak. Tueaday afternoon when I picked my car up, Mike said he wasn't too happy and wishes I was able to leave my car (sadly I couldn't). Took my car back on Thursday morning and they fixed it right up. Auto4N is a great place. I tried it out based on the reviews here and elsewhere. Sine it was a short(ish) repair, I sat in their waiting area and read a book. But I was also able to see how they interacted with customers over the phone and in person. In every case, they were amazing. I was the first girl to take auto mechanics in high school in 1976; had to because my 62 Buick Electra cracked a piston while zooming me to yet another victory in back-road drag races. That was the beginning of a lifetime of loving how cars work, and I keep the mechanicals pristine. Auto4N meets every high standard for Sven, my Volvo C30 with 80+K miles. He's been under their care since the warranty ran out 20K miles ago, and I expect they'll get him to one of those legendary Volvo 200K+ milestones. They've done fixes on typical Volvo issues, and at the moment are checking him out after he was viciously assaulted by a deep, new pothole that bent a tire rim. Sven's mechanic, Jim, is a master of the craft. The front desk staff are always courteous, and they fit us into appointments like today's as quick as can be. I haven't been living in Cincinnati for very long. I am originally from Dayton. My mechanic there is the only one I would go to to have work done. But instead of having to make the drive home I decided to stop in at Auto4n to have my car looked at before I went on a road trip. Right away over the phone the man who took down my appt details was thorough and knew exactly what I was wanting to have done (even though I didn't). I went in and was pleasantly surprised that it was not your average auto shop. They offered granola bars and hot coffee and free WiFi while I waited. When my car was done being inspected, Mike O., was honest about and upfront about what needed to be done now and what could wait. He gave me estimates on the time it would take and how much it would all cost. When I came back to pick it up, he gave me a free T-shirt that is not corny and that I would actually wear when I took my car for a spin I could tell in the brakes that it was stopping better and riding more smoothly. I randomly pulled into this shop and I'm super grateful I did. When I pulled in, a tech came right outside and took care of me and got my car right up on a lift which was exactly what I wanted to happen to figure out what the hell was going on with my brakes. All of the guys that worked there were super helpful and nice, also very personable and comical. One of the guys gave me a lift to an auto parts store and a ride home which he totally didn't have to do but did anyways and it was MUCH appreciated!! The owner or part owner Mike, 110% made it clear he only does jobs the right way and thorough way and if he sees another complication pop up he only feels comfortable fixing it so that later on down the road there isn't any complications, which I respect completely. He likes to get the job done right the first time with parts he only feels comfortable using. I truly believe he has customers best interests and safety at heart. When all said and done, the price for the work done on my car was fair and I feel completely safe in my car now. At first I thought the price was a little steep but then I called my dad and his best friend who is a mechanic and he said it sounds about right. Price set aside, I went ahead and had them do the job because I knew they did work the precise and rigorous way the first time and I trusted Mikes word. I mean there is nothing worse than getting your car fixed the shitty and cheap way and having it cost you more money overtime because you didn't do it right and free of error the first time... I can say with confidence that the job was done right and I trust that there won't be any future aggravations with the job they performed. Now, I can say I feel like I have a reliable car which I didn't think before walking into that shop. All the people I spoke with at this shop I can shockingly say I trusted and that they had/have my best interest and safety at heart, which normally doesn't happen very easily when it comes to car mechanics (no offense), just takes a little bit to build a trusting relationship. I had originally thought I only had one tail light out, but they thoroughly inspected all my lights and found a few bulbs in the front of my car which were out too. This place is awesome! I had a problem with my wonderful little Prius as I was driving down from Chicago, and they were able to get my car in right away. Of course, by the time I got there, the problem had gone away, so the guys worked with a local Toyota dealership to diagnose what the cause might be. The repair is a big one - I won't hold them responsible for that! - so I'm going to end up getting it fixed in Chicago, but the long and short of it is: They took the time to explain everything to me, they were nice, timely, and they went the extra mile for me. The owner mike is a no nonsense type of person and will just tell you flat out what is wrong with the car. They do not use scare tactics to try to rip you off. They even told me one of my car issues was covered by honda warranty. They were very informative and explained everything clearly. This is a service shop that deserves all of the great reviews. We had sporadic problems with a 2004 Subaru Forester that multiple Subaru dealerships were unable tot fix. Keith and Mike were able to diagnose and fix the problem on the first try. They will have our business moving forward. The only issue with our service was that they ran short on time at the end of the day to complete an AC tune-up, so we will have to bring in the car another day to complete this. However, they were honest and forthcoming about this so no big deal especially given they were the only ones who seemed able to fix our nagging problem. read more

My sister, who now lives in North Carolina, always brought her Passat here and swore by these guys, so I brought my (former) Audi here last month when one of the cylinders went out. I say "former" because the car, though it was fairly new, had been formerly driven by a family member who apparently does not know how to take care of German automobiles. To make a very long and sad story short, the Audi was essentially junked. These guys were so great, I can't even begin to say enough about them. They called me every step of the process; when we realized the car may not be worth fixing, they gave me "as much time as you need" to figure out what to do. They even gave me more money than the junkyard would, and I'm sure it was out of sheer pity for me. Any time I would get a call from Mike with bad news (which was pretty much the entire situation), he was so genuinely sympathetic to my situation and I could tell he genuinely felt bad that this was my first experience with them. When I turned over the title to them, they answered my questions about what type of a new car to look for and had some great advice (I actually bought the car they suggested.) When I asked if I could bring my new vehicle to them even if it wasn't an Audi or VW, they told me "we would love to take care of WHATEVER type of car you decide, and we would love to have your business", These guys go WAY above and beyond; if I could, I would give them 6 stars. Here I am writing my 1st Yelp review, and it's all because of Auto4N. In the summer of '13 I bought a 2009 Jetta Sportwagen TDI out of state. I knew that with it being a VW there would be some things I just couldn't handle on my own. Especially with it being a TDI, I needed to find a good shop...and Auto4N was recommended by a friend that had an older Golf. I had visited the shop a few times in 10 months for standard maintenance and such with great experiences, and then on my most recent visit I was blown away. I had been experiencing some very odd things with the vehicle so I made an appointment. After they ran some diagnostics on it, I got good news and bad news. Bad news was that I'd be needing a new internal computer for the car. Good news is that it was still covered by Volkswagen. After explaining to me everything I needed to know, Mike said I should get an appointment at a dealer, because unfortunately they can't do warranty work like that. He essentially turned down the chance to do a $1000 repair because it was covered by warranty still. Their honesty, knowledge, professionalism, and realistic outlook on the health of vehicles make this shop truly amazing. Their shop is small, but they make great use out of it. There are 2 tables in the waiting area with Wi-Fi available, along with a Keurig machine so you can help yourself to coffee/tea/hot chocolate. They do work on a lot of car makes, but I must say that they truly have a knack for VW, Audi, Volvo, etc. Their prices also seem to be extremely fair...you just have to understand that when working on European cars that parts can sometimes cost more. I never write reviews but i just had to warn everyone of my experience with Auto Foreign. I took my car in to get a few things serviced and after about 5 days of them "fixing" the problem, i get my car back in terrible condition. The interior was scratched, windshield covered in dirt and the WORST thing that happen is that OVER 100 MILES WAS PUT ON MY CAR! over 100 miles! i realized it when i looked at my sticker for my next oil change. I knew i was close to the mileage for my next oil change but this had gone over by 100. Stay away from this place. It is bad bad news! read more

Two things to be sure of in life. VW - and Auto4N. I'm not entirely sure i can articulate into words how incredibly satisfied i was with the service i received at Auto4N. I drive VW because i appreciate the fine mechanical engineering that goes into these cars; But it is widely known that when it comes time to have one serviced, it can be daunting just to find a reputable mechanic, much less one that is fair on price. That's not the case with Auto4N. From the minute i walked into the shop, until the minute they handed my key's back to me, I felt 100% assured i was getting quality service, from genuine people who know what they're doing. Chris, Keith, Tony and Mike were amazing - These guys literally dropped what they were doing just to help my tow truck driver move my car into a spot right up front. Outside of complementing my car (Made me feel better about the current condition) They assured me that i had "Brought a car to them they would be excited to work on". From keeping me updated over the phone (communication was solid as can be) to legitimately educating me on the repair process, to letting me know my car is welcome in they're bay's in the next 1000 miles to be "double checked" - these guys really made me feel like an appreciated customer; which is so rare to find these days. Bottom line - If your looking for someone to take care of not only your car, but give you peace of mind and assurance that you can find quality work for good prices; Do yourself and favor and stop by at Auto4N, they have a customer for life out of us! read more

Auto4N is an EXCELLENT company! I have a 2.5 yr old VW Tiguan and it has had issues starting and the engine light has been on for the past 4 months. After 3 trips to the VW dealership and more than $300 down the drain, it still wasn't fixed and the dealership didn't know what the issue was. They told me the next step was to do maintenance work on it that would cost me another $800! Since I didn't feel confident in their diagnosis, I took it to Auto4N, who had been recommended to me by a local car parts store near me. Within a day, they had diagnosed and fixed the issue and I haven't had any trouble with the car since they fixed it 2 weeks ago. They also let me know there was an open recall on a car part, that the dealership hadn't told me anything about! I would recommend Auto4N to anyone and will continue to go them instead of the dealership for my car repair needs. They saved me a lot of time, hassle, and money. read more
