Afterwards I went in for quick shampoo and conditioner which targeted my dandruff. While the location is somewhat out of the way for me, I can definitely rely on their dedication and handiwork.

My boyfriend and myself got our hair cut from Scott at Don's Cutting Edge. We went during the weekend while he was the only one working at the time. He was very professional and made sure he worked with in the time frame he had until the next appointment so the next customer didnt have to wait too long for their appointment. Very considerate thinking if you ask me. I was nervous to get my hair cut by Scott at first. My hair cut isn't typical and not many hair stylists will attempt it (its a very steep long front, short back angle bob). He took care of my hair and really took the time to cut it right even in the tight time schedule. He did an AMAZING job on my hair as well as my boyfriends hair. Any stylist that can cut both men and women is a GREAT hair stylist in my book. We will definitely be going back. He has been the only stylist to cut our hair PERFECT in a very long time. read more

Scott was my hair stylist . Pretty impressive. He really listens to you carefully, ensures your hair is cut to your expectation. Very patient, gives you good suggestions on hair style which suits you well. Scott is very well experienced and knowledgeable in terms hair conditions , coloring, various styles & trends. I have been going to Don for about 20 years now. So you could say my review is biased in favor of him just for that. But you would be more accurate that my bias and 20 years of business is because of Don. Today, with what was probably my 250th haircut by Don, you could consider me a Don 'expert'. First, if you are looking for Hollywood chic or 90210 salons, wrong place. If you like to spend $200 on a haircut and style, because you think money buys you a better dew, probably not for you either. But if you like good service, someone who is pretty great at keeping to schedule, who charges you fairly and delivers what you ask for, then give Don a call. I have been getting my haircuts from Don's for over ten years, and at this point I can't imagine going elsewhere. For one thing, going to Don is like seeing an old friend. This is like you might imagine an "old-fashioned" barbershop to be: Friendly, good conversation, and a barber who remembers who you are. Not to mention that you get an excellent haircut. Don knows his stuff; he has been cutting hair all his life, and subscribes to the basic philosophy that a barbershop is part of the community. Over the years, while sitting in the chair, we've discussed avery imaginable subject from politics to how to ask a women out on a date. In the meantime, I get an excellent haircut. Don's Cutting Edge is an old school classic shop with a modern twist. it feels like an old barber shop, but there is an HDTV on the wall in front of the chairs for viewing while you get your cut. I have been a client of Michael G's for over two years and he is simply the best. He has an eye for style and always delivers a high caliber haircut. He takes the time to educate his clients about the particulars of their style or haircut before the scissors make the first snip. Scott Riffe, at Don's Cutting Edge in Santa Monica, is amazing! Tried and true, Scott comes through with the female dry cut every time. I have recommended Scott to family and friends who remain his clients. You won't have to wait for your appointment; Scott is punctual and consistently great at styling hair. Leslie rocks! This was my 3rd haircut with her and she always makes me look and feel like a million bucks. Shes super nice, and ive felt super comfortable in her chair since day 1. I normally dont yelp but i was not impressed with my haircut. Kim cut my hair. It looked fine when i left the shop but when i got home, showered and styled it again i noticed it was very uneven and honestly its the worst haircut i have ever gotten.... And to top it off, she answered her phone while cutting my hair , and with the phone up to her ear... Proceeded to cut my hair. Unprofessional if you ask me. Thumbs down. Great old school barber shop AND you can make appointments. In a city of trendy and overpriced hair stylists, Don is a refreshing alternative. Great price, great personality, great haircut. I drive 10 miles for a visit, but I'd happily drive more. This is how men are supposed to get haircuts .. but did I mention you can make appointments .. that's huge. If you come to Dons, you gotta have Leslie cut your hair. Leslie is fantastic! Shes been my go to girl for my hair for over 5 years now. And now she does my wifes hair, brothers hair and my trainers hair :) shes awesome and her schedule is so flexible. A little bit annoying because they said I didn't choose the right barber and they told me who to choose but that obviously wasn't told to you in the booking process, but I'm going to forgive that - just a little annoyed that I drove there. My issue is how do you have someone walk in there for 15 minutes sitting down and not have one person say a word to him like "can I help you?" "Do you want a haircut? " "Do you have an appointment?" Nothing. I wouldn't come back at all- haircuts could be fine, I don't know but the unfriendliness was truly bizarre
