We recently went out of town for my daughter's wedding and left our two German Shepards in the care of Don's pets. Heather was absolutely fantastic, and good natured, about taking all the information about the dogs and what treats they get when. :) Our fur babies received excellent care and were their usual happy, healthy, selves when we picked them up. knowing our girls were in such great hands certainly helped us enjoy the event that took us out of town. Boarded my 6 year old Golden retriever here for a week, she is scared of everything. She did great and they treated her well (or it would have been very evident). People were very helpful even when I had to change the reservation the day before. I will recommend this place to my friends. read more

dogs are confined to a very small cement prison cell and the old lady is a witch. the girl who does grooming sucks and overcharges for her horrible grooming job on my babies and charged me a huge fortune. she said she charged me more bc my poodles are fat. then she did a horrible groom and acted like a witch when i picked my babies up. don't be desperate and use this place!!! drive out of ogden to find a boarding facility for your babies follow your gut on what is right for your darlings while you are out of town i would pay someone to stay at my house all week before i ever sent my babies here for anything again. and btw, wtf is don? read more

For reference here, I have a Golden Retriever and a Weimaraner. We just moved here back in November so my golden was due for a cut and they both needed a bath. When I dropped them off for their appointment I explained that my golden was very wiggly, in your face, just wants attention. Typical golden right? The groomer said it wouldn't be a problem. I also said the Weim is pretty timid, doesn't like baths and will sit and shake. They called about 1:30 and said they were done. The girl was kind of hesitant to say they did okay...she did say the golden was wiggly but they did alright. I go to pick them up and all the groomers are gone. I asked the lady at the shop if there was any notes or anything about their behavior and she said no notes but there was ab extra charge because the golden was too wiggly....I said "um I explained that when I dropped them off and was told it wouldn't be a problem." Her excuse was she just takes the money. The groomer had 2 opportunities to tell me there would be an extra charge for wiggling and didn't. They also didn't trim much off her tail and just fluffed her butt. My Weim still smelled and was very happy to leave. Also there was someone there to drop off a board and the older lady says "What are you doing here? you're not supposed to be here until tomorrow" very rudely and the dog owner explained she left that message the day before. I didn't think that was an appropriate way to address your paying customer. Definitely won't be leaving my dogs there again. read more

I took my pup here for the New puppy training classes, AMAZING! The trainers Truly know what they are doing! Not only do you Learn how to work with your dog but, your dog will learn essential skills (sit, stay, come, and more) but your dog learns to do it with 25 other dogs in the room! Don't get scared off that I said there are 25 other dogs in the class. I felt like I got as much personal help in my training as I needed. The staff let's you call any time and to come a little early and stay a little late with questions! We took our two dogs to Don's for a two-day stay, which included a bath and nail trim. When we dropped them off, they had no record of our reservation, even though we had called to follow up and ask questions about toys, blankets, and so on. Luckily, they were able to accommodate our dogs, or we would have been in a bad position, since we were leaving on vacation. When we picked up our dogs, they had shaved them without asking us. We really like the shaggy look of our dogs and did not appreciate them doing this without our permission. Also, we find it strange that they removed the collars, so that they "wouldn't lose them." If our dogs had gotten away, they wouldn't have had any identifying information. Final note: had we not asked about our dogs' toys and extra food, we wouldn't have got them back. read more

I took my goldendoodle into the groomer at 8:30 am and picked her up at 4:00 pm. They told me she would be ready in 30 minutes. I came back and picked her up. Prior to her appointment, we had a discussion about not shaving her and leaving her coat longer, she only had a few small mats. I'm guessing they forgot about her cause they shaved her down and she smelled horrible, they charged me $107 for the worst groom. Hair uneven, choppy and 2 1/2 inch hairs sticking out, I had to clip off. A rush job for a dog that needed extra time and patience to overcome fear of groomers. When we got home she went potty several times, then she drank approximately 16 cups of water. I had to bathe her, she smelled so bad. I made the appointment with this groomer, cause she grooms and has experience with service dogs and my dog was traumatized by something that happened at another groomers. Needless to say, I'm learning how to groom my dog myself. Thank you for the months of husbandry and desensitization training, you destroyed in 8 hours. read more

We have been taking our new puppies to puppy kindergarten at Don's since the beginning of time!! Initially we met with Don, who has since retired, and Donna and Susan. It's incredible to watch them pull a "bad student " from the class and totally transform the trouble maker into a well behaved student....in a matter of minutes. It's worth watching!! They have a no nonsense approach to helping train our puppies. They concentrate on training the owners as well as your pets, to ensure consistency and longevity when they graduate so neither your pets or "parents " forget what they've learned! The groomers are awesome. Susan is incredible to squeeze me in when I call at the last minute to groom my handsome boy, Hershel. She of course chastises me, very well deserved..for calling at the last minute, but takes care of us!! We've used their boarding facilities for both our short and our extended vacations. Their facilities are clean and climatized and include inside kennels with outside runs. They also let your pets have playtime with the other pets but are careful to consider the personalities of the dogs to ensure they are safe. They encourage you to leave your toys and blankets at home so they don't get lost, chewed up or stolen by other pets....lol. They require you remove their collars for their safety, which I agree. I highly recommend utilizing their facilities for all your pet's needs. Thumbs up!!! read more
