Let's be serious for a minute. The donut shop that used to be here before was pure trash. Always stale, tasted like booty. But this new Donut Bros is fricken amazing. We got 1 dozen , glazed is phenomenal, old fashion is so yummy, fritter was just perfect and the sprinkle donuts was a hit with my baby girl. There have been a lot of donut shops in our area for years...they come and go. This place puts Main Street donuts to shame and puts Christys in the back seat. VERY HAPPY! This shop was recommended by my mail carrier who frequents there. I called about 2 weeks in advance to place an order for a large Birthday Doughnut and five dozen more doughnuts for my daughters birthday.....(kids never eat cake or cup cakes, just the frosting, so it's a waste). The owner Max took my order and we set up a pick up time 730am. I called the day before and confirmed we were still good and no problems. My wife arrived at 725am and the doughnuts were still warm! Everything was fresh and neatly packed. Donut Bros are clean, professional, friendly and DELICIOUS! So do yourself a favor and try them out. Plenty of parking as well. read more

Great prices. The Glaze donut wasn't bad, the dough itself raised an eyebrow. It's different. It's like spongy, maybe that's the way the Glaze is, or all the donuts are? Seating is tight. No AC, no blinds or curtains. There is construction going on in front of the establishment, parking is available in the alley or the adjacent market. The Coffee sizes are laughable, make sure you see the cup re: the size you'd like to get 1st. read more

We LOVE donut bros!!! Everything about them is fantastic and no other donut place compares-believe-you-me, we have tried every donut place in SD I think. I actually have never really considered donuts much at all, one way or another, but since my husband loves them, over the years we have gone a few times a month to check out different places in SD. Fried dough-check; sugar-check....not much difference in my opinion! Sorry donut lovers! One of our kids was severely allergic to dairy so we even had a period of time where we tracked down some pretty cool variations & found some interesting vegan donuts. They were fine, whatever, still fried dough & sugar to me ha. Anyway the years have passed and my husband started bringing home donuts to make Sunday mornings special for the kids & he brought me an old fashioned one. For the first time I noticed that they had cloves and yummy winter spices. They were also light & flaky-WEIRD! UNEXPECTED! WONDERFUL! Long story short it's become a weekly thing. Don't let the construction steer you away from this shop. I just moved back into town and see that the shop is under new management and I see a complete change. Stopped by here on a whim trying to find a spot closer to work. Walked in and was greeted by the owner. Decided on the ham and cheese croissant & a maple bar for later . The croissant was delicious and a good size for the price ($2.50) and the maple bar was well cooked and soft ($0.80). This is a place where you can come get the fresh coffee and get a good tasting donut. Since they have renovated the place is much better, (location wise). It used to be kind of hidden, but now the entrance is on the front plaza facing 2nd Street. This place is really nice, staff is friendly, and they are always very attentive with customers.
