I met up with a few friends here a couple weeks ago on a Tuesday 6/9/26. My friend Joseph bought the first round of drinks. I got the hot chocolate which was good. I heard from my friends that the food here is excellent. From the doughnuts to their breakfast sandwiches. One friend bought a dozen doughnuts to share but I had to decline since I had to watch my sugar intake that day due to an up and coming doctor appointment. However, I did purchased two large vietnamese coffees to go which were really good. I will return soon to try out the food. I do recommend the hot chocolate and vietnamese coffee. read more

The owners are great! Even when it's crowded there is always someone available to help you or at least acknowledge you and let you know that they'll be with you. Now that is customer service. They offer every donut you can think of as well as coffee, hot chocolate, boba, sandwiches etc Their breakfast bagels are okay... they're definitely missing something. These donuts are huge! They're good too! Nice little mom-and-pop joint. Slower than they should be on the recently rainy afternoon I stopped by. They had a good selection still, so maybe I should be selfishly happy that business wasn't good. The donuts were even still yummy the next day--soft and not old grease-tasting. Bonus: they weren't oily enough to have soaked entirely through the box! Did I mention that I got a few donuts holes thrown in with my half dozen, on the house? This place is just by my apartment and I actually got it confused with a very popular donut shop which prompted me to stop by for the first time. I thought the donuts were great and the service was really friendly. The donut selection doesn't including anything hipster or fancy, but they do offer all the good, tried and true traditional flavors which are my favorite anyways. The cake donuts were especially good. They offer a box of 1 dozen for $10 which is reasonable, and much tastier than the junk you can buy at the grocery store. They also offer some other pastries and coffees although I can't attest to how good those are as I was just picking up a box to-go. Picking up a box was very quick. I was in and out in less then 3 minutes. I stopped by around 7am and there were plenty of donuts. I'm not sure what time they run out for the day. Parking is easy just in front of the shop. The place it small, but they do have 5-6 tables inside if you want to sit and eat your donuts there. There is no drive through as to my knowledge. read more

I stop here at least once a week. Their donuts are super soft and fluffy but their ham and cheese croissants are where it's at. Warmed up, and it's literal heaven. They actually fill the croissant with ham and cheese not just all empty inside. The other day I tried the sausage, egg and cheese croissant with jalapeños and that was also delicious. There is no better donut shop than this one! The service is amazing and everyone is always so nice. The jalapeño ham and cheese croissants are where it's all at though. And the iced coffee pairs great with any of their donuts. I also highly recommend the blueberry cake donut! OMG SO GOOD! We have been coming here for years! The owners (2 sisters, I think) are super friendly. They are open long hours, but their donuts are always fresh and yummy. One of my Cambodian friends told me about this family and the very touching situation within that story. Leaving my heart out of this for a moment, the doughnuts are very fresh and taste like quality donuts should taste like. I frequent many pastry shops, Donut City is on par with any bakery, donut shop, whatever, excellent quality for what is served. The touching part is how AND the manner in which many persons support the business. The owner has some personal (family) issue's I will not go into, there is no need to as anyone reading this already knows. He appears to be a selfless person with a heart of Gold, that there are not many more like him is disheartening, personally, I view him as a saint his wife was fortunate enough to encounter prior to her condition. A humble defense of Donut City. I've been a customer of DC for many years. I have yet to meet the man described in the earlier reviews. When I am there, usually on Saturday or Sunday morning, the woman who serves me is attentive, polite and very kind. The donuts are excellent, always fresh and their prices are very fair. This is an old school donut shop, so go find your Cronuts somewhere else, but if you like buttermilk, old fashioned, boston cremes or, my favorite, Apple Fritters, then this is a darn good donut shop. Ignore the haters and give them a try. Bonus Points to Donut City for supporting Loma Vista Elementary School, I love patronizing businesses that give back to their community. read more

Great donuts, even in the afternoon! For some reason I always seem to crave donuts when good donuts store are closed.... so if you're like me searching for decent donuts at 4pm you know they are hard to find, picked over and stale. Most late night donut places are either in sketchy places at 9pm or the donuts are practically inedible. Yes, I know The Donuttery is 24/7 now but sometimes I just like a good basic donut. Well the donuts here were surprisingly fresh, soft, tasty and they had a great selection. I even went a little over board and got some for the next day (cake donuts are great w/coffee even if next day ) and they were still fresh and tasty. Loved how the donuts didn't have a stale plastic taste like most places the day after, almost like I can taste the oil more than the donut flavor..... yuck. In fact they had a slight coconut flavor that I actually really liked (maybe some coconut oil in the fryer?) Guy behind the counter was also great especially w/covid- super clean place, gloves, mask, sneeze guards, etc. definitely feel safe eating here. read more
